First time customer, went for an oil change, a week ago. They mentioned and showed me a picture of my cabin (inside) air filter and it needed to be replaced. No problem, go ahead and do that. They apologized as soon as I got there as they had two no show mechanics so, it took longer than usual. A few days later, it became apparent that there was a "ticking"noise when I used my AC. I returned yesterday-07/13/26 and told them what the problem was. They immediately went out, started the car with the AC running and pretty much knew what the problem was, diagnosed and fixed it within 10 minutes!!! A leaf from the cabin filter had dropped down into the AC fan blade, causing the noise. Fixed, with no charge. Highly recommend the place. read more

Noble auto service.... In the same place as the old National auto repair, known in the industry for being a poor repair company who did damage to lots of vehicles. Working with the tire kingdom down the road to scam customers. Told me in 2021 that my car needed a "whole new front end" and they couldn't do it, took it down the road to Pats, it was tie rod ends, truck is still driving to this day with no further front end work. Replaced the water pump in my car 6 months and 3,000 miles ago. Would not honor the warranty. Faulty work caused the water pump to snap the belt, causing further damage to the engine. I work with vehicles and customers with breakdowns all the time. I will not be using these guys, ever, and suggest my customers to do the same. read more

They went over everything that needed attention and things that I could easily do on my own if needed ( to save on labor costs). They also take pics of the items in question so you know what you're observing while they're explaining things. The prices are comparable if not cheaper than most other shops around. And they give you an up front price for the listed items. They weren't pushy or didn't pressure me into getting the said items fixed as some bigger corporate shops do but let me evaluate things on my own. So I'm driving to work & my car won't change gears out of neutral. I went down the list & no one was answering their phones (you'd think that repair shops would know that cars break down on the way to work all the time & so they at least have someone who can answer the phone) & Adrian did. He was calm & professional, like he knew my day wasn't going well already & he wasn't going to make it worse for me. When I arrived with the car on a tire truck he quickly got me checked in & showed me where the problem was, & I was relieved to find out I didn't need my transmission replaced or rebuilt. He sent me one of the most complete bids I've ever seen which allowed me to pick & choose what work I wanted done & which I didn't. I also like that when accepting the work I was not charged beforehand. The work was done in a VERY timely manner. They didn't get my car so greasy, they treated my car with respect. I showed Adrian a previous bid for work that another place said I had to do right away & Adrian explained why I did not need that particular service done yet & how I'll know when it is time to deal with that issue. This is a place where they are playing the long game... Instead of gouging you for as much as they can, they offer a very fair price knowing that good price & great service is what keeps customers coming back, & also gives people a reason to recommend them to others. An important consideration from a purely female perspective: they never at any point talked down to me, they spoke to me with respect & consideration & never once treated me like a dumb female. & Let me tell you, I've had more than my share of mechanics who assume I'm a dumb female & they charge me more because they think they can since I won't know any better. These guys will explain everything you ask about. I am so happy I've found "my" mechanic shop. My old mechanic retired & it's not easy finding a place you can trust. This crew is amazing. They could have really screwed me but NEVER have. Have always been honest and reliable. They are knowledgeable and proficient. When I didn't understand the mechanic lingo they explained it to me. Educating me so if I ever HAVE to go somewhere else I won't be ripped off. My car is not cheap to fix but the prices have always been on track or cheaper than what I find at other places online. They communicate and keep me up to date on what's being done and do their best to keep in the time frame promised. They have a worth of knowledge and technology to assess and fix the situation. I had been a customer for a year at this location, the place has gone to the dogs. During a routine oil change I asked to check fluids on my daughters car, make sure everything was running properly etc....well first I was told it needed a new front axels which funny the other mechanic who replaced the timing belt said nothing about, a new head gasket which WAS just replaced in January along with the timing belt hmmmm so after that statement I took it to another location that stated who ever did the oil changed spilled it on the engine, it did NOT need a front axel but ALSO it needed power steering fluid. Wow!!!! Everyone knows when you over fill the oil then your expected to change the gasket because it breaks the seal! Mostly it was just good luck. Not the car breaking down on the freeway, of course. And the signs of good luck appeared rather quickly, but the grand finale of good luck was finding National Auto Service. The timing belt went on my fiancée's 2006 PT Cruiser. This could have turned into a costly breakdown, especially because she was on the freeway. Road Rangers showed up before she even got off the phone with AAA. AAA, itself, was rather quick, and the tow truck driver recommended this place (or rather this place was AAA approved). Bill had spectacular customer service. He was very reasonable with the price. We were very lucky to link up with him and National Auto Service. The car broke down at 7:30am on Friday. It was fixed by noon on Saturday. We were very pleased and highly recommend National Auto Service. Maybe it was just luck, but I think National Auto Service had a little bit to do with turning around this otherwise unlucky breakdown! read more

