Hmmm, so much to say about this place. The location is on Greenville in the old Carte Blanche space…read moreacross from Trader Joe's. They offer complimentary valet parking which is a big plus since parking in this area is hectic. The service was friendly the timing of the food was good. The food itself could use some improvement. I ordered the salmon and crab cake appetizer. The crab cake appetizer was mushy and tasted like canned crab this was disappointing. The salmon was plated with lentils and a vegetable. However, it lacked flavored and consistent temperature through out the salmon. One friend had the Mac and cheese which needed salt and pepper, meat balls which were okay and the flat bread which was decent. Then there was my friend that had the branzino which I had a small bite - it was okay. Then she ordered the octopus and it was chewy all tried it. So why the 2 rating. We all felt unwell after we left the place. The effect was felt within the first hour of leaving through the night. Something was off in the meal. We imagine it was the octopus. It could have been an off night but I will likely not return.

I also like that valet was complimentary since finding parking in lower greenville can be a nightmare. As for the food, we generally found it underwhelming. I personally ordered the octopus and branzino. The octopus was described as a dish that melts in your mouth-- it did not. It was chewy (but had a good sauce) and it was the one dish that all 3 of us ate, and all 3 of us had stomach issues. The branzino was fine but wasn't exactly spectacular. It cane with an option of two sauces. I chose the caper and chardonnay mushroom. I found this particular aspect unique and the sauces did taste good. The branzino also came with broccolini which tasted good but was cold. As for my companions dishes. I did not try them but I understood the lobster mac and cheese was underseasoned, the Crab cake was mainly breading and tasted like canned Crab, the pepperoni on the flatbread was off, and the salmon did not taste good. No comments, positive or negative, were made for the meatballs. All in all, I likely would not try this establishment again.

You can also valet your car if you'd rather not park in the garage. To enter the restaurant you'll walk into the office building and then locate the ocean prime entrance. The vibe inside the restaurant was giving a high end l, upscale and sophisticated feeling. To start I ordered the Berries & Bubbles (Belvedere Organic Lemon & Basil Vodka, Marinated Blackberries, Fresh Lemon Juice, Piper Sonoma Brut, Dry Ice Smoke) which was excellent and the server brought fresh bread to the table. I also ordered a cup of the lobster bisque (with butter poached lobster) which was so good, rich, and creamy. We also split a spicy tuna roll (Avocado, Scallion, Jalapeño, Shiso) which was not too spicy and was excellent as an appetizer. For my main entree I ordered the 10 oz filet Oscar style. The filet cut like butter and was excellent. For my second drink I ordered the bourbon old fashioned (four roses small batch bourbon, Aperol, simple syrup, bitters) which was so smooth and probably my favorite drink of the evening. Lastly, I had to order a slice of the ten layer carrot cake (Layered with cream cheese icing and pineapple syrup) as I usually don't find carrot cake on menus and it's one of my favorite desserts. This cake was so well made and i finished the whole slice as it was so good. This is one of the best steakhouses in Dallas. I definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the dfw area.

Everything after that went downhill fast. The crab cakes were giving Saltgrass on an off night..heavy on filler, light on crab, and completely forgettable. Then came the entrées. The Chilean sea bass looked like a showstopper; perfect sear, beautiful presentation--and tasted like absolutely nothing. Not under-seasoned... unseasoned. The potato purée somehow managed to be both watery and bland, which feels like a choice. The scallops? Same story. Technically flawless sear, zero flavor. It's almost impressive how consistently everything coming off the fish station looked perfect and tasted like air. The pea risotto was aggressively one-note--just peas, no balance, no depth, none of that creamy, cohesive richness risotto is supposed to have. For $375 with tip, this wasn't just disappointing, it was offensive. The whole meal read less "elevated dining" and more "retirement home with a plating budget." I'll take Saltgrass next time..and that's not a compliment.

