Stopped in on a Saturday night. It may have been way too early (around 7:30pm) but we easily found a seat at the bar. It had a cool vibe and tons of allocated bottles on the bar (tequila and whiskey and whisky to name a few categories). The staff greeted us quickly and supplied us with some menus. I opted for the Idyllwild cocktail and loved it! It had the most complementary flavors and was so refreshing with the bourbon, yuzu, chartreuse, honey, and lemon flavors. My husband opted for a neat Caballito Cerrero Puntas pour (high proof agave spirit). They only had 0.5 Oz for their bottle and only charged for the partial pour. People came in and ordered anything from cocktails to neat pours to flights. It was a cool spot and the bartenders seemed pretty well versed in different cocktails, giving a few suggestions to different patrons. Even making a few Espresso Martinis for a couple of girls that didn't really like their initial cocktails. Staff was cool, attentive, and pretty quick and efficient with the pours. I'd definitely be down to try more drinks here if we roll through again. Luckily, we found some close street parking and it wasn't super busy so we easily found parking in the area. It also wasn't super packed in the venue so we could've opted for other seating--lounge areas, a few tables, or just at the bar.

Pretty cool place to drink and chill. Loved the music they played here, but it wasn't anything too loud. You can actually hear your conversation. Bartenders were friendly and it was just a cool vibe. I'd love to come back for a drink or two.

Great little cocktail lounge with a nice ambiance. We come for happy hour which used to have better (IMO) drinks than it does now (please bring back the espresso martini on HH!). But it's definitely a value. The service is good for how few people appear to be working a shift. I would like to come back for one of the music nights.

Tried neat on Halloween night on a double date Ambiance is cute Dark with mood candles and read leather chairs Flowers hang from the roof They have kitschy decor behind the bar, like a sign that has the exact date prohibition was abolished - which was brought to our attention by another patron as it allegedly ended on his birthday lol Theres a stack of free games to choose from in the corner if you and your party get tired of talking over the music They offered 6$ halloween shots I had a couple lemon drops that got me a little tipsy My date had 4 old fashions, it wasnt until the 4th that they finally put cherries in his drink so not sure if drinks being mixed are consistent across bar tenders Cute lil bar with a chill vibe Id go back to try their espresso martini and maybe check out their live r&b nights

Has some time to kill while my girlfriend was at yoga. So I popped into this slow bar nearby Sawtelle, and to my surprise, they were stocked up with some amazing rare whiskies and tequila, and I had one of the best old-fashioned I've had in a while. Highly recommended will definitely be coming back.

we love the unassuming charm this place has. normally, you wouldn't expect a bar so quaint yet sophisticated on pico blvd. there's also many options on the menu to choose from. they had me at the red hot chili pepper cocktail, a five-star mezcal hit.

Cute spot that was decorated for the holidays. Good cocktails, I liked the menu with so many different options separated out by what type of spirit or drink you want. Decent happy hour, too. Can get a little rowdy and crowded, so it's better to come earlier to find seats. I think that's my only downside, really -- it seems like it should be a cocktail bar that's a little quieter and calmer than it ends up being. But if you're in the area, it's a good spot to try.

This is such a great place! I had a 20s themed birthday here and everyone had a great time. They allowed us to bring outside food since they don't serve any which was perfect. They have a happy hour so my friends and family were able to partake in some discounts. The drinks are so great. It can be a bit dark but the decor matches the vibe.

We didn't have food but the ambiance was chill . Good place to take a first date and talk . The bartender was cool. It was cool to try once but won't be coming back.

This place was quite the surprise for me! I was visiting some friends in the area and we decided to walk over here since it's nearby and they had been here before. Excellent choice! The drinks that they whip up here are delicious! I ordered a few different ones. I truly loved the first one I got (I wish I remembered the names). The second one was good. I really like the ambiance and dim lighting here. It's truly a great place to take someone on a date I'd say. I love the colorful lighting around the ceiling that makes it feel festive and cozy! I'm not sure if it's there year-round or if it's because it was right after Christmas, but please keep it up all the time! I'd definitely recommend this place. Just be aware you'll be spending around that $18-22 mark for cocktails!

My friend and I had dinner at Sawtelle and decided to check out a few bars. Neat has replaced the former Liquid Kitty to become more trendy and classy. The bar is dark and intimidate. Bartenders were all friendly. To be honest, I didn't have much expectations going in but I was absolutely blown away by this place! I ordered the 1-2 punch and it was absolutely delicious like dessert. It consisted of aged rum, rose aperitivo, pinot noir, strawberry, and milk wash. I had to google a few of the ingredients lol but it was so amazing that I had to order a second one! Neat is probably my favorite bar in West LA right now. I will actually make it a point to return when I'm in the area.

This bar has the best cocktails down Pico. You can tell there's a lot of thought and care being put into each one. It's a great place for a small outing with friends or even a first date. They do not have TVs. They do have board games or table games available. There is street parking but that can be tough depending on the day. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a quality cocktail.

Great bar, has a really good ambiance, great selection of whiskey and they play some really great music. Service is good. Haven't tried their food. If you are looking for a small spot to hang out and is nothing crazy then this would be your place. 90's music(hiphop and RnB)

I'm taking a woman here for drinks on our 1st date. I just want to make sure your place is not too loud for gettin-to-know-you conversations:-). How loud is it?

We are well known as a first or multi date spot, as our focus is for our guests to engage with each other. It's quiet enough to be able to listen to each other without having to shout or repeat and loud enough that you have your privacy.

Is there a dj on some nights? I wanted to do a bday with some dancing.

We always have music playing inside the bar but we do not have a DJ. We have live music on the first Thursday of every month.

Are we allowed to bring our own food inside the bar?

    You are! We encourage BYOF.

What type of live music is there, and when? Thanks!

A mix of funk and rock mostly. Every Thursday night starting at 9pm. Thank you!

There were two other families with children as well, and it honestly felt like the restaurant was trying to maintain a certain image or atmosphere that didn't include families with kids. We were initially shown to a tucked-away lounge area, which felt like an attempt to keep us out of the main dining area. We declined and were eventually seated at a table. Unfortunately, the service didn't improve much from there. Our waitress was extremely hot and cold throughout the meal. When we ordered our third round of drinks, she visibly reacted with surprise, as if she couldn't believe we were ordering another one. After that, she never came back to check on us. We eventually had to find someone else to close out our check. The most uncomfortable part was toward the end of our meal. Our waitress was standing directly behind us, giving us what felt like a very obvious dirty look with a smirk, almost as if she was signaling that it was time for us to leave. It made the experience feel very unwelcoming and awkward. As for the food and drinks, the cocktails are premade and were pretty mediocre, and the pizza was just average. At this price point, there are plenty of better options in the area where you can get better food and, more importantly, feel genuinely welcomed. Overall, we left disappointed.
