Course in great condition. Some long par 4's but still challenging. Friendly staff and a well stocked pro shop.

If you're a golfer, then you must try a challenging round at the Navy Marine Golf Course. This course is centrally located in the heart of Honolulu, close to the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. Overall, a very enjoyable course due to their well-maintained and nicely placed greens, bunkers and water hazards. Fairly level throughout the course, with some slight elevation changes. Note: you'll need to have a DoD or military ID card to play or have someone sponsor you in order to play.

I guess I would call Navy Marine Golf Course my home course on the island, I've played it enough to call it home. I can't believe I have never written a review for this course, shame on me. The course is complete with an amazing pro shop that sells everything you need, driving range that is perfect for practicing driving and chipping, putting green and 604 Mangiamo Italian Restaurant on the second floor. It's definitely one of the best golf courses in the DoD and a fun course to play and you can't beat the prices. The course can be challenging at times, focus on one shot at a time. You need to have a DoD or military ID card to play or have someone sponsor you in order to play. The staff does an amazing job keeping this golf course in great shape, from the greens to the fairways. The staff also do a super job keeping play moving. It's often crowded, but they do everything they can to get you out on the course. Twilight starts at 3:30 and during the week not very crowded. Weekends and early mornings recommend making a tee time. If you haven't played Navy Marine yet, definitely give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Navy Marine Golf Course in Honolulu provides an excellent open 18 hole golf course great for finding your ball when it doesn't fly exactly straight. Note you do a need a military sponsor to play on this course as it is a military golf course. Located right near Daniel K. Inouye International Airport Navy Marine has open fairways which offer varying amounts of difficulty depending where the pin is located. Great for hitters who can blast the ball past 250 yards leaving you 165 - 180 yard shot for most of the par 4s. Conditions are always great as the grass is well maintained. This course gets super busy with groups and locals but nonetheless a great experience if you have the chance to play.

This review is for the driving range. We went to eat at 604 so we didn't have any golf clubs with us when we decided to check out the driving range. Graciously we were allowed to borrow practice clubs. The basket of balls are super affordable. You have to be military or have a sponsor to purchase the basket. The range is nicely maintained. We were also allowed to bring some a bucket of beer from 604 express to stay hydrated at the range.

This course as compared to most muni's and all other military courses has them all beat. Hands down. The new club carts are great. Ok no built in gps and BS. But who needs it if you have a smart phone or watch or range finder. The course condition is darn near perfect. And has been for many years. Ok all courses have to punch the greens fairways etc. but they at least tell you before or while you make your tee time. The staff are great. And polite. I'm retired Navy and I will continue to play this course. Everyone needs to give it a shot.

My wife gave me golf lessons for Christmas. We have talked about golf lessons for at least a few years when she and the kids gave me golf clubs for Father's Day. I finally took them out of the packaging to have my first golf lesson, and took my son with me for his first as well. We met with Joey who gave us instruction on how to hit the ball with a Pitching Wedge. It was very insightful to learn about form, technique, etc for about an hour, being able to ask questions and understand how we can improve. My son and I walked away with a better appreciation for golf and look forward to our next lesson. We finished with Joey and went on the driving range to hit another bucket of balls. I felt like I did better on the driving range for whatever reason. $4 for a bucket of balls at the driving range. 18 holes of golf varies in cost by rank. I look forward to my next lesson and getting on the golf course with family and friends.

Haven't played a round of golf in a while. About a year and a half. One of my retired buds needed a fourth player. Sure...I need to get the dust off my clubs. Eagles and Birdies: + Easy to get to. Right off the H-1/Nimitz Highway. + Ample parking. + Service. Smooth Sailing getting checked in and started. + Course was well kept. + The price of a round with a cart was under $60. A win for me. + Military History/Heritage on the hole markers honoring Medal of Honor recipients from December 7, 1941. Par and below: - The holes near the H-1 can get pretty loud. - The restaurant not open until further notice. Most people want some good grub after 18 holes. Not today. Ended up going to Yummy's across the street. Note: This is a military course. Must be sponsored by military/DOD personnel. Overall a great time. Looking forward to the next 18 here.

Really nice course. Very well maintained. Don't order the garlic fries at the snack shop. For $7 all you get is a handful.

Do not waste your time going here, the employees are pricks and the course is crap. Save yourself the time and just go to Mamala Bay.

Bay View strikes an impressive balance between the two. The ball-tracking technology is excellent, the bays are well maintained, and whether you're dialing in wedges, working on dispersion, or just enjoying a casual round with friends, everything works exactly as it should. I've been to Topgolf locations across the mainland, and honestly, Bay View gives them real competition. In some ways, I'd argue it's even better. Instead of staring at parking lots or city skylines, you're hitting balls surrounded by lush tropical scenery with Hawaiian trade winds and mountain views. It's an experience you simply can't recreate on the mainland. The food, drinks, and service all complemented the atmosphere, making it easy to spend several hours here without ever feeling rushed. Whether you're a scratch golfer looking to fine-tune your game or someone just swinging a club for the first time, Bay View has created something special. It's proof that Hawaiʻi can take a great concept and elevate it with a setting no one else can match.

Its $20/bucket, with 2 levels of covered driving range areas. Overall, been here twice and I liked practicing here. Highly recommend!

I had always looked forward to playing golf once I moved to Hawaii, so while I was still in Japan,…read moreI took lessons diligently with a professional. However, my shoulder unfortunately developed a recurring dislocation that worsened over time, and I was forced to give up golf despite my reluctance. Even so, thanks to my golf-loving friends, I still feel excited just looking at a beautiful green, even if I can't play anymore. This time, I visited Oahu Country Club for a party hosted by my lawyer's firm. The event was held in a private banquet room overlooking the lush greens, and it was a wonderful experience with delicious food, drinks, and pleasant live music. As expected, the clubhouse cuisine was refined and impressive. There was even a nigiri sushi station, which made me especially happy as a Japanese guest. The club is conveniently located about a 14-15 minute drive from my home. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that even non-golfers can become members, so I immediately started looking into it (laugh). After all, being able to enjoy great food and wine while taking in such a beautiful view sounded very appealing. Unfortunately, the membership fee comes with about six zeros in USD, and we quickly gave up the idea... That said, it definitely reignited my passion for golf. The course at Oahu Country Club is set within a forest and features significant elevation changes, making it quite challenging for beginners. However, it offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy golf surrounded by nature. The clubhouse itself has a casual atmosphere, but there is a dress code--such as wearing collared shirts--so don't forget to check your outfit before heading in for a meal.