A great spot for some fresh seafood in Plano!…read more There is not many good seafood restaurants in DFW however this is one must try. They have a great happy hour with awesome staff here at the bar area, which is open seating. The cocktails are excellent, and what I would want when paying a higher dollar for drinks. Oysters (baked) are just so good and half off during the happy hour as well. Most entrees we have tried here have satisfied. Completely recommend this restaurant to people who are looking to have seafood. & its all even better during their discounted happy hour.

I've had only 2 food issues over the years. On one occasion, I sent back a poor-quality prime rib. On another, my lobster was overcooked and had to be replaced. Both were legitimate quality concerns that any restaurant of this caliber should address. During this visit, I ordered the crab flight, which was advertised as including three different types of crab at 1/2 pound each. One of the crab selections was clearly not a 1/2-pound portion. After waiting approximately 15 minutes and requesting to speak with the manager three separate times, Ali finally came to the table. Instead of listening to my concern or attempting to resolve the issue, he immediately became dismissive and told me there was nothing they could do. His justification was that "they have tried to help me in the past," apparently referring to previous occasions when the restaurant corrected legitimate mistakes with my meals. He offered no solution, no effort to verify the portion, and no interest in retaining a loyal customer. The interaction was abrupt, rude, and unprofessional. I felt singled out and targeted simply for bringing a valid concern to management's attention. What was most disappointing wasn't the portion issue itself--it was the complete lack of customer service and respect from a manager at a restaurant that positions itself as a fine dining establishment. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I can no longer recommend this location.

What I appreciated most was that he listened and acknowledged my concerns without trying to explain them away. As a customer, I felt heard and valued. Adam invited me back for the next Ramen Night, and this time I brought friends. We were seated in a booth and ordered the featured ramen, which happened to be a gumbo ramen. It wasn't quite my taste--there was a lot going on flavor-wise--but the service experience was completely different. The restaurant felt much less hectic, and the hospitality really stood out. Eric walked us through the menu, made excellent drink recommendations, and made sure our waters never went empty. We also had the ube dessert, which was unexpectedly delicious. Everyone at the table was scraping the plate clean. A special shoutout to Stephanie at the host stand, who also made sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. Another noticeable improvement: the kitchen packed our leftovers for us instead of having guests juggle large bowls of broth at the table. Overall, this was the elevated dining experience and level of care I expect from a restaurant of this caliber. I'm looking forward to seeing who the guest chef is and what ramen creation they'll feature next month!

However, the past two times we shared this place with another couple who loves sushi just as much as my husband and I do. One reason we kept coming back, aside from all the delicious food, was how they labeled their menu with the top food allergens. As a food allergy mom, I appreciated this so much! Especially when I was still breastfeeding, I had to eliminate all of my daughter's allergies to breastfeed safely. The main ones I had to look out for was gluten, dairy, egg, nuts, and sesame seeds. The safe was aware of my limitations and shared empathy, not annoyance like other places. T Thankfully I'm out of that stage so I can eat anything on the menu now. We would like to take our daughter here some day, she loves sushi a lot! But being only 5 years old, we'll need to save it for a special occasion. We get carried away when we come here. The food here is top notch and worth every penny, so we'll have to save up. Cooked dishes we always order: Brussel sprouts, steamed mushrooms, hamachi collar and miso cod. All the nigiri/sushi is fresh and you can't ignore the specials or seasonal menu!

Having lived in Hawaii, we ate sushi, sashimi, and poke on a regular basis. Finding spots like this allows us to create new memories while also feeling a bit nostalgic for the flavors we love. We might have gone a little overboard, but everything was incredible! We ordered the Crunchy Eel Roll, Hamachi Nigiri, and Tuna Nigiri, along with two of the EBESU Course menus. My husband had the Chirashi Don and I went with the Toro Tekka Don. Love, love, love. As you can see, it was a lot of food, but every single piece was cooked and cut to perfection. The dishes are very easy to share, and I think next time we'll lean into that more so we can sample even more of the menu. If you are looking for authentic, high-quality Japanese food, this is the place to go!
