I've heard rave reviews but just hadn't had the time to make my way to Addison side of Dallas. I will absolutely say Native lives up to the hype. All the plants & ample seating set the tone for a great experience as well. They do indeed use ceremonial grade matcha and it's good quality! That green color?! Wow. The taste? Yes. Dallas has a great coffeeshop scene, and it's a given that Native has a good latte (which it does). I think this establishment's strong suit is the ambience - it's sunny, plant-filled, and all-around cheerful. There's a decent amount of seating, but the shop is so popular on a Saturday late morning that you might struggle to find a seat. The space is also attached to a church, so there are lots of people coming and going on their way to/from the church's events. I spent 1-2hrs studying here and it was a great place to pass the time and still get some sun. read more

When pulling up to the shop I found that their parking lot was decently sized with no problem finding a spot. Although, theres no big sign outside so it did take us a second to find the entrance. Within the shop theres an arrangement of seating options that are spaced out so it felt roomy to get work done or chat with company. Despite it being steadily busy we had no problem finding a seat. The inner ambience was well balanced due to their decor and light music that created a welcoming space. My sister who tagged along with me said that the shop had "Urban Outfitters" vibes in which I definitely agreed. I had minimal interaction with the staff but the interaction I did have was friendly. The bathrooms were multi-stalled and clean. I liked that they had lotion next to the washing station since my hands often get dry from washing and sanitizing so that was nice. Drinks - The Man From HANOI: the cantaloupe infused foam with seasalt at the top melted pretty fast so I recommend drinking it quickly if you want to enjoy the flavors and textures together. This americano had a bright bitterness that paired well with the underlying fruityness. The infused flavors are very light and I found some sips were more fragrant than others. It was a very creative and refreshing drink, but not worth the $8.12 (after tax) in my opinion. - Blonde Cappucino: For the blonde cappuccino that my sister got she saif it was "ok." I tried some in which I agreed. A big contribution of my feelings on this was the price. It was $9.20 (after tax) for her drink after adding milk. Overall nice place but not the nicest prices so it wasn't worth it in my opinion. Although if cost is not a factor for you then I have no other drawbacks. read more

Asked what the barista recommended and the Marigold DID NOT DISAPPOINT. This is the most complex tasting matcha I've ever had but in the best way. It had some citrusy and floral notes but it wasn't overpowering and the perfect amount of sweetness. Came here to get some work done; the place was full of people with the same idea. I wish this coffee shop was local to me! It is so spacious, open, bright, and beautiful. I had to find somewhere to work from closer to Dallas for the day, and spent a good chunk of time here. I had their Sunstone Tea - iced - and it was delicious. The employees were sweet and in good spirits. There is ample seating with choices between high-tops, tables, and more of a lounging option. They do seem to get busy though, so be mindful. I would love to come back and try their coffee. read more

What a hidden gem! This is one of those places where if you know it's there, you know it's great. If you don't, you may have a little trouble finding it! The vibes in the coffee shop were great, very open, lots of places to work from, and tons of great lighting and plants. The coffee itself was phenomenal. They even had some specialty coffees that were quite unique, like the 3 in the picture attached. One was a fruity pebbles coffee, the other was a Cocoa Puffs coffee. Delicious! read more

I really liked the aesthetics in here which made for a nice vibe. We tried the Cascara pour over. It was very different from most coffees I've tried before and had almost a tea-like quality to it. My go-to drinks at all coffee shops are oat milk lattes, so I also ordered one of those for the road. The espresso had a nice flavor to it, so I enjoyed it. It might have been because it was a Saturday afternoon, but it was pretty busy in there and most seating was taken up. So it might not be the most reliable coffee shop if you're looking for a place with guarantee space to sit for a while (at least on the weekends that is). read more

It was difficult to find a seat as people never seemed to leave their seats. Our first order was the Cascara pour over, which tastes like cherry coffee tea. Despite the fact that it contains very little caffeine, this drink is incredibly refreshing (almost similar to a tea). Definitely a weird vibe when walking in. Had workers just stare at me looking at the menu. I took the initiative to greet and asked how they were doing. Ordered the almond croissant and a vanilla latte. Turns out that the croissant couldn't be warmed up. Really wanted to ask for my money back but I didn't. The place is nice and clean. I found this coffee shop a little tough to find. Driving to the stated address led me to an empty storefront in a repurposed office park. Fortunately, I persevered and after making a loop round the building found Native Coffee hidden behind a church (also in the office park) I'm so glad I did! This is a wonderful coffee shop space, featuring all of my favorite things: high ceilings, exposed brick, lots of houseplants, clean and elegant, plenty of seating indoors and out. They feature non-alcoholic coffee drinks crafted as if they are cocktails along with an attractive menu of iced fruit and coffee concoctions. One of the best coffee shops in Dallas! You can tell that this spot is very intentional with creating exciting products, fun marketing, an artistic atmosphere, and a welcoming space. I told the operators this was my 1st visit to NC. I would let them know if I felt like returning. They welcomed my comment. Met and old friend there. The place was humming with regulars at 3:00 pm. Great experience all around. They did nothing special. All sincere and normal attendance to me. Upon leaving they asked me if I'd be back. YES from both my friend and myself. I stopped in the other day for a coffee and pastry. After reading the reviews, I was expecting to have a much better experience than I did. There is a church next door that was doing sound testing and it was awfully loud and full of bass in there. Not sure if this is how it sounds when church is actually occurring, but it was so loud the bass was shaking the tables and chairs. Obviously this is not Native's fault, but it definitely negatively impacted my experience. The latte I got was hot and freshly made. Beautifully decorated foam. It was slightly bitter and tasted like the temperature may have been a little too hot and slightly over-roasted the beans, but I didn't mind it so much. The pastry was dry but the filling tasted delicious. I was a bit disappointed to hear they don't have any way to heat up the pastries. The interior is decorated beautifully and the restrooms were clean. The barstools were a little uncomfortable after a bit, but not terribly. I didn't stay long because of the awful bass blasting next door. I believe I may have had a uniquely poor experience here since the other reviews are positive. I'll update this review when I try them again a different day. read more
