I wanted a subwoofer put in my car, I ordered it online from Amazon (its a two 10 inch subwoofer setup) and decided it would be better for some body professional to do it rather than trying to do it myself. I called 3 business in the Marlborough area and Rafa said he could get me setup on the same day I called. Everywhere else needed to schedule an appointment and often had a few weeks of wait time. I came in, there was a little wait, but Rafa got my sub put in my car with an amp and a volume nob to control the bass. Its been a few weeks since then, Ive had the bass played at full volume frequently and I waited to write a review to see if I had got scammed or not. Rafa did a great job, the subs are boomin and they work great so far! Some places will often divert too much power to the speakers so they blow and you come back to the shop (so they get more money off you). So far my speakers are in great condition and I have no complaints. Rafa is the guy to go to! Big thanks!!! I made an appointment. I was on time for 10 am. Rafael started working right away. Said it would be 3 hours but took only 2. He installed 2 front component speakers with custom cutout for tweeters. I've got an older sports car. The sound system was never a big priority for the manufacturer so I took my car to an after market specialist for sound. It worked pretty well but there was some distributor noise that got worse as the car got older. Tried one or two other places who only seemed to make it worse. They guys at Rafa were able to finally fix the problem. My system hasn't sounded this good in years. I can finally hear the nuances of the music without the engine noise. I recently purchased a used Miati with what I considered to be a rather complicated after market sound / nav unit. I did not know how to use all the features or if any of them needed repair. The manager/ owner spent almost an hour with me making adjustments and educating me about the system. The owner is a person who takes great pride in his work, is friendly and knowledgeable. Don't waste your time like i did. I had an appointment at 12 for tints and told them that I would have to be out by 330. Everything was ok and set. 2 days later I show up at 12 just to find out that the guy that was doing the work on my car wasn't going to be there till 2 and the price went up from what i was told. I needed a new stereo for the 2001 Mazda Miata I recently inherited from my father. I was reluctant to make any changes to my dad's prized possession, but Rafa was very reassuring. He booked a next day appointment, let me leave the car overnight. Luke (one of his technicians) engaged, and it was reassuring for me to find young folks who are passionate and motivated. Rafa was to be out of town the day of my installation, but I was in the very capable hands of Angel and Luke. They surprised me with phone integration... I didn't realize that was part of my package. Walking in, you could be intimidated by some of the extreme custom car stereo work that they've got going in the shop, WHICH IS AMAZING, but they still nail the detail work on a simple factory head replacement like mine. This shop will cost a little bit more than the Best Buy "installers" BUT you are getting QUALITY work from solid technicians, while you are also supporting small business. SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS!!!
