He poured us a couple samples and we ended up going with a red that we really liked. We ordered the focaccia, meatballs, and lasagna, which we both really enjoyed. Tasted like we were having a meal at someone's home. There's a small back lot for parking but street parking was relatively easy to find. You can also ask for a table nearby a wall plug if you need somewhere to plug in your laptop. This is going to be our go-to eats+wine+study spot when we're on the west side. read more

My go-to dishes are the Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe and the Bruschetta Avocado. The Cacio e Pepe may literally mean "spaghetti with cheese and pepper," but it's so much more than that. The pasta is perfectly coated in a silky, savory sauce made from Pecorino Romano and freshly cracked black pepper--simple ingredients that come together into something incredibly rich, comforting, and flavorful. The Bruschetta Avocado is another favorite and pairs beautifully with the pasta. I highly recommend both. Gnocchi lamb ragu was alright, just a bit mushy compared to other gnocchi dishes I've tried, and a small portion for the price. I love, love their food and their house wine never disappoints. They can get busy and you might end up at the bar even for an early dinner so reserve a table. Three of us, and we each ordered a different item and did some cross tasting. Everything was perfect! Their Chicken Marsala was the most perfect tender chicken breast I had. The dining room isn't big, but roomy enough for a party of 8 and they also have bar sitting. The area was clean and well maintained. Our waiter was wonderful! Helped with wine selections, which I needed as they have some great Italian wines we hadn't tried yet and I am glad we did! Our food was some of the best Italian we've had in a long time. From appetizers to main course and dessert I wouldn't change a thing. I had the tiramisu for dessert and it was heavenly. I'd go back just for the dessert alone. By far the best tiramisu I've ever had and I make it a point to try it at any place that serves it. Really enjoyed this restaurant! Came here with a friend for dinner and thankfully we called head to make sure we were able to get a table. We had just missed the happy hour specials but we're still really excited to sit down and enjoy this new restaurant. I ordered the homemade beef meatballs and enjoyed one of their cups of red wine. The butternut squash ravioli was good, but I prefer it to be more creamy and heavy. The portion was also small. The fettuccine alfredo with mushrooms was my favorite dish of the night. The mushroom flavor was there but not overwhelming. Service was quick and attentive. The wine bar has a nicely warm lit ambiance with small table seating and wine bar. Dark and cozy with tea lights and a small, intimate sitting area. The food was delicious! I will note that the portions are somewhat small (especially for the price), BUT everything was delicious. We especially enjoyed the bruschetta, and I loved the spaghetti marinara that I ordered. Our server was incredibly kind and very attentive from start to finish. Since we were on a time crunch, we got right down to business with ordering a glass of their house red wine which happened to be Mezzadro that night (not sure if they rotate?) Pretty soon thereafter, I ordered the Pizza Schiacciata from the pizza flatbread section after Sara herself recommended it! It was light, airy, crispy, and flavorful! I recommend it so long as you're not super hungry since it wasn't satiating. Our server checked on us multiple times throughout our dinner and was friendly and kind. There is a small parking lot adjacent to the restaurant which is a win itself. The pricing is all very decent and reasonable. We even bought a bottle of the house wine to-go! Under the hot plates section and only $13, the home-style corn meal is on a bed of homemade bolognese sauce, topped with Parmesan cheese, which can be left off if you're lactose intolerant. The service is top notch and they have a good amount of indoor seating, as well as a bar. To make a reservation, call during their business hours - they open at 5pm. Bottles of wine are 10% off, so our group shared 3 of the chilled red 2020 vintage of Domaine de Fenouillet Ventoux, Rhone, France, which went from $44 to $40. If you're going with multiple people, I recommend saving and splitting a bottle. read more

Found this place when I was scrolling on yelp one night looking for something new to try. I was blown away by the service, food quality, and experience. Immediately upon walking in, the atmosphere was warm and lively. Service was quick and waiters were incredibly attentive and friendly. I ordered the Cavatelli Sausage and substituted it for gnocchi.
