Happy hour at the bar was amazing! The appetizers were delicious, and the drinks were absolutely eye-catching. We loved the atmosphere, and Dominique provided excellent service that made our experience even better. Highly recommended!

Our favorite when in uptown. HH prices with great service and cocktails. During HH 1/2 price appetizers. We had deviled eggs with caviar, sushi, and the yummy fried tater tots. Food a side great service glasses always filled with water or wine. And food yummy

I went to an event at Ocean Prime and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I ordered a drink because why not? The waiter recommended the black orchid and the recommendation was on point. The food was outstanding. The appetizers were family style. The only thing that wasn't a hit was the ravioli stuffed with goat cheese. No one at my table really cared for that. Everything else was great. And of course, the entrées were really good. We all took our desserts to go. Oh, I will say that the salad was starting to brown which was very unexpected for Ocean Prime. The wait staff was very attentive and the presentation was informative. Everyone was in agreement that a nice time was had.

Hot & Dirty Martini: olive oil infused Belvedere vodka, Calabrian chili blue cheese stuffed olives $19 - 1/2 off during HH daily 4-6p.

Five stars all the way! I haven't been here in a few years, and am so so thrilled that my friend recommended their Happy Hour after our 4-mile walk. Here is the scoop...one of the ONLY places in uptown to offer HH 7 days a week, 4-6p. We each stated with a martini (1/2 off during HH), then we each had a glass of their Malbec (also 1/2 off during HH). They offer a wonderful selection on their appies (again 1/2 off!) we split the wagyu burger, which arguably is THE BEST burger in all of Dallas! This spot is elegant, clean and very well maintained...looks brand new inside and the ladies room was sparkling. Now, the best part...the service. Seriously white glove treatment from our server, Dominique, to Andreas who kept our water and complimentary truffle popcorn filled and cleared our dishes, to Chef Jake...who is just to cool for school. THANK YOU to the entire team at Ocean Prime...we will be back!

Ocean Prime is always a great experience. Food was delicious, service wonderful, and the ambiance is always ambiancing...lol. Small quirk this time is that we visited for a very early dinner around 4:45 on Friday. It was essentially empty, just one other couple in the dining room beside us. Our server offered a halibut special which sounded so delicious, so my husband and I both ordered it. The server then returned to let us know they had "just sold the last halibut special". We understand this happens all the time, it just seemed super weird that they sold out of the special before dinner even started and the restaurant was essentially empty. Anyway, we selected the twin lobster tails and Chilean sea bass which were both delicious as well.

We opened with the ocean roll, crab cakes, and tequila old fashioneds. The ocean roll was the one bright spot; delicate, fresh, and actually seasoned. Everything after that went downhill fast. The crab cakes were giving Saltgrass on an off night..heavy on filler, light on crab, and completely forgettable. Then came the entrées. The Chilean sea bass looked like a showstopper; perfect sear, beautiful presentation--and tasted like absolutely nothing. Not under-seasoned... unseasoned. The potato purée somehow managed to be both watery and bland, which feels like a choice. The scallops? Same story. Technically flawless sear, zero flavor. It's almost impressive how consistently everything coming off the fish station looked perfect and tasted like air. The pea risotto was aggressively one-note--just peas, no balance, no depth, none of that creamy, cohesive richness risotto is supposed to have. For $375 with tip, this wasn't just disappointing, it was offensive. The whole meal read less "elevated dining" and more "retirement home with a plating budget." I'll take Saltgrass next time..and that's not a compliment.

My husband and I LOVED this pick for our 3rd anniversary. We were greeted with champagne which was a nice touch and then the table had rose pedals all over it. Our service, food and the atmosphere was awesome. I love romantic dim lights. We also got a free dessert! Highly recommend! Also their sushi and mocktails are divine:)

This restaurant was on my list of fancy restaurants to checkout with my husband so I thought my birthday would be a excuse to finally give it a visit. We made a reservation for a Saturday night, we were greeted right away and didn't have to wait to be seated. We started with a couple of old fashioned cocktails, I had the one with tequila and my husband had the traditional one with bourbon. For appetizers, we ordered the Prime Steak Tartare and the Lobster Bisque, both were delicious in different ways but for me the Lobster Bisque won that round. For the main course, I had the Chilean Sea Bass with broccolini, pearl onions, potato puree, and truffle vinaigrette. My husband had the Lobster Linguine, he said that he really enjoyed the dish and was glad that it had plenty of lobster. The Chilean Sea Bass dish was very light and fresh. We love brussels sprouts so we ordered those too. Lastly, I decided to order the Chocolate Torte for my birthday dessert and unfortunately it was a mistake. The flavor of the dessert was to intense for me so my husband ended eating more than me. With all chocolate cakes it's a hit or miss for me, if the chocolate flavor wasn't so intense, I would had enjoyed it. I wish I wrote down our server's name, he was awesome, very attentive and answered all of our questions.

