Was craving some nice and greasy takeout chinese food, so decided to check this place out as the usual place I go to wasn't open yet. Got the three item combo with just chow mein. It's a little different as I expected to just get food from the heating trays, but it's made to order and I could hear the cook in the back preparing the food on the wok. Took about 10 minutes for my food to be ready. Seems like they give you a smidge less food than other places, but it is still more than enough. Decent flavors on the food I got. Good selection to choose from also. If you're expecting authentic Chinese, this obviously isn't. However, if you want nice Chinese food that hits the spot, this place will do. I came around 12pm on a Sunday and I was the only customer. Not sure if it was empty because it was raining, but I hope that was the reason and they're usually not this dead. Young lady working the counter was friendly, too. I think I'll stop by whenever I'm craving some Chinese fast food.

This place has had a while to work out the kinks and find its identity, and it's much better than the previous place that was here. It's a 1/2 take-out, 1/2 eat-in made-to-order restaurant. The menu has been dramatically expanded and now includes a good selection of seafood options. While some items are still available under the hot lamps for quick service, other (or maybe most) items will require a little time to prepare fresh. I brought our food home like I usually do, and found it quite delicious. The Orange Chicken was actually more meat than breading! The sauce wasn't overly sweet, but it wasn't spicy either. They do have a spicy version if you want that. The Kung Pao chicken was a good mix of chicken and veggies. If you order large items à la carte, you also get rice. One thing I appreciated was that the food wasn't so overstuffed in the containers that it exploded when you got home. The containers also weren't messy or leaking in the bag. Service was friendly, and she did a good job explaining everything. The menus on the wall are mostly handwritten, so I suggest reading the printed to-go menu. With the number of offerings, you get the feeling this is a full-service Chinese restaurant, not just quick takeout. After today's expeirence, we'll definately be back.

Amazing fresh food everytime. They make everything to order off their menu. My favorite is definitely the chongquing spicy crunchy chicken and schechuan beef. Will keep coming back for more

Mapo Tofu -- needs a bit more salt and spices.

UPDATE: Return to modified order (based from owner feedback) and ordered another items. I recently saw reviews and signage (indicating soft opening ) of fastfood Chinese restaurant. Yummy China (lowercase) is located across a closed Kaiser building and the plaza looks very, very empty. There's a dozen other small businesses including an Italian and sushi restaurant. I'm on the fence trying but open to trying new places. The interior is old including the floor and dining area was clean. Luckily the service was fast and efficient--the ready cooked items were limited but as long as it's on the menu they will cook for you. The menu featured all the classic favorites like Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, Fried Rice, and Lo Mein. I ordered the Mapo Tofu to go and like to use this dish as my benchmark. The portion is good and price is reasonable. I can split up portions for lunch and dinner. The food is better (2nd time), though a bit on the greasy side, and mapo tofu should be spicier. The mapo sauce is not hot. It's not gourmet Chinese by any means, but it definitely satisfies the craving for something quick and comforting. I will come back. :) TIP: For mapo, you need to specify the level of spice. I asked for spicy and I can see diced chilies. Overall, this place is worth supporting and it's a solid choice if you're looking for no-frills, Chinese food on the go.

1-item Combo plate, Beef with Broccoli, 1/2 chow mein, 1/2 fried rice

Loved the combo plates we ordered for dinner recently. Didn't even realize this place had opened so it was our first time. My daughter has already returned for lunch. Food was pretty fresh and tasty. Price was fair. The container they used for their 1-item combo was smaller than I'm used to at similar casual Chinese restaurants so it felt like they didn't give as much food for the price. Loved their hot chili sauce--so flavorful! Cashier was friendly.

Solid 3.5, but rounding up since they are new. We live super close to here so husband walked over the other night to get dinner, he ordered ahead online. He said they haven't made any improvements inside since taking over the last place, it looks run down and old. You can get bowls or combo plates from already made food sitting under heating lamps, or you can order fresh cooked food, which is what we did. They have a much larger menu for fresh food. Pork Potstickers - We hated these, they were made with a pillowy dough, almost like a soft empanada. The filling wasn't good. We each took one bite and threw them all away. Egg Fried Rice - Nice flavor, fluffy rice, huge portion. We have loads of leftovers. House Special Pan Fried Soft Noodles - Yeah, I know it said soft but I was really hoping they were actually pan fried. It was just chow mein like Panda Express, but had better flavor. Again, a huge portion. I wouldn't bother with the "house" again and would stick to veggie only. The meat was all bland, the shrimp had zero flavor. Honey Chicken - This was some of the crispiest Chinese fried chicken I have ever had, flavor was mild, not too sweet. I could tell the quality of the chicken was cheap, but didn't get any weird pieces, so that was good. It was actually GREAT cold the next day! Szechuan Garlic Beef - This was our favorite item, it was super saucy, had a nice kick, and the meat was good. We have so many leftovers I doubt we will even get through them. They also gave us two boxes of white rice for free. Is it our new favorite Chinese place? No, but it's close to home, about 25% cheaper than the place we usually order from, and portions are large. I'm sure we will try them again next time we want something quick.

