I'd like to give less than one star. horrible, absolutely horrible. no one answers the telephone. Nobody answers their email and nobody ever gets back after hold on for 45 minutes and then get a voicemail and nobody calls you back simply trying to get an invoice so I could pay for a battery for a wheelchair and I'm waiting three weeks and a half just to get an invoice. Update: as of yesterday January 21st 2025, the parts for my husband's chair will be in 6 to 8 weeks from now. Then we have to schedule the appointment for national seating to fix it. So in two months we will know if the correct parts were ordered. That will make it 10 to 11 months waiting for a wheelchair repair. And since they keep ordering the wrong parts, I have zero faith that the correct parts were ordered. This is absolutely ridiculous. read more

If there was a no stars option that would be my pick. In less than a year of my mother receiving her chair there was already tissues with her mobility chair. I called NSM for months to schedule a repair appointment. Finally after the third techs and then waiting months for the replacement part to arrive. There's a still the same issue that makes my mother feel uncomfortable riding in the chair. In my opinion this chair is a piece of crap the quality is cheap. Medicare needs to do a better job of selecting these vendors, because the level of service being provided to people with disabilities is unacceptable. So if you or your loves is being evaluated for a chair tell your doctor, physical therapist or whomever to recommend another chair company. Do waste your 20% deductible. read more

After a full year of trying to get a wheelchair from this company, my experience is much the same as the rest here. After dealing with them for a year I was no closer to getting a chair than a year ago. employees lie, hen my chair died it took them 3 weeks to fix it, and I am 100% dependent on it. They are terrible. The mass and ri branches were run under the manager from mass. She lies, falsifies documents and sends unlicensed atp to order parts for children. When called out on their lies and incompetency they fired us as a client. That's right. Fired a 7 year old that cannot advocate for themselves. This company should be shut down. read more

If you need equipment, expect it to take a good... year. Been trying to get a new seat cushion for MONTHS. No one answers phone calls or returns voicemails. I have severe scoliosis and constant back pain, my seat makes it worse. I also can't get my new joystick because I still can't get in contact with anyone to move along the process. It's gotten wet, and wouldn't turn on before. Still waiting!!! Would not recommend this organization. read more

If I could give zero I would. As a client of 8yrs to the Austin Tx location we are beyond disgusted and feed up with the horrible business and customer service or there lack of we've experienced since they took Austin Travis Medical over. The so called lead lady in the office is racist, rude, sexist, disrespectful, lies constantly, never answers the phone, refuses to take accountability or offer help to anyone! We asked to speak with the manager several times over the years and never any response, this also includes the manager's director with no willingness to speak or listen. But most sad of all our entire community (clients, caregivers, therapists, physicians, parents, Medicaid reps, families, hospitals, social workers) all share the same exact stories of neglect and lies. But nothing changes and it's just swept under the carpet and shoved in a closet while disabled clients are confined in unsafe inhuman situations waiting for help with the client's quality of life. We just can't grasp the concept of this million dollar company sleeping silently at night when so many issues go evaded and ignored as if clients are a nuisance. We've been trying to find and speak with a company ombudsman but that info is held hostage. Just one tiny example of endless examples it took 3yrs & several reveals for a client to get a wheelchair forced to try to function in an unsafe chair and even confined to a bed for weeks waiting on someone to do their job. Looking for lawyers! There's sooooo many clients that would contribute their experiences to a suite. And we all have documented proof! read more

Do not use this company. Prices are crazy. Customer service is the worst. Got hooked up with the through the rehab I was at. They delivered my chair by dropping it in the drive. Didn't show me any of the features, how I could adjust things - nothing. Not even 6 months and one of the arms broke. At first they told me they would need insurance approval. I said it should be under warranty. Took weeks and finally got the call they would be coming out. The service window - 9 to 5. Called and couldn't get any more detail. I am in a wheelchair so I have nothing to do but wait? Would never buy from them again. read more

