I am happy I finally got to visit this place and try their infamous blueberry donuts. I heard about this place from coworkers and TikTok but every time I drove past there's ALWAYS a long line and didn't want to wait that long. It's a small mom and pop donut shop with a drive-thru, it's a bit dark and inconspicuous, especially at 4 am when I went. I ordered 3 of their blueberry donuts with a Vietnamese ice coffee. The donuts were fresh and warm with a nice blueberry flavor, extremely delicious. So they definitely live up to the hype! The donut itself weren't overly cakey and had a nice crunch to them due to the glaze that's over them but still very soft on the inside. However, the Vietnamese iced coffee was just okay as the coffee flavor wasn't strong enough and it tasted like a regular iced coffee with cream. Also, I wished the ice was crushed instead of cubed. You're off getting better Vietnamese iced coffee from 7 leaves or any other place. Maybe I had a bad batch so try it you may like it. Regardless, I won't be coming here for the iced coffee just the donuts. The gentleman taking my order was very nice and so sweet. He was quite welcoming and so happy, we had up a very small conversation. I think he may have been the only one working that morning so it took a little longer than expected like 7-10 minutes but I am not complaining as the donuts I believe are made to order and I was also the only one in the drive-thru line so I didn't feel too bad. The number of cars doesn't seem to change much throughout the night, and with how slowly the line moves, you might end up getting your donuts around closing time regardless. Waiting forever in that ridiculous line just to be told at the window that there is a strict limit of 6 donuts PER CAR is absurd. You can't even buy a single dozen anymore! Took my boyfriend here as this was one of my favorite spots when I used to live in OC. The only caveat about this place is how ridiculously long the line gets every night it opens. We arrived right before 9PM when it was scheduled to open and there was already a line formed cutting through the parking lot that is shared with a grocery store. There is a walk up line that you can order from but drive through seems to be the most favored. Even with being 5 minutes early, we still waited about 40 minutes with only six cars in front of us. I feel like for the price point and how good the donuts actually are, I don't know if I can justify the wait time. I know it's a couple who run the whole show but if I plan on coming back I definitely will try to come earlier since waiting after the open is a pain. So I stuck to the plan, woke up early, drove to Anaheim - when I got there (right when they opened) there was 1 car in front of me. Came to the spot after dinner with friends. Was recommended this place from a friend who has only seen it on TikTok and has tried lining up before but always found the line too long to stay. We decided to wait it out this time since there were five of us to pass the time quickly. The first car's order was taken at 8:50pm and left at 8:52pm, we pulled up and were out with our donuts at 8:55pm so they DO open early sometimes! We ordered 4 blueberry donuts and 1 oreo donut. The glaze on the blueberry donuts is so thin, light, and not too sweet, whereas the actual cake donut itself resembles almost like a fresh blueberry muffin. There is no artificial flavor at all, and you can really taste the freshly baked blueberries! It was a delightful donut, and I easily ate 2 of them in a row and I don't generally like cake donuts at all! I visited this infamous donut drive thru twice in the same weekend. First time was a Friday night at 9:42pm and we waited over two hours in line only to be told they could only sell us six blueberry cake donuts. Yes, six pieces. Imagine our shock and disappointment. I was pleasantly surprised how not overly sweet they were (my halmoni would approve).
