I had an unfortunate experience last night. I went to this establishment with my mother. Her ramen was a bit spicy, so she started coughing . I asked the young waitress for water for my mom. Instead of bringing water, she proceeded to take the table behind us' order. Meanwhile, my mother was having a coughing attack. My mother asked the waitress for water again, and the waitress replied, "WAIT." Not very nice for a potentially bad situation.

Good place to get decent ramen nearby. Also had a good happy hour. Did not like the octopus appetizer personally. Enjoyed the shrimp tempura in my ramen. A touch on the saltier side. The ambiance was nice and the service was good. A bit cheaper if you pay cash.

Came in here for a quick lunch and was seated pretty quickly at the bar. Me and my coworker each got a miso ramen and the ordering and arrival of the food all took less than 10 minutes. The broth was rich and salty, noodles were al dente, and the pork belly was tender and flavorful. I was so surprised at the quality of food and the quick service. I'll definitely be back and try other things on the menu!

A much needed eatery near the hospitals complexes of Washington Heights. Good, fast service and decent portions for the food, which was tasty. It's not the most glam or authentic Japanese place in NYC, but for the food desert that's that area, it's better than it needs to be!

I came here on a random Thursday and ordered the gyoza and beef ramen to go. It took about 20 mins to prepare but no worries at all, that just means everything is made fresh. The gyoza were delicious, an order comes with 6 and a sauce on the side. The beef ramen was beyond tasty. The broth is soooo flavorful, I had to drink every last drop. I think this place is a bit pricey tho, this meal came to $30. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's a bit steep for noodles.

Yummy ramen when you are craving a good soup. My co workers rave good things about this spot so I had to try. You get such a good amount of ramen and soup it's insanely good. It is filling tasty and just everything you need in a ramen and especially on a cold day. I came here on a day I was under the weather and feeling sick and this completely revived me. Everyone here is nice and a good amount of seating is available. Decided to dine in instead of take out but even the take out you get a large portion to fill you up well. The chicken gyoza was also very tasting everything just exceeded my expectations and so happy to have this spot in front of my job

It's the second time we went to this ramen place and we were not disappointed. The service is good and fast. The ramen are delicious, not overpriced and the right quantity. I ordered the Kojiro miso spicy ramen and some karaage on the side to share with my husband. It was delicious ! The drinks are good, they have a happy hour price on the Sapporo draft Beer until 7pm. I totally recommend it for an affordable and good ramen

Musashi Miso Spicy Ramen & Salmon Ramen

The Musashi miso spicy was good. The amount of pork, scallions, mushroom and noodles they give you in a bowl is very generous. As for the salmon ramen, I think this is the best thing we got. We've never had salmon in ramen so this was a must try for us. The broth was perfect and the cook of salmon mirrored it. Would definitely come again.

I've ordered both take out and dine in. Both were very good tasting. I love the balance the broth has. I do wish it was a bigger portion though.

Stopped by this ramen spot with 2 friends and my daughter yesterday for dinner. My daughter got two orders of the spicy pork gyoza and she loved them. I ordered the miso base chicken ramen and was not a fan at all. The chicken was bland, the noodles were too AL dente for my liking and the broth was also not it for me. My stomach immediately started bubbling and the next morning my daughter was also on the toilet from the food. Our friend also wasn't feeling the soup and said it wasnt anywhere on the spicy side. My other friend did enjoy the food though. *spicy pork soybased broth ramen* Also, I'd say prices are a little bit on the high side. Unfortunately won't be returning.

This is a very solid ramen shop. Its very hard not to go wrong with ramen, and this place definitely did not go wrong. My order of the spicy Tokyo ramen was tasty and savory, and definitely resolved my ramen cravings. The service was nice, and we were able to get seated quickly during peak hours. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to understand our host, and they actually messed up one of our orders. It took a little but of time till the food came out, and since I was starving at the time, this definitely did not help. They ended up re-preparing the dish that was mis-ordered, and it all eventually worked itself out, which was very nice of them. The ramen was good proportions. It fill me up fully, so it was definitely worth the price. It was not the best ramen I have had, but not the worst. The broth was not as spicy as I was expecting it to be, and the pork was tender, soft, and chewy. The egg was not as runny as I would prefer (boiled it too long maybe?), but it all still tasted delightful (maybe a bit too salty). A very solid experience, nothing spectacular.

Good ramen and great variety of items on their menu. Just know that the portion sizes are pretty small and you still have to pay as if it is a full portion because it's Manhattan. Still, the food here is excellent and service is good. I've been here twice now and it was good both times. I know lots of healthcare workers at Columbia come here to eat, especially since it's directly across from the children's and adult hospitals. Lots of Columbia medical and graduate students, such as myself, come here as well :) I'm grateful that this place exists when I want a warm bowl of ramen and I don't want to travel far.

I ordered their special ramen. Unfortunately I don't think the flavor is that good considering how many great ramen restaurants in Manhattan. The broth is a little underwhelming and salty. And I wish they could add more veggies. The entire dining area smells like ramen broth and I would suggest them to add some fans to clear the air a little bit. The staffs are nice

We started with the pork belly appetizer which was recommended and stated on the menu indicating it's their featured dish. It was the biggest disappointment as it was extremely fatty with large chunks of fat, while the lean portions were dry. It didn't look very appetizing. The dumplings were just okay--they had decent flavor but I was hoping for a crispier texture. I ordered the Zebra Ramen. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, but the broth was much saltier than I would have preferred. The pat of butter felt unnecessary and made the broth overly rich without adding much depth. The chashu was on the small side and also quite fatty and I assume it's the same as the appetizer but was sliced instead of in large chunks. The marinated egg had good flavor, although the yolk was a little more cooked than I typically like. Another thing is the pork belly appetizer came with an egg. I wish the server would tell us so we didn't have to add it to our ramen with an extra charge. The nori was also completely soggy by the time it reached our table. Overall, the noodles were the only highlight of the meal and the rest were very underwhelming. It's definitely not a place I would recommend.

I was NOT a fan of their mushroom friend rice. It was a plain white rice with sauteed mushrooms and corn. That's it. I expected a bit more and fresh ingredients especially for the price. I thought the rice would be at least been fried? I asked for some soy sauce and spice just to add a bit more flavor to it. However, our service was great and I cannot say enough kind words to the staff. The rest of our company enjoyed their food. My partner ordered a ramen which he enjoyed and wished there was more ramen options available for being a ramen (advertised) restaurant. Overall it was a good experience to try!

No complaints, except that I guess I prefer Tonkostu (pork bone) over Paitan (chicken bone). I appreciated sitting at the bar to watch the lone ramen monger stir around the next batches of broth, hand-torching some chashu; boiling, whip-drying, and gently nestling my noodles, then manually laying out the toppings. This spot delivers the kind of authentic paitan that reminds you why people used to line up on cold sidewalks just for a bowl. I ordered the Paitan Ramen Deluxe, and it genuinely lives up to the name. The broth is silky, rich, and comforting without being overly salty which is exactly what a proper paitan should be. The bowl comes loaded: tender shredded chicken, seared chashu, marinated soft-boiled eggs, fresh scallions, bamboo shoots, and a sheet of nori that ties everything together. Every topping tastes intentional, not just filler. The texture balance is what really stands out fatty chashu that melts, shredded chicken with real flavor, and noodles that hold up beautifully in the broth. You can taste the care in the soup base; it has depth, not just heat or salt. If you loved Totto Ramen back in the day, this feels like its modern successor same spirit, new precision. Toribro isn't trying to reinvent ramen which they're just doing it right. And in NYC, that alone makes it worth a visit.
