The talent started off more than rough but some really excellent guys stepped up at the end and blew us away with their voices. We visited for the 1st time with out of town friends. Because it was Black Friday and early afternoon getting a table was no problem. 5 out of the 6 of us ordered burgers, 1 ordered mozzarella sticks. All of us enjoyed our food overall. I have two suggestions. 1) Prepare burgers to the correct temperature. I would've liked a little more pink. It was well done. 2) When a parent orders a "cheeseburger" for their preschool age child, please ask if they want the child's size or the regular cheeseburger. My visit this evening was a welcome and refreshing difference from when I came just over a month ago. Some changes in staff seem to have made a big difference. Carrie D.'s attentiveness to our table was fantastic and she brought refills without even being asked, and before our drinks were even empty. She was very polite, friendly, attentive, and a professional. There were no mistakes in our order, and she payed attention to our special requests, too. She stopped by to ensure we were doing well throughout our visit and to make sure we were well taken care of. I can't tell you how nice it was to experience this great service. Love going to Ned's! The staff are super friendly, especially the bar tenders! They are very welcoming. Awesome food and drink specials. Last time we went my boyfriend ordered a burger off the "specials menu." It was stuffed with cheese and jalapeños. It was massive and gone in minutes. I would defiantly order the "Devine chips." They are crunchy and you can add different seasonings. I like the cajan. They have a great happy hour food menu, which is packed with wings, nachos and other items that are great to share. Decent dive and HH spot, but Jon Taffer would have a field day with the rank smell that pervades the bar here. Can't take a full breath without gagging on funk. Multiple bars which is nice, and currently catering to some sort of important soccer game with the audio playing throughout bar which the smattering of fans here surely appreciate. Would add a photo, but smell-o-vision for phones isn't quite perfected yet. No Closed Capitioning and gnats flying around me too, down to one star. read more

They have so many other TVs that the fans of Redskins and other teams are not alienated - there was even a Dallas fan there last week for some reason. This...was just the best we could've hoped for. I planned a birthday party for two friends and had no idea there was going to be a concert the same night. When I contacted Ned Devine's to reserve the space for the party, someone got back to me the same day and reserved it. A few days before the party, someone else got in touch with me, making sure everything was going as planned. That's when he informed me there was a concert (Brena - FANTASTIC if you get to hear them) the same night. The manager was sweet enough to put aside 15 tickets for everyone in our party to see the show without paying cover. As if that wasn't wonderful enough, when we got there, it was just great. There's no smell, like other reviews mentioned. Everyone is so friendly. Our waiter came around, what seemed like, every 10 minutes and asked if we needed anything and came back with our orders quickly. He helped bring in the cakes and just had a great sense of humor. Cheesy Fries not that great (regular fries with cheddar on top). Their Irish dishes are OK (such as Sheperd's pies etc) PRICES - way too high!! $6 for a small (!) Guiness Prices for the food are too high, considering how small the portions are! For those prices you could dine at a really fancy Restaurant! Bar's APPEARANCE - shabby and worn-out. Nothing great. STAFF - is OK to "so-so" We've had super waiters and waitresses here before and then a really crappy one. EVENTS - So-so Trivia Night is TERRIBLE and was an absolute disappointment! You come there at 7pm and get the Trivia Sheet with the questions... you fill that out and turn the sheet in. At 8pm someone comes up, reads the answers and determines who won. I felt like taking a test in school. Boring and lame!! Karaoke is OK. The DJ is a bit weird but has a good list of song choices and you get to stand on a little stage. That was OK. I've dined there roughly a half dozen times over the past 4-5 years. My most recent experience meeting a friend for a late (2pm) lunch will be my final visit. In short, while the service can be friendly and efficient, the majority of the dishes I've attempted to eat have been horrible. Last visit I ordered fried calamari and several pieces were still lukewarm, and clearly tasted of freezer burn. My Irish buddy ordered bangers and mash with fries and only the fries were edible. The sausages tasted like sawdust filled floor sweepings and the peas were hard and tasteless. The gravy was born and died in jar. When I worked nearby this was often a go to place for office parties and the food was almost always horrible. I've given up on this place. I really can't recommend eating there. I went to Ned Devines yesterday with my dad and brother. We ordered the crab dip appetizer which was savory and delicious. I ordered the meat pie entree. The service was very quick. The meat pies texture was outstanding. The crust was fluffy and the filling was scrumptious. It came with an amazing gravy and some of the best vegetables I've had on the side. The fries were decent and I even put the gravy for the pie on the fries too. The only problem I had was with the pie. There was too much salt. I didn't mind at the beginning because I was so hungry but towards the end it was really noticeable. Overall, a great place if you like Irish food. read more

Came here because my daughter was part of the Irish dance school who performed. We decided to have dinner. The food was delicious but the service was lacking. Was it because we didn't have a reservation and was put in the back by the bar? Not sure but we had to wait for everything from getting our drinks, to ordering the food, getting utensils and finally a second root beer. Yet when we asked for the check that was brought to us in less than 2 minutes. I am not exaggerating and when the bill was settled and cash put on the table, the waitress came in another 2 minutes to collect it. Would I come back? After looking at the Green Turtle (did not stay) I found Neds and had a great couple of hours watching baseball and enjoying their extended beer selection. I used to enjoy coming here for happy hour or a band. Today we came in and all the tables were marked reserved. Bartender said they weren't really and told us to take the one by the window. A few minutes later the host who I assume was also the manager came over and in a very condescending manner asked us what the sign on the table said and if we knew what that meant. We told him what the bartender said and he still went on about how we shouldn't have sat down without talking to him. Even after we made it clear that we were doing what we were told and that his attitude was not very customer friendly, he refused to be apologetic in any way and finally just brought some menus over and left. I used to go more in the past and recently returned for a Saturday night a few weeks ago. By far a poor experience to be nice. We sat ourselves outside on a warm summer day. A guy in a dress shirt provided menus after 15 min (wanna be college kid manager?). Then a separate server took our drink order n took another 15m. We ordered food and it took 50 minutes which came out (shocker) cold. (It was NOT BUSY, i came because nearby restaurants were) I informed the waiter an he claimed it came right out (cold fish tacos). He brought it back to warm it up but all i could think of what he was doing to it. It tasted awful and he could care less. The icing on the cake was the drunk person out on the patio near us who should've been thrown out/put in a cab for his mouth and attitude toward people of color. But nope, he was allowed to rant an insult people. Multiple people noticed and did nothing. The cleanliness, upkeep, and floors were also an issue but was no surprise after seeing the service n management in place. Used to be a decent Irish pub, but like all good things have come to an end. We ordered a meal and an appetizer I wish I could tell you how the food was, but when you are on your lunch hour, and have been waiting 30 minutes for your appetizer and can't find your server, you have to make a command decision to just leave and grab some garbage fast food so you can get some actual food on your lunch hour. Hey Ned, If you are going to serve lunch you may want to get it out to people while they still have time to sit there and eat it. Atmosphere was perfect -nice size crowd on a Saturday -- enough to feel welcoming but not over-crowded.