A friend said he would look at the problem for me. It was the electric motor. He bought one for $142.00. It took him fifteen minutes to install it. It now blows wonderfully cold air! Now, figure $142.00 for the motor, $40.00 for half an hour labor, $20.00 for overhead, and $40 for reasonable profit---that comes to $242.00. After Tom Said it would only be $560 to get the car back on the road (fuel pump & relay...way over charged) I drove it off and the check engine light was on and it sputtered. I drive it back to them and they said there were more things wrong but they failed to tell me and let me drive it off. He said it looks like you need a new mass air flow sensor, but I'm not sure that's gonna fix the problem. I took it to my family mechanic and he said the sensor was perfectly fine they just unplugged it. Don't. Do. It. This place used to be great. Honest and kind mechanics, fair dealings, and would even help with issues you were having (and it was especially reassuring that a woman owned the place, although ironically that now seems to be the reason why this place operates as it does). Now? Expect half-done, rushed repairs (especially if you are a woman), highly overpriced repairs (quotes can easily double or triple those of other shops, and your problem STILL may not be resolved), and their errors will result in your having to bring your vehicle back again, and again, and again. They double and triple book vehicles, so if you drop your car off on a Monday, expect to hopefully get it back by the following weekend if you are lucky (and if so you may actually have gotten your repair done correctly, so truly count your blessings!). Just to name a few of the items I have encountered: One of the caps was missing from one of my fluid reservoirs. Instead of, oh, I don't know, asking if they could purchase one for me and add it to my bill, the mechanic tied a garbage bag over it with a rubber band, creating a fire hazard to say the least (and he also ignored electrical problems in the car, which eventually led to its demise). They improperly repaired 2 of my vehicles in two major areas/components, resulting in one having to be scrapped completely as it was essentially irreparable and though the other still runs, it has engine issues unto this day. You can expect to pay several thousands of dollars for these items and still receive halfway done work. Buyer beware. Oh, and many local tow yards will "encourage" you to bring your car here since they get a kickback from some of those several thousands, so be advised! Best to check other shops in the area before stopping here. They will take advantage of you if you let them! read more

