Peanut noodles with tofu were so delicious and flavorful for a very reasonable price! The woman working at the register was super helpful and let me try some of the peanut sauce to make sure I liked it before I ordered it. We went right before they closed so we took it to go but it was still hot and delicious. Jammy egg and tofu was incredible.

Amazing noodle spot! I tried the Garlic noodles and the Laksa noodles- both are incredible! I think I preferred the Laksa noodles-- so flavorful with a wonderful umami-coconut flavor! Wontons were solid, I wish they weren't fried... still tasty though. Garlic noodles were very yummy too! I would highly recommend!

Excellent noodles and a great value. We ate lunch here the other day and really enjoyed the Laksa and Garlic noodles. The lunch specials at $12 and change are a great value. You get a big heaping bowl of noodles and your choice of protein. The bowls are full of flavor and super tasty. Service was friendly and fast.

Delicious laksa noodles in a cozy restaurant with prompt service. They seem to do lots of pickup / door dash orders as well.

Fast friendly service Had the popcorn chicken great texture and crunch could use more sauce and a little more heat. Over all great. Potato patties were great flavor and unique crispy outside soft mashed inside. Garlic noodles and pork awesome flavor and tender Great find

I came here for lunch and it was quite delicious, I ordered the Lunch special and ate there. I went with my friend and she ordered something different. My Laksa Noodle Soup was delicious; the flavor was so good and texture of the soup broth was smooth. The noodles were well cooked; which is difficult something because usually ins out they are over cooked. The service was great, the food was hot and well prepared. They handled the different orders coming in with ease and efficiently. The place is simple some tables and chairs. I am looking forward to going back to try other places.

Amazing Singaporean noodle spot w good lunch specials! My favorite dishes here are their dry laksa noodles (savory curry and thick rice noodles), garlic noodles (buttery and garlicky perfection), and their chili crab pasta (unique flavors w/ a generous amount of crab). Can be a bit pricey compared to other spots in the area, but I think it's well worth based off the quality! Also their lunch specials are basically the same size portion and include a side dish (shumai or egg roll).

Pros: affordable, dense food that will keep you full. Initially it looks like a small portion, but idk HOW but I always feel so full after I have a bowl of noodles from here. Some of my friends sometimes can't finish their bowl of noodles in one sitting. Cons: not a super nice sit down restaurant, could have been better ventilated. The front of the restaurant looks quite messy but understandable for a family owned business. Not the nicest dining experience, but my general feeling was good since I enjoyed the company of the people I dined there with. Pretty good food for the area and I will probably be back at some point!

This is a Singaporian hole in the wall spot in Washington Heights near Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. I came here hungry after visiting my mom in the hospital. They have a limited menu. I tried their dry laksa noodles with pork and also their pork and shrimp wontons. I liked the wontons had a crispy skin. The filling needed more flavor and I am glad it came with a sweet chili sauce. The sauce on the laksa noodles was excellent, I loved the lemon grass and coconut flavor. The pork was flavorful and cooked well. However, the noodles were overcooked and soggy and the egg were overcooked as well making them rubbery with a brittle skin. There is no bathroom and limited seating. It seems like more of a takeout spot.

I have traveled to Singapore & I must tell you that Singaporean foods are super rare in NYC (especially authentic ones). Besides the Singaporean foods sold at Urban Hawker (located near times square), the food sold here were very delicious & legit. This place is really a hidden gem! We ordered to share: 1) lasksa noodle soup version, 2) honey roasted pork w/ rice, 3) roti john sandwich, 4) popcorn chicken, 5) chili crab buns, 6) fluffy waffle w/ coconut jam. Even though we ordered take out, the foods were delicious. I think if we would have eaten at the store, it would be even more amazing! Laksa noodle (soup version) w/ shrimp - sooooo daaamn amaazing!! I highly highly recommend this item! This laksa was legit & that broth was so amazing! It was savory, coconutty, a bit spicy, limey. It was a party in my mouth. The noodles were so tender and slurpy. Shrimp was al dente & is best w/ laksa. My husband who has never tried laksa, was amazed how delicious it was & he loved it! This item was my most favorite out of all the things I have eaten here. Honey Roasted Pork w/ Rice - This item was delicious but not as outstanding at that laksa item. The pork was delicious & tender. Roti John Sandwich - The roti was delicious, but tasted even better w/ the spicy ketchup. Sandwich was a bit on the soggy side (probably because this was not eaten right away & was ordered take out) Popcorn chicken - The popcorn chicken was delicious and tender. I think I should had airfried it to make it more crunchy Chili crab buns (comes w/ 4 mini buns) - The bun was soft & crunchy on the side + when dipped w/ the chili crab sauce, it was heaven! That chili crab dip was delicious! Fluffy Waffle w/ Coconut (Kaya) Jam - It was delicious but a bit on the soft soggy side (probably b/c it was not eaten right away & was ordered take out). I also should had airfried it to make it more crunchier. The taste of the waffle was delicious & that kaya jam was heavenly! Kaya jam is always the best! If I come back, I would get that laksa noodle soup version again, chili crab buns, fluffy waffle w/ kaya jam + try their teh (tea), and try their other noodles.

Popped into this little gem while around the hospital area. I was craving noodles but after reading the stewed cabbage dish I opted for that. My meal didn't have an overpowering sweetness but the coconut sweetness is present. I loved the cabbage and chicken. My mum came along and got the silver needle noodles which she called "little worms" ^_^. That dish was so flavorful and the noodle had a perfect chew to them. We got some tea with milk, crab buns and mango pudding to go. Although I didn't taste the dessert or crab yet I'm sure they'll be superb. I do wish the tea was stronger, but it did give me a much needed boost of energy. It may very well have been due to the sweetness of it. Overall this is worth a trek. Also they do server everything in to go setting. This is a pro and con but gotta admit it's super convenient if you eat like me. I love to take my foods home and pig out :p

I rarely went home invoking a strong enthusiastic response to come back to eat something again. Their strong suite was location, space, and variety. What I loved most--besides having a reliable bathroom in Midtown--was what it became for the people around it. It was a place where office workers could decompress after work, grab a beer with coworkers, or catch up with friends they hadn't seen in a while. There was something refreshing about the atmosphere. People seemed relaxed and unguarded, shedding the polished professional persona they'd worn all day. It felt like watching the city exhale for a little while. And another thing I appreciated was their attempt to represent different nationalities under one roof. The more common items performed the worse and that's probably when you come to a space dedicated to hawker style cuisine, you expect to try some of their more novel stuff like Coffee Pork Fried Rice (from a stall that specialized in fried rice) or Noodles in Bechamel. I also frequently enjoyed their only drinks provider for the best Yuen Yang I've ever had. The method for making them seems theatrical at first but when you've had one that wasn't properly aerated, you truly taste the chalky bitter tannins. It was a good thing there was an experience worker there (possibly the owner). Who you got to make your drink was hit or miss because at varying times, my gf would be lucky enough to run into the one guy who could do it with oatmilk (she's lactose intolerant). It's sad to see this place go and there'll be many times ahead of us where we point out that that's where the Urban Hawker used to be.

This stall makes their own chili sambal and it's sooo shrimpy, punchy and complex. It added a lot to the dish, with the curry chicken + slight hint of coconut flavors and the meaty paste on top of the rice. everything works pretty well together here - just the egg was a bit overcooked and the chicken was also just slight overdone. I would go to this stall again! Nice find- I like it a lot!
