We came in prepared to buy 4 pairs of glasses. From the time we walked in we felt like we were intruding. No greeting, no offers to help. I was confused because we didn't know how long the wait would be. We stood by the desk waiting but nobody seemed to care. In the end we had to leave after being there around 40 minutes without any help. There were only 2 other customers in the store and 3 employees so I have no idea what was going on. I asked them to save our info on the glasses we chose but after leaving we decided to go somewhere else. I think we would have spent around 1500 on our purchase. This store needs help. I purchased a pair of glasses on 05/29/21 and yes I know it's been a minute, however, the UV coating or anti glare coating is now chipping off. I stopped at the location to explain my situation and ask if anything could be done as this was just poor quality. I have glasses from 6 years ago still going strong . Raquel asked if I could bring the eyewear in for inspection. I went home and returned with the eyewear only to be told they were out of warranty. Poor quality should trump the 30 day warranty. I explained that I felt it was a a quality issue with the actual coating company and asked if I could contact them directly. I was told they don't give out that info. I will continue to pass around my bad experience (with a clear quality control issue) to friends, family, and social media). 12/17/19 If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible customer service. I took my son there for an exam and new glasses last year. His glasses recently broke. The arm came unattached from the screw in the hinge. I called to see if I can bring them in to be fixed and checked on the status of my warranty. Of course the warranty expired in November. She said bring them in and we'll take a look. They would not fix their faulty product. Over $130 and they barely lasted a year. From the vet beginning of making the appointment over the phone was awful. The front desk employees were awful, except for a lady named Rosemary. One of the front desk girls lashed out at Rosemary when Rosemary asked a simple question to her about the paperwork. She walked up to her, tore the paper out of her hand and yelled at her. It was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. The girl that did the beginning part of the eye exam had zero personality and acted as if she had never dealt with children before. The only reason I give it 2 stars is for the optometrists and Rosemary (which were very kind). We will be finding a different place to go to next year for their exam. read more

Do not go here! Terrible customer service. I've bought my son three pairs of glasses here. Once bought him Ray Bans they broke so they were sent off to be repaired so I bought him two extra pairs just in case they break again. They broke again I took them back in to be repaired the lady said she couldn't do anything because his prescription expired a month ago even though I've paid the extra money for the warranty. His two extra pairs of glasses fall apart all the time. You're charged a lot for cheap glasses. read more

Should have listened to the reviews. I was referred by my PCP, even got a referral due to my insurance. Was told part of the exam would be covered but when I checked in was told that was not the case because headaches are not "medical" (that's interesting). Waited 35 minutes only to be told the doctor was running behind and it would be another 20 mins at least. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AND GO ELSE WHERE! read more

No respect for time. I arrived fifteen minutes early for my daughter's appointment, after filling out an excessive number of forms, we were not even called back until a half hour after her appointment time. And the only other customer in the building left right right when we arrived. So they were not servicing other customers as a cause for the delay. It took far too long. read more

I'm not sure about every location but the Lake Pleasant pkwy/ happy valley location has a horrible staff. The Optometrist was great, but the staff at the desk is not pleasant to deal with at all. I schedule an appointment for a Saturday and leading up to the appointment I received a couple reminder text which is fine ( a little excessive) but fine. Then, on the Saturday, day of the appointment I get a call around 7:00 a.m. (not needed) to remind me of my appointment and the receptionist seemed bothered that I was perturbed that she had called me. Since my appointment, which has been over a month ago my order still has not arrived. I should have received my order approximately 2 weeks after my visit and had not received them so I called the office and asked about my order and the receptionist asked me if i had not received them yet. (why would I call asking where they are if I had) I told her no and she asked to put me on hold (i obliged) now I am waiting on hold for about 6-7 minutes and she comes back on and ask if she can call me back. (so I again oblige the request). Another week and a half goes by and still did not get a call back. Finally, I call again and ask about my order and get put on hold again, (another 6-7 minutes), the receptionist comes back on and said (the lab messed up) and that they needed to resubmit the order (a week ago and still was never called to be informed) I feel pretty secure in my statement that the front desk staff never submitted the order. I gave the a 2 star rating because the Optometrist was very pleasant to deal with. Other than that they deserve no stars and no customers. read more

Had a great experience. The doctor was super kind and friendly during my exam. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is because they were pretty late to call me back and took a really really long time managing my checkout and paperwork. Not sure why other reviews say the staff was rude, they were all very nice and even joked around with some of the customers. Super friendly! read more

Went back to Nationwide after a couple of visits at a private opthamologist and was very pleased. The staff was super helpful and friendly, and I didn't feel like it was because they were trying to make a sale. Saw three different docs in three weeks because I'm new to contact lenses and they wanted to make sure I had a solid week to try each before purchasing. One of the docs started out a little gruff, but all took their time with me to make sure I got the best result. Much appreciated! Staff was also very patient in teaching me how to put contacts in and also sent me home with color samples to try before buying. Would definitely recommend this office to others! read more

They do not follow through with what employees say. They lost all of my sons' information for the order of their glasses and they do not stand behind their frames!!! The front desk ladies are always so rude when I come in, one treated me and my mother as if we were dumb. Very frustrating. There used to be an older lady who worked there named Rose, an absolutely fantastic sweet lady. The doctor is very sweet as well, the lady who calls you in to do your eye exam is also very sweet. The front desk ladies are nasty with attitude though. I'll keep coming here but those front desk ladies are awful, I can't stand them. read more

Literally the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Brought in a prescription for my daughter's first pair of glasses. The lady helping us was extremely rude, and was angry that I asked for an estimate so I could talk it over with my husband before purchase. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! When I went in for my eye exam in May 2020, I waited over an hour after my appointment time to be seen. I let that go and I ordered glasses but the quality of the glasses were similar to glasses you would get at the dollar store. I returned the glasses and they assured me they would refund my insurance so I could get glasses somewhere else. This was in July 2020. I called 2 weeks later and they assured me that the reversal was sent. It is now September and they still have not reversed their claim with my insurance. Nationwide Vision on Lake Pleasant waisted my valuable time by not informing me my insurance would not be covered through this office even tho my insurance sent me directly to them. Nationwide Vision did not bother to call me before hand that I would not be covered through their office. They waited until I arrived at the appointment to tell me I would have to pay out of pocket and they would not take my insurance. They were dismissive, rude and unprofessionaI. Very disappointed in the helpfulness of the Doctor and staff. I was wearing a trial pair of contacts and one disappeared. I went in to have some one see if it was still in my eye somewhere and was told it would have to be billed to my medical insurance. You would think an issue with a trial pair I paid $50 for would include an issue. Greed over care for a customer. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My daughter and husband walked in to purchase 4 pairs of glasses. They were immediately told by two bored women that they were closing soon and the women just sat looking annoyed. I later walked in after a Starbucks visit to look for glasses for myself and I was told, "uh..were closing in 10 minutes" and made me feel not welcomed/uncomfortable only caring to close shop. Little did they know we were all together so the rudeness seems to be what this place is about. So we took our business to Target Optical and purchased 6 pairs of glasses which took less than an 30 minutes. read more

This location could use a refresher course on customer service and doing their job in a timely manner. I scheduled my initial appointment 10 days in advance and took the day off to bring my kids in. The day prior I get a phone call that my insurance company is having a computer problem, so they couldn't get preauthorization. Why they waited until the afternoon before my appointment is puzzling. Every time I called to try and change the appointment the woman on the phone (Jordan) was extremely short and snotty and didn't seem to care to help get a new appointment time. I have plenty of choices for my children's eye doctor, and this place will not be one of them. read more
