Ordered pick up for 12:15 with an hour of lead time. Went to pick up at 12:20 and the hostess disappeared for 13 minutes. While she was hiding from me, as it was evident that they had to make the food on the fly, a couple came to be sat but left after 5 minutes as the stand suddenly became radioactive and no one even looked that way. We were quickly greeted upon entering and seated in the bar/lounge area. Our server was Mayra. We explained it was our first time at Native, so she explained the menu and the available sauces. We decided to share the green chile burger and boneless wings. I initially wanted the spicy honey mustard sauce on my wings, but Maura suggested I try the golden sauce and brought me out samples of both. She definitely made the right call, as I didn't care for the honey mustard sauce much, but loved the golden sauce. We sat at the bar and moved down a couple seats as they became available to watch the game on the big screen. The bartender removed the dirty dishes from the previous customers but didn't wipe down the bar. I asked her for the dish rag thinking she would go ahead and do it, but instead she handed it to me and let me do it! Get a clue will ya! I'll just leave it at that. I would have to agree with others that had posted that the service at the Surprise location is really bad. Went on a Saturday afternoon our party consisted of 5 adults and a child. The place was not really busy but the service was really bad as it took about 15 min to get drinks and it seemed liked once the waitress took our order it took another 25 min to get our food which we really didn't feel wasn't really impressed for the price that was charged. They are clean friendly and fast. I swung in here thanks to Yelp to see if they offered any gluten free options. Now their gluten free menu is more those who are avoiding gluten for reasons other than celiac disease or allergies. I did order a Southwest Chicken Salad that was totally safe for me. No tortillas, dressing or corn. I really enjoyed the salad. The cheese and tiny diced tomatoes that I love really made this salad as basic as I ordered it taste delicious. I ordered the lemon pepper rub wings she ordered the buffalo nachos. My wings were excellent. She liked her nachos and let me try one and I thought it was ok but not something I would order. Our server was very average. After she took our order we didn't see her until our food was ready. When she brought the food out she didn't remove the dirty salad plate that we placed on the edge of the table for her to remove so we could have more room to eat. She came by again and asked us how the food was, looked at the dirty salad plate and walked away. She never came back to ask us if we needed a refill on the teas which we did but she never came back. But as soon as I asked the hostess for the bill she came around that corner so fast and grabbed the money. Typical. But that's ok. The wings were great. Just wish management at most restaurants would concentrate more on having their servers focus on the customer. That's were the money is. Walked in and was greeted nice by the hostess' but man did the manager, Jackie I believe her name was had such an attitude with her team and was just constantly yelling at her employees. Really just did not like the setting/mood after that had happened and was just completely unprofessional especially in the front of the dining room. Our server coral was very polite and professional. I went back to Native and the wings were just as delicious as the first time. That's the bone in Honey Barbecue. After the first review, the Manager Robert sent me a message. I had mentioned the fries were forgotten so came out late. It wasn't a bad thing but he wanted to make it right. Being the detailed person I am, when we decided to go back and was on our way, I called to see if he was there. Lindsey answered the phone and was very polite. Haven't been to a Native Grill in years so today we decided to go for a family dinner out. Good location, plenty of parking and we were seated instantly. It was surprisingly pretty empty besides the bar area. They had some great deals on their menu so we opted for the Caesar Salad, pepperoni pizza, and hot wings. We also ordered zucchini as an appetizer along with our drinks. Our server was great, very attentive and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly our food came out. First the large Caesar salad was delicious and my family ate it up. The pizza looked awesome and tasted great, but my family enjoys a less doughy one. So while it was still good it was too soggy for us. The zucchini was nice but the sauce it comes with we were not a fan of so we opted for ranch. The wings were the worst for us. Way over sauced and clumpy not even really where you could kinda tap some of the sauce off. We bought 10 and ended up leaving about 7 on the table. 4.5 Stars! My mom has been at our house for a week, and surprisingly, we hadn't gone out to lunch yet during the time she has been here. I wanted to get out of the house today and try something new. Low carb options had to be in the mix, so we decided to come on down here to Native Grill & Wings. Some coworkers had mentioned it before and claimed that they had really good wings. We would soon find out............. We parked in the lot, walked in and was greeted right away. We were shown to our table and browsed over the menu. Tuesdays, they have "wing day" where you can get $.59 cent wings (with purchase of a drink). Not bad, not bad at all! I went with 12 wings, extra crispy (salt and pepper & medium), and a diet Coke. My mom went with 12 wings (teriyaki ginger & honey bbq) and a Coke. After we placed our order, we sat there for awhile. This is the only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars. The restaurant was not busy at all, but it still took a good 25 minutes for us to get our food. A table that ordered right before us (seriously, like 2 minutes before us...same waitress), got their meal and was mostly done by the time ours came out. For a delay that long, I was hoping that the food would be fantastic. Thankfully, it was! Here is how everything panned out.............. Salt and Pepper Wings- These things were fantastic! My 2 favorite wing places that I have ever had were Anchor Bar in Buffalo (For Christs sake, its the place where Buffalo wings originated!), and Golden Chopsticks salt and pepper wings in National City (Crack wings...if you ever go to San Diego, look this place up and go there just for the wings!). These wings were up there as some of the best I have ever had. They were extremely crispy, seasoned perfectly, piping hot and pretty big, too! If I have a Golden Chopsticks withdrawal in the future, I know where I will be headed. These salt and pepper wings were great! I will definitely get them again! Medium Wings- These were also fantastic! Crispy, crunchy, moist in the middle, perfectly sauced, just hot enough to make you sweat just a bit etc. I'm not the biggest buffalo sauce fan in the world, but this sauce and these wings were great! Definitely a repeat order! My mom really liked her wings, too! Each order of 6 wings came with a ranch dipping sauce as well as a few pieces of celery. Service was fantastic! Our waitress was extremely kind and all smiles. At one point during our meal, she came over and told me and my mom, "You guys are nice!". Not sure if she had some angry/irate customers earlier, or what? lol. She refilled beverages without having to ask, checked on us a few times during our stay, and even offered us a "to go" soda on our way out (rare...haven't seen that too often in CA or AZ..saw it on nearly every meal down South in Alabama and Louisiana a few years back. Anyways....). Besides the slight wait for our food, everything else was fantastic! These wings are awesome and the price can't be beat. For 24 wings and 2 sodas, it was only a little over $21.00! For being a wing place you served us the wrong wings, that should be the one thing you can do correctly but apparently not.
