Hmmm, so much to say about this place. The location is on Greenville in the old Carte Blanche space across from Trader Joe's. They offer complimentary valet parking which is a big plus since parking in this area is hectic. The service was friendly the timing of the food was good. The food itself could use some improvement. I ordered the salmon and crab cake appetizer. The crab cake appetizer was mushy and tasted like canned crab this was disappointing. The salmon was plated with lentils and a vegetable. However, it lacked flavored and consistent temperature through out the salmon. One friend had the Mac and cheese which needed salt and pepper, meat balls which were okay and the flat bread which was decent. Then there was my friend that had the branzino which I had a small bite - it was okay. Then she ordered the octopus and it was chewy all tried it. So why the 2 rating. We all felt unwell after we left the place. The effect was felt within the first hour of leaving through the night. Something was off in the meal. We imagine it was the octopus. Came here one Friday evening with two girlfriends. The waitstaff was cordial and the atmosphere itself was nice. I also like that valet was complimentary since finding parking in lower greenville can be a nightmare. As for the food, we generally found it underwhelming. I personally ordered the octopus and branzino. The octopus was described as a dish that melts in your mouth-- it did not. It was chewy (but had a good sauce) and it was the one dish that all 3 of us ate, and all 3 of us had stomach issues. The branzino was fine but wasn't exactly spectacular. It cane with an option of two sauces. I chose the caper and chardonnay mushroom. I found this particular aspect unique and the sauces did taste good. The branzino also came with broccolini which tasted good but was cold. As for my companions dishes. I did not try them but I understood the lobster mac and cheese was underseasoned, the Crab cake was mainly breading and tasted like canned Crab, the pepperoni on the flatbread was off, and the salmon did not taste good. No comments, positive or negative, were made for the meatballs. All in all, I likely would not try this establishment again. read more

Very good seafood on lower Greenville. The oysters Rockefeller were delicious, and the rest of the meal was quite good but not exceptional. Our server was super friendly and knew the menu very well. He made a lot of great recommendations and was very attentive. They have a number of craft cocktails and make a good espresso martini. read more

We tried this place maybe a month after they opened and it was an extreme let down. It seemed like they were marketing to be more of a fine dining restaurant and the quality of the food and service did not match. The oysters and Cesar salad were fine. The steak tartare was terrible. Super creamy almost like mayo based. In terms of entrees.. my husband enjoyed his fish, but my filet was cold. I told our server about it and was honestly so tired I didn't want to wait for them to remake it. I ended up only eating a few bites and instead of offering to take the plate and comp the steak, the server gave us a free dessert which we didn't really want. Overrated and not worth the price point for the quality of the food/service. read more

Bummed to see the restaurant close after a few short months. The staff was incredibly nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The variety of seafood and the portions were amazing. Really awesome new steakhouse and seafood restaurant where Carte Blanche used to be. The renovated inside is a very nice addition with the bar area separated from the dining room. Great HH from 3-6 for drinks and apps. The octopus app is fantastic and the steaks are really good too. The fried oyster app takes the cake. It's amazing and a can't miss. Super friendly manager and staff. Prices are on par with the quality. Will certainly be back to try items we were drooling over. read more

Just walking down Greenville when we came across this gem and decided to roll the dice. We were so surprised. So many things on the menu sounded amazing, and the Ribeye and Saltimboca we had were both divine. Slightly older crowd with an elevated atmosphere. Chef is Italian and does not disappoint. Oh my gosh, what a great meal, bartender, and service! Went by Ocean Ranch after seeing great reviews to try it out after work on Friday. The restaurant had a really cute outdoor seated patio area, but I chose to sit inside at the bar, where Angela mixed up a couple of delicious cocktails from their menu--you have to try the Agua-Rita! The Hamachi carpaccio and the tuna tartare with crostini were delicious. We followed that with oysters Rockefeller, and crispy fried oysters which had a small side of arugula salad topped with crispy mushrooms! That was fabulous. Entrée was a beautiful display of tuna steak with a blood orange glaze and a side of risotto, and asparagus, which was cooked to perfection. The tuna was delicious! Needless to say, I had plenty of leftovers to bring home for breakfast, or lunch, the next day! LOL The overall experience was five stars. You must try. read more

We wanted to love this place based on the write up in the Lakewood Advocate Magazine...unfortunately, the food is just not good. The food presentation is lacking and not appetizing. The hamachi and mango salsa was the best tasting item we had (very low bar) but was cut too thick and should not be served over lettuce. The crab cakes and redfish were nearly inedible...they were ugly to the eye and just didn't taste good. Sorry, wish I had better things to say. read more

It's finally here! Came in on a Tuesday night, only about 6-8 people in the building. Was greeted right away. We sat at the bar had the small platter which was yummy and the smash burger and a side of fries, which was good. We definitely loved the bottom part of our platter more than the top. Smash burger was a good size to split between two people! I don't think there's a dessert menu, if there is we weren't offered. Ambience was quiet and chill. The only thing I wish was a tad bit better was the excitement of the new addition to the Lower Greenville community! Story behind your concept, where your seafood and shellfish are imported from, the cocktail layout, etc. etc! Will be going back to unravel those mysteries though! Thank you for having us! read more

Food is very OK. Place is definitely not bad by any means but the price point can be a bit much for what it is. Service was ok as well.

I had the Maine Lobster roll and it was delicious. It had a very generous amount go lobster tossed it a light mayo and served on a perfectly toasted bun. Additionally we had the crab cake and beetroot salad, both were delicious! Highly recommend this place!!! read more

To start we had some yummy drinks at the bar with wonderful service. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. We started with the oysters, tartare and the Cesar salad all were amazing. While the opening might have been delayed it was obvious they spent the time training their staff. Super knowledgeable of the menu and ready to make recommendations that didn't dissapoint, service was impeccable, the food was well above its price point and also offered something different from what's on the rest of Greenville. We will definitely be back and excited to hear they will be open for brunch and lunch coming soon. The new layout and ambiance of the space is so much better than the previous restaurant.
