We had a back up in our kitchen clean out and I reached out to National Rooter. They were easy to communicate, even though I texted after hours, they told me they will send out someone out tomorrow morning. Surely they did, Sal came over diagnosed the problem and used the electrical snake to clean it out. He even used a tent to cover the electrical snake to protect our yard from the dirty water that was splashing on the snakes return. I have used several companies for the same problem in the past and I never saw them using the tent over the electrical snake. They were very reasonable in pricing too. I would definitely call them again, but hopefully not too soon! read more

I had a very sudden plumbing emergency right in the middle of trying to get both my kids to school this morning. I tried calling several places that told me I shouldn't be having the problem I was having (waste backing up into my master suite stall shower even though no water was being used anywhere in the house) and that they could send someone out in several hours but not any sooner. But someone from National called me back right away, even before their business hours, and even though they also weren't sure why I was having this problem, they believed me and shifted things around to get someone out to help me right away. He quickly fixed the issue with my main line and gave me some great information about next steps and preventive measures. I started my morning thinking I was going to have a massive, gross, expensive problem eating up my whole day, and instead the whole thing was fixed, paid for at an extremely reasonable rate, and done within an hour. Moved into a new house only to find that my sink flooded when I washed my clothes! I urgently reached out to a number of plumbers online and a few replied immediately including Ron from National Rooter. Of all of them, Ron was most flexible in getting to my house ASAP. Ron's communication was super easy and efficient. I was juggling this problem and work and other things and he always replied immediately when I followed up with a question which made my life so easy. My insurance said they could cover it but the plumber needs to be licensed and insured. I followed up with Ron and he highly sent me all the details immediately. The plumber came on time, was quick, friendly and fixed the problem. My neighbor saw the plumber and needed help too and he was flexible and went over there to help too. For the hour, it was $150. I knew this was reasonable because another company that responded to me but was too booked to make it gave me the tip that the going rate will be $150-$200/hour so I knew it was a good deal. Other plumbers quoted me around $175. This was such a smooth process for a stressful situation for me so I really appreciate their great service and I will be contacting them if I need them again. read more

If you're scanning reviews, I recommend you call National Rooter to get your clogged sewer line flowing smoothly. I found National Rooter two years ago when a clog in my main sewer line resulted in a backup in my bathtub and shower pan. I've got 60-yr old clay pipes that apparently make it easy for nearby tree roots to get into - that slow the flow. I liked the reviews I saw in Yelp for National Rooter, and I decided to give them a try. They returned my call within a short period of time, and they were at my house clearing the clog a short time after that. The service tech ("Sal" I think) was friendly, and he knew what he was doing. He used a heavy-duty powered snake that got the main line flowing smoothly again. And, the cost was very reasonable. Fast-forward to last week when the same line clogged again. I called National Rooter, but they were booked solid for a couple days. Reluctantly, I called another rooter service that came out and used a high-pressure jet device to clear out the main line (and an underground pipe that transports downspout rain to the sidewalk). The main sewer line began flowing smoothly. But, the backup occurred again in less than a week (at midnight). I decided to try National Rooter again in the morning, and I'm glad I did. Ron answered the phone on my first try. His schedule was full for the day, but he said he'd see if he might be able to help out. Just before noon, Ron called back and indicated he had a service tech that could fit me in. The tech arrived at my house around noon. After assessing the situation - and hearing the history, Anthony broke out the powered snake and got to work. The snake hit some resistance down near the sidewalk - likely some roots that were acting like a mesh slowing flow or outright clogging. Apparently, the power jet wasn't effective at clearing the roots - just getting the clog cleared temporarily. Anthony was friendly, and the charge - once again - was very reasonable. It turns out that Anthony came in on his day off just to help me and one other homeowner. I know we're talking about a sewer rooter service here, but THAT was a a Wow! experience. Anyone could have come in here and run the rooter when my kitchen sink blocked up. But Sal, from National Rooter, actually looked at it, thought briefly and then decided to just open up the area of the pipe where he suspected the whole problem was. He was right - and his consideration of the problem (as opposed to 'auto pilot' which i have seen before) saved us money, time and aggravation. Plus he built in a thing into the pipeline that enables my husband to do it himself in the future. I called National Rooter in the morning due to a dripping noise in my crawl space and Ron showed up the same afternoon. He found the reason for the noise immediately and explained that it is caused by expansion of the pipe when running warm water. Hence, nothing to worry about. I messaged the business in the morning and had someone at my house that same afternoon to fix a bad leak. We have a super old claw foot tub that's nearly impossible to find parts for, but he made a trip to a hardware store to see if they had what we needed. Even though he couldn't find the part, he was able to rebuild the inside of the faucet handle to completely fix the leak. Super happy with the service we got, and the price was more than fair. I have never posted on Yelp before; however, my experience with Ron and National Rooter prompted me to do so. I called Ron, after getting a referral, to take care of some urgent work for my elderly parents. Sal happened to be finishing up another job and was able to get to their house relatively quickly and address their situation. After a lengthy (and rather messy) assessment, it was determined that their problem was more complex than originally thought, and my parents ended up using their homeowners insurance. Both Ron and Sal were very patient and respectful of my parents, kept me updated (from 35 miles away), and did not charge them for work they were unable to complete. Ron and his team at National Rooter are the best. They are professional and courteous and are committed to solving their customer's problems at a fair price. We had a backed up sewer line. Another company came to try to fix it but failed and charged $600 despite their failure. Ron's team from National Rooter came and successfully removed the blockage, and then when it happened again came to the house to root it out again without an additional charge. Finally National Rooter discovered the real source of the problem with a camera (cracked sewer line) and fixed it at a reasonable price. The comparison between National Rooter and the other plumbing company is incredible. With the other company it felt like they were trying to extract as much money as possible from our family's misery. National Rooter's plumbers thought about the possible sources of the problem and quickly found and fixed it. National Rooter is the only plumber we'll use in the future. read more

My slow-running shower drain was not a big challenge, but Ron and his partner treated it seriously and quickly had the problem taken care of.
