Bad management lying about opening time!!!! I show up @2:20am to order a burger for my lunch when their close time on Apple says 3am and their doors are locked shut with staff cleaning up already practically out the door. Wasted my gasoline and time, I would've just went to jack in the box

My first time trying this chain! Ngl, I had a bit of a sticker shock seeing a single patty cheeseburger is $9.50. Beautiful looking pies on display too, but I was just here for a burger. Gotta say it was very delicious and decent sized for sure! But price wise, it's kinda up there for a fast food chain. If I need to pay over $10 for a burger, I'd rather support a local business instead. This location was also a little sketchy at night.

Been over a decade since I last set foot in Nation's. Cheaped out on getting pie back then; cheaped out on getting pie now. Lowkey regretting it because all the pies looked really delicious! Anyway, can only speak for the burgers here.. they're expensive but noticeably better than your typical Mickey Dees and Burger Kings. Value wise I'm still sticking with In-n-Out.. entree and fries at Nation's will set you back $12-16.. yikes!

Always my favorite! Bacon Cheeseburger- now $12. I always visit here at least once when I come to the Bay Area to help out my folks. It's getting to be monthly trips now so I'm getting Nations on the regular. Usually we go Sunday after church so the folks can get "breakfast for dinner." My dad always gets the two egger breakfast with sausage. My mom the french toast. My brother Pete usually an omelet. I'm the odd one since I have to have a cheeseburger. Since I grew up in El Cerrito, Nation's was the place we would go after the prom - open 24 hours. There's something about the delicious miracle whip dressing and sweet white onion. We don't have Nation's in SoCal. My husband and I sometimes joke that we'll open a Nation's franchise when we retire.

Went for a late night dinner run after leaving a game. The staff were kind and got our food quickly! I really enjoyed the desserts! The strawberry cheesecake and blueberry crème pie were so good! I definitely want some more of that! The restaurant was clean and had an average tone even with it being late at night.

After a visit to Miller Knox park we went to Nations for lunch. This must be the flagship restruant of the chain. It is large and bright. The booths and tables look new. Everything seemed clean. We order our lunch from the counter. The staff were polite. My husband had the grilled ham and cheese. He enjoyed it. I split a burger with Juniper. I thought the burger tasted old. The tomato and lettuce were fresh. There was plenty of mayo and extra pickles (per Juniper's) request. We had chocolate milkshakes. They were thick and creamy. We have eaten at other Nations but this was our first time here.

I love nation's pies they have a large selection to choose from. My favorite oie is the seasonal key lime pie. The pie is tangy and tart and delicious. The service is quick and the staff is friendly. Nation's also has excellent burgers and fries.

    CHEESECAKE PIE PLAIN (SLICE)Cheesecake

I was craving cheesecake and stopped at Nation's Giant Hamburgers. They charge $9.89 for one slice which is pretty pricey. I put the cheesecake slice next to a dollar bill for a size comparison. Don't get me wrong, the cheesecake was creamy and delicious... but it would've been better with a thicker crust.

After trying my first Dave's in Pinole, this was my 2nd and had the same experience: consistent. This one is in El Cerrito Plaza Shopping Center by the BART station. I ordered Dave's # 2: Two sliders with fries and comes with pickles ($17.49). I chose the medium with heat options of No Spice, Little Mild, Mild, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot and Reaper. I also got a side of Kale Slaw ($4.59) and added a large Crispy Fried Pickles ($7.99). Mind you, this was a snack, so the sliders were the perfect size. One for me and one for the wifey and we shared the rest. The chicken is crispy on the outside but was simultaneously moist and tender inside. The heat level is basically how many (or how little) they sprinkled on the spice powder. The side of Kale Slaw provided a nice buffer to cut out the saltiness as it's a nice balance of crispy, fresh veggies with a sweet and tangy flavor. I also loved the side of pickles that came with the # 2. They're just plain pickles, and they were definitely better than the Crispy Fried Pickles (skip in my opinion). These were overly seasoned and salty to my liking. I ended up removing the breading just to get to the pickles inside. I also found the price to be too steep to justify the price and quantity that came with it. Overall, it's a solid sandwich that makes chicken right. Better than KFC, but not Popeye's and Jollibee.

It came with a side of coleslaw (3.5 Stars) and spiced honey (3 Stars). They fried a whole breast, it was so large that it over flowed the toasted brioche bun. The only thinking that made it spicy was the homemade spicy mayo, so it wasn't that spicy. I noticed on the menu they have sauces, like Nashville and buffalo. I think next time I'll try one of those sauces to kick up the heat. The cheese I add was not needed, I should have left off. The Fries (4 stars) were coated with potato flour and seasoning, which made a great crispy crust, served hot. Mac N' Cheese (4 Stars $6.49) I ordered the small 8oz, it was corkscrew pasta covered with a cheese sauce that was awesome with some Cajun spices, a like dirt Mac and some extra cheese on top. The burger was fresh and flavorful--you can taste the quality in every bite. The onion rings were on point too: crispy, not greasy, perfectly cooked. Dipping them into the habanero mayo gave it just the right kick. Definitely recommend that combo. The staff was friendly and kept things cool even though there were only two or three people running the place. The spot itself is small, just a few tables and chairs, with a little bit of Latin music playing in the background, which gave it a nice touch. When I first got there, it wasn't too busy, but by the time I finished, it was filling up. Walked around the block to stretch out, came back 15 minutes later, and the place was packed. What's also impressive is that their fried chicken sandwich was voted one of Yelp's Top 50 Fried Chicken Sandwiches in California, ranking #33 in the state. That's what I'm definitely trying next time. Final verdict: Great burger, great onion rings, friendly service, and a spot worth checking out if you're around University Ave in Berkeley. Two thumbs up from me.