Chongqing spicy crispy fried chicken. FIRE!!!!

TLDR: Yummy and fresh food, fast service, reasonable prices, clean restaurant, kind people. Great place to get a quick bite or take out! My advice? Order a la carte for an even fresher take. Favorite dish? Chongqing (pronounced like "Chong Ching") Spicy Crispy Fried Chicken. Huge entree portion. Have them char the peppers a bit more for an even spicer dish, but watch out! It's fire!!!

It's only Wednesday?! Way too tired to cook?!? Don't want to do a bunch of dishes? Yep when it's one of those days, you just want something quick and fast. But no one ever said sacrifice taste! Fortunately for us, this little gem opened up (or changed owners) making dinner a snap. An added plus, the food was fresh (literally off the wok), affordable and delish. Portions were also a plus. Highly recommend and will be back!

Orange Chicken & Spicy Orange Chicken
    Shandi C.

Came here for lunch and got the two item combo. I got the orange chicken and spicy orange chicken. it was really good and the chicken have a good crunch to it which I love. With the combo and a drink I only paid $15 and change. Which I think is a very good price because they give you big portions. The lady that helped me was very nice and the place was clean.

Yummy China is such a gem! The food was absolutely delicious, super fresh, and very affordable. I got so much for the price. The staff are incredibly friendly and kind, which makes the whole experience even better. The atmosphere has that nostalgic hole-in-the-wall feel, which I love and makes it even more authentic. This is definitely going to be my go to Chinese spot. A must-try if you're in the area!

Parking was easy, no wait to be seated on a Thursday evening and service was prompt and also checked up on us throughout the meal. Szechuan eggplant - so yum, arrived piping hot, it was coated in a super thin breading first before being fried and then coated in the Szechuan sauce. Slightly spicy, tangy and sweet, the classic Szechuan eggplant. Fish with veggies - loved how light but flavorful this dish was. Tender fish filet with garlic and a bunch of veggies, doesn't look very flavorful but it was very good! Would get again as a lighter dish compared to the others. Garlic pork - 魚香肉絲 this is typically my favorite dish in Chinese restaurants and saw it titled similarly in the menu but realized it's not cut into 絲 and it included celery, which the dish typically does not include. Not complaining though, the flavor was still great and I loved the dish, just different than what I expected. Sesame chicken - similar to orange chicken but without the orange flavor. Came piping hot and had good pieces of chicken within the breading. Sweet and sour, liked the flavor alot. The dishes came with rice! Would totally come back again to try the other dishes. The kung pao chicken was "ok" there were more vegetables than chicken. The seafood boil style shrimp was TERRIBLE! Had very little seasoning, hardly any sauce and came lukewarm. Yuck on many levels. The service was just as bad as the food. Never checked on us ONCE or even spoke to us for that matter, after taking our order, other than to give us the bill. Rude as hell. Really pissed at the friend that recommended this place. Hoping I can spare some of you the trouble and wasted money. It's trash. Would never come back.

I apparently have emotional support soup. They're open late, which automatically earns bonus points for me. Sometimes a hot and sour soup craving crashes into my evening at 9 PM with the urgency of a medical emergency, and it's deeply reassuring to know that Lantern Garden is standing by to answer the call. The auntie working behind the counter was incredibly kind and patiently explained the entree options when I asked whether they came with rice. When I learned that a side bowl was $3, I briefly slipped into my "back in the day" era and held a tiny memorial service for the days when rice practically came free. Then I remembered it's 2026, sighed dramatically, and accepted my fate. I ordered the one bowl special with country style tofu, and of course, the hot and sour soup. The soup arrived at approximately the temperature of the earth's molten core. Did that stop me from taking an immediate bite? Of course not. I nearly sacrificed my taste buds because patience has never been one of my defining traits. It was worth every poor life decision. The soup was everything I'd been craving- tangy, savory, deeply comforting, and gloriously vinegar-forward. Every spoonful felt like my sinuses were receiving a warm hug while my soul quietly unclenched. If this soup had a loyalty program, I'd already be working toward platinum status. The country style tofu was equally delightful. The tofu was soft, fluffy, and wonderfully sponge-like, happily soaking up every drop of the savory sauce. Onions, serrrano peppers, carrots, and mushrooms, rounded everything out, creating a dish that somehow tasted both hearty and comforting, like something my childhood would have loved, even if it had never actually eaten it. The biggest plot twist was the portion size. What I assumed would be dinner turned into dinner and tomorrow's lunch. A few things spark as much joy as realizing future me has already been fed by past me's questionable ability to estimate portion sizes. Between the generous servings, genuinely warm service, late night hours, and a hot and sour soup that has already claimed permanent residency in my brain, I'll absolutely be back. At this point, it's less a question of if and more a question of when the next soup craving comes knocking.