I hate when a place is hyped up and ends up being overpriced and underwhelming. We did not have that issue, because Ocean Prime delivered in every way possible. The restaurant was beautiful and had a nice, dark vibe. Perfect for dates, although we went as a group. The staff were kind and very helpful. The sea bass was one of the best fish I have ever had. It was flavorful, tender, an perfectly cooked!! I tried each entree(except the sushi) and every one of them were spectacular. Even the carrot cake was delicious!! This place is not cheap, but worth every penny! I can't wait to come back!

Impeccable! We decided to do a quick date night in a new place and we are so impressed with everything including the service! This amazing dinning experience has jumped to the top of our favorites in the Dallas area. The drinks were perfectly smooth, appetizers were yummy and the entrees with side were excellent. Check out the pictures for all the amazing food and drinks we tried!

Very enjoyable steakhouse with delicious food and spectacular service. Would definitely recommend for anybody wanting to have a wonderful night out or a romantic dinner.

We ended up going here to celebrate a friend's early birthday dinner. They offer valet parking out in the front. The host was friendly and welcoming when we walked in. It didn't take long to get our seats. It's dark and intimate. They did have the TV on by the bar, which was nice. Our server was nice. We got different things to eat, but I forgot to take pictures. But the drinks and the food were so delicious, especially the Brussels sprouts. Both the streak and the salmon were delicious

We came in near closing time, but Emilia provided us great service and stayed attentive even though they were clearly packed. We were seated at a table near the door, and unfortunately it had a vomit smell. Whatever it was, my friend could not stand it and had to get up and step away from the table. We first thought the culprit was the paper drink coasters, but then the staff removed the door mat near us later on, so maybe someone puked on it and the smell lingered, even after it was cleaned up. Clear Mizu ($16): This has Sakura vermouth and bitters, so we ordered it. It tasted like straight up gin and was not good. It was actually one of the rare times my husband could not finish his drink. Kyoto Sunset ($15): This one wasn't bad and tasted like honeydew. The ingredients include honeydew Calpico, so that makes sense. Johnny Walker Black ($16): This was our friend's drink, which I think was just coke and Johnny Walker. Nothing special about the taste either. Given the smell and so-so/terrible cocktails, we will not be coming back or taking our friends here.

At one point, our food was delivered while we were outside getting fresh air. The food was also disappointing. The scallops and chicken were extremely salty and lacked flavor, and the chicken was overcooked. When we brought it up, the server did little to address it. To top it off, we saw two large cockroaches around our table, which was especially noticeable in the dark dining room. The cocktails were the highlight, but overall, the service, food, pacing, and cleanliness did not meet expectations. One star. Very disappointing, and I'm not sure I'll be back.

The staff was very welcoming, and the other guests I encountered were friendly and sociable. The drinks were excellent. On my first visit, I had the Hugo Spritz, which was mixed to perfection. During my second visit, I tried the Bitter Lemon Soda, which was also very good--simple, refreshing, and without any overpowering flavors. I actually enjoyed The Bowen House so much that I went twice during my weekend trip to Dallas. It has an almost speakeasy-like atmosphere, with low lighting and a cozy, historic feel. It's also in a very walkable area, which made it easy to visit on foot. There is some parking available, although I would say it's somewhat limited. I don't think it would be the best spot for a very large group, but it would be perfect for a few friends getting together. I also appreciated that you can order a drink while waiting for a table or bar seating, which made the wait feel much more enjoyable. Overall, The Bowen House was one of my favorite places I visited while in Dallas. Between the atmosphere, welcoming service, and well-crafted drinks, it's definitely a place I would return to the next time I'm in town.

The hotel property is like four legs under the table - a great location, a great hotel experience, a great restaurant experience, and a entertainment experience (The Mansion Bar). At least one leg has been kicked out, one is suffering. The Mansion Bar used to have a great recipe for success - proven by how busy and regular the customers were and loyal (or was), and the top tier talent that was routine for 10+ years. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. I'm hoping whomever is making these decisions can revert back to what was working. Dallas has a lot of great venues that will fill this void.

(I rarely post Yelp reviews so that's how bad it was) I ordered the steak frites medium-well (thinking it would probably come out well-done, as most non-steakhouses tend to do). After a long wait for our food (the restaurant didn't look that busy, but maybe a lot of to-go orders?) I received the pictured steak: I'm pretty sure I can still hear it mooing. How anyone could look at this and think this is medium-well is beyond me. I tried taking a bite, but it was so raw it was inedible to eat - I would've been chewing for ages. I brought this up to my waiter, who said he would take it back and speak to the kitchen. My group needed to leave for another event (didn't anticipate waiting nearly an hour for our food) so we simultaneously asked for our checks. The kicker? My waiter did not follow up with me on how raw the steak was and did not comp my meal/provide any kind of remedy. I wasn't looking for a free meal, but the lack of follow-through to remedy the situation was the icing on the cake (or insert some kind of raw steak pun). My cocktail (which all arrived AFTER our meals were delivered) was pretty good, thus the 2 stars. But I question why/how my steak was so raw despite me waiting 45-55 minutes for it. Overall, only come here for drinks - so long as you're okay with waiting forever & a day for them.