My wheelchair batteries died and I was told it would take six weeks to get new batteries for my chair which left me stranded in bed for 6 weeks and which caused me to have bed sores and lose money from not being able to get out and take care of business and I was unable to go to doctors appointments they would not send batteries no matter what until the process was complete even though the doctors and insurance company had fulfill their obligation to get me the batteries I needed and it was under warranty if things don't change with this company I'm going to have to find other options this company has changed and now is the worst to deal with they need to do repairs and Battery swaps upon pre-approval not leave the patient stranded and unable to be mobile I hope the company hears me loud because I'm going to get louder if not read more

Since being shuffled from southbound to Franklin nothing but a nightmare. The virtual tech from Philly dropped the ball, she ordered only part of what I needed. Then the order was corrected and what I needed was sent to Iowa and not boston. Jennifer the branch manager refused to overnight what I needed, according a branch employee, she could not justify the expense. Even though I have only this unsafe wheelchair. Then the tech who came last week said that they sent him not the proper parts to fix my chair. He did document thar my chair was unsafe. Just like magic the rest of my parts were found but could not be installed until almost a week later. Today. And we were promised that it would happen today. No calls up to noon so we got on the phone. After several messages we received word that it would be between 1pm today and 3pm today. Not a single word from the tech that he would be late. Several calls later and the branch manager Jennifer not taking our calls, we were told that the repair would not take place until this Saturday now. They could not bum any patients tomorrow, I had to take my place at the back of the list. This has been going on for four weeks now. In an unsafe chair. (I have no other options) And the last we heard from customer service Jennifer would be calling us. Terrible experience with this company. Specifically Jill stickler-page. She is probably the worst person I've ever worked with. Very unprofessional, doesn't return phone calls, for months and months. Someone with her level of professionalism should NOT be in this field. WORST COMPANY EVER! They misrepresent their products. It took TWO YEARS to get my wheelchair ordered bc the salesmen is that lazy and incompetent. They don't have enough technicians to have them available more than two days a week. They drop the ball constantly. My wheelchair broke after two months of getting it. It took them TWO AND A HALF MONTHS to fix it. The ENTIRE SUMMER. They gave me a loaner chair for someone three times my size after 6 weeks! And by the time I got my chair back the loaner needed repairs bc it was so crappy to begin with. And when I got my chair back not all the repairs were made. So now they have to send a guy back out. When? In a week. These people should have to go without legs for a week. Terrible unethical company. read more

Using them for about 10 years. Stuck with them given MassHealth. Other option is equally as bad. I think Lisa G must be somehow connected with NSM, because I have never met anyone who thought NSM had fantastic customer service. I am now dealing with a manual chair that was literally put together incorrectly so that the frame itself was damaged. This chair is less than a year old and is currently inoperable. My son is a teenager and using his old chair--he looks like a clown in the circus as that chair is grossly too small now. read more

This company should be ashamed of themselves. NEVER buy a wheelchair from them. My husband is in a wheelchair from a spinal cord injury. He ordered a new chair from this company in November 2015. He needed some parts for the wheels, despite numerous emails and phone calls, the rep never got back to him and never ordered the parts. Well today while crossing the street to North Station in Boston the wheel came off the new Ti chair and my husband fell in the street. Terrible customer service. I had a fitting for a new chair in August. In mid-September they hadn't even submitted a request to my insurance company. Insurance approved it end of September, TiLite made and shipped the chair two weeks ago, and National Seating and Mobility still hasn't called me to set up delivery. No one in their office has a clue why or where the chair is, they just keep passing me to other clueless people. read more

The guy who came to measure me for my first wheelchair ever didn't measure me right. I asked for a certain model wheelchair that I wanted since I am the one that has to be in the chair not him. I contacted my insurance company who said that the one I want is fine they will pay for it. So now that chair i do have is not the one I requested and I don't fit in it so I may have to sell it or donate the new wheelchair since I can't use it and wont use it since it's not what I requested and wanted in the first place. Totally different everything only thing he got right what the color and transit system on the chair everything else was wrong i even requested the free backpack and didn't get that. They don't even deserve one star.... My boyfriend's chair was damaged and a third party agreed to pay for the repairs and NSM can't even get that correct. I have been waiting a whole month for parts to be ordered. Customer service sucks and they are beyond rude. For them to be in the business that caters to people with disabilities they have no humanity. I guess they don't realize that that's their only option for being mobile so to have to wait months for service is RIDICULOUS.