The first time I used them trusty technician. This time I brought my truck in for an a/c check. Blowing cold then coolish. My personal opinion was that the freon either needed to be added or removed one of the two. The tech took my truck drove it and came back and said "I don't know why you are worrying about the a/c when all the front end parts need replacing. I said "I just had them replaced". The tech then said they must have used cheap parts". Then the tech said "you need a compressor and drier $700.00". I took the estimate but, not for 1 minute did I believe that I needed front end parts because the person that did the work on my truck I trust 100% percent without a doubt. I then went home and googled the symptoms of my a/c and everything came back as needing freon I then contacted a few a/c places and they said the same thing. I brought my car to the other shop that I 100% trust and they said there was nothing wrong with the front end parts. I purposely took my truck to the other shop that I trust, thus proving that both of these shops have integrity. My car broke down on the Howard Frankland and AAA came to pick it up. They took it to National, who very quickly (within 2 hours) diagnosed the problem. They quoted me a price but worked with me to make it a little lower, and had my car ready for me the following morning. I was very impressed with how nice everyone was, provided thorough explanation and the price was very, very reasonable. Any further issues I have I will definitely take my car back to them. Totally Unreliable! I brought in a 2001 Chrysler Sebring to have an electrical problem fixed, something was draining the five month old battery if left sitting for two or three days. The original invoice was dated May 15, 2006 for $1,526.49 After they call me to pick it up it was done, it was literally un-drivable! Two more times they attempted to repair it and failed. I stopped payment on the credit card, Then today 06/13/2006 they said they replaced the five month old battery, and would only release the car if I paid cash! Nothing but legal car thieves here! BEWARE!! SCAM ARTISTS! - My car (which has been running perfectly) wouldn't start I figured it NEEDED A NEW BATTERY! Tow truck recommended this place because "they are cheap and do great work, " tow truck driver also said I'd get a 40% discount there for going through his towing company. Well I'm a single woman who is 8 months pregnant and just wanted my car fixed so agreed to take it here. Got a phone call next morning quoted 867$ Before tax for alternator, battery, AND belt. Thought it was kinda pricey for my 3 year old car and was very surprised but I agreed to it anyways because I needed my car fixed and well I made the mistake of trusting these guys. I get a phone call from Rick an hour or so later saying my Radiator is leaking?? And the entire thing needs be replaced so now my new total would be $1650 before tax?? Let me just say this is on my 2015 Ford Fiesta with 63,000 miles!! I was like there is NO WAY. I knew something was up so told him not to do the radiator (even though Rick definitely tried to pressure me into it). Had the mechanic show me the 'leak' which wasn't clearly pointed out and looked fine to me. My car always ran perfectly and never once did it heat up, I felt I needed a second opinion so I drove my car away and my car sounded like total crap! It's making a very loud ticking noise. At first I thought it was maybe my radiator?? I Took my car the next day to a reputable mechanic who said MY RADIATOR WAS PERFECTLY FINE!! No leaks! No cracks! And the purge valve was unplugged which was making the noise! My car was fine until it entered this shop. In total I paid $966.19 on my car to get a battery, alternator, and belt and now my car runs worse than it ever has. They charged me $240 for a battery!! Didn't tell me that until AFTER the battery was installed and I was checking out! My car is a 2015 Ford Fiesta. These guys TOTALY RIPPED ME OFF! DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!! The guy told me I won't get another week out of my car for my "broken radiator" that is PERFECTLY FINE. I have been lied to directly to my face. Plus I never got my 40% discount. The very day I picked up the Nissan it started leaking oil, I took it back 2 twice they said it was fixed, I just paid 200 dollars to someone else to stop the leak on their 5200 dollar repair. As for the van I asked them to stop the engine oil and transmission fluid leaks, 4200 dollars on a 1994 150 Van.......When I got it back it leaked worse then when I took it to them. That cost me almost 1200 dollars to repair their repairs, Loose bolts on the transmission pan and valve cover, where causing some of the leaks. The front end they installed had no grease in the joints at all, just stuck it in there dry and gave it back. They put my steering wheel back on upside down and you could not see the dash. The final straw was the fact that someone there stole the 10 to 15 dollar bills in cash I always leave in the ashtray for tolls and emergency's. Run Run Run do not trust their options or their work. Auto breakdowns are harrowing. I have found a calming solution! I was recently directed to National Auto Services Center. They helped me get back on the road quickly, replacing my broken alternator and well-worn battery. They are very professional yet very down-to-earth people. I was not misled nor made to purchase unnecessary repairs. They took good care of me, plain and simple, quickly and without undue pressure. Three weeks later, my late-model truck had another issue and I had the tow driver take me straight to National Auto. Again, they approached my problem in the most economical fashion and I was back on the road as soon as possible. Their attention to my safety was forefront in their actions and I left VERY impressed with their abilities, their utmost care for the customer, and their family culture. I am recommending their services to all my friends and co-workers, anyone in their service area. Oddly enough they found another high cost problem with my car , even tho I had no indication of other problems.O course they put the worry in me that if I did not fix it now ,it'd get worse and cost more, So reluctantly I did and paid alot more than I expected. Brought vehicle in for service because they were "AAA Approved Auto Repair". Bill lied and attempted to take advantage of us. Issue of car was resolved with a simple fuse, but they tried to charge us over $500 to replace the alternator, battery, and belt. After talking to Bill on the phone I got a bad feeling when I started asking him specific questions regarding the voltage of the alternator that needed to be replaced. He told me it was around 12.4 or 12.5, when in fact after leaving the shop it tested at over 14. We paid for the service to the fuse but declined the service for the belt, battery, and alternator. Took the vehicle to get the battery, starter, and alternator tested at another store and all were still good. Be careful with this place, they tried to take advantage of my wife and lied directly to me on the phone. read more

Be warned. I took my car here because AAA recommended it. National told me I needed a new rack (steering) and because the parts that need to be removed in order to access the rack were rusted, they would have to be cut out and replaced. The car wasn't safely drivable to take it somewhere else for a second opinion and I'm pretty busy so I let them go ahead. They charged me about $3,500. The "new" rack they installed failed in less than a year. I brought it back and they refused to honor the warranty, claiming that the parts were rusted again. I live in shore acres where it floods often so figured it was possible, but not feeling like being taken for a sucker twice I took it to Midas on 4th street and was told that National had installed a remanufactured rack (which, according to Midas, means that it could be a piece of junk with the housing replaced - in any event, not a new part). Midas also told me there was no reason to cut out the parts to access the rack, any mechanic should know that you just heat up the nut with a torch. Brand new Toyota stamped rack installed for about $1,500. I will be calling AAA to complain about National and am considering whether to try and recover the $3,500 from National. read more
