The food was pretty delicious. I got a twitzer cup and a corn cup both of which I loved and my boyfriend got a black cherry ice cream shake he seemed to like too. But!!! Both of my items came out with no chili powder and lemon of which I specifically requested and they forgot my corn. It wasn't until about 10 minutes or standing in the middle of the store while people came and gone before my boyfriend asked them about it and they hadn't even made it, it was really disappointing when it came out without the lemon and chili powder, any lover of elotes knows that is crucial. This place is outstanding. I've tried just about everything on the menu - from chamangos, to the shrimp cocktail, to the fruit bowls. And all were delicious and very pleasant to eat. As for the location itself, the shop is a little smaller, but they make up for the lack of room by keeping the place clean and shiny. The staff (predominantly female) are also kind and welcoming. I can't imagine a better fruit bowl for $17. It had a huge amount and perfect variety of extremely fresh and delicious fruit. I stopped by last minute to pick it up, so didn't have a chance to pre-order, but they promptly made it and I was out the door in less than 10 minutes. Came here a week ago on a Saturday afternoon with the boy and it was pretty busy. Ordered a chamango and a corn bowl. The chamango was pretty watery and more like a slush. It was pretty good though, but we got tired of it halfway through. As for the corn bowl.... Ooooooh baby THAT was another story. The corn bowl is layered with parmesan cheese, mozzarella, red pepper powder, and lime. Everything harmonized sooo well, my only complaint is that they have a layer of parmesan cheese at the very bottom and its so hard to mix. So by the time we hit the bottom, we were basically choking on powdery parmesan cheese. Hahaha how unpleasant... Also, dont come here if you're in a rush, there were 2 people ahead of me when we ordered, the chamango took around 5-7 min, but the corn bowl took over 20 min.... How is it that I've lived here my entire life and only found out about this place in the last year? I really enjoy coming here because I love their smoothies/shakes and their lemonade. Ordered the small corn cup (its actually more like a medium for $3) and a medium chamango ($4.50). My corn cup came out first, it had: mayo, sour cream, parmesan, chili, lime. It was okay, but I think I prefer the mexican corn on a stick more even though the only difference is that the corn is on the cob. The chamango was good, but not the best that I've had. There wasn't enough mango flavor for me even though it looked like it was mostly mango. The chamoy flavor was just too strong.
