My issue is not with the moving crew, they arrived on time and were extremely efficient and friendly. The hidden costs associated with this company are financially prohibitive and I would not recommend using this company. You will be charged labor rates for the time it takes the crew to drive to your home and then to leave your home. In my situation I was charged an hour each way at $160.00 per hour. Additionally, a $30 fuel charge was also added to the cost of the services, none of which is known upfront. In short, I paid an extra $350 in total for the movers to travel to my home and then to leave after the move was complete. This does not include the actual labor time for the move, which wasn't an issue. This is an unnecessary, unfair and quite frankly lacks integrity. Scheduled move only two weeks out and got my date. Called to confirm day before (you never know, right!) Jason called back within 2 hours with confirmation. Tim, Bailey, Dillon and Rich were great! Showed up on time (was going to be a long day). They moved my 2400 sq. ft. 5 bdrm/ ba home. I had significantly under estimated how much stuff we had, 3-car garage + backyard furniture sets, etc. Tim called for back up! Jason showed up with Dillon. These guys really busted it out, nonstop, through loading and unloading up/down stairs at both ends. We had all of our stuff packed in boxes. They shrunk wrapped all furniture. Nothing was damaged. Guys knew how to load/unload. Pricing is based upon number of movers and time spent, including travel + very minor charge for each set of stairways. Last time I checked, my actual cost vs. other moving companies, Jason was less than half of what other moving companies bid flat rate. I've never seen a UHAUL packed so beautifully in my life (and I've moved a LOT my entire life)! On a one day notice Tim and his team arrived early at my office and like a well oiled machine went to work. The dis-assembled the modular furniture and very large treadmill, had is shrink-wrapped and ready to go. Next Tim worked his magic at my 10x15 storage unit rearranging everything for maxim use. Charged 65% over estimate. Because of the good reviews here, I hired this company for a local move (15 min. drive). When I called the owner/manager Jason, he gave me a verbal estimate for a 4 bedroom house of 7 to 8 hours at $160/hour for 3 men and their largest truck. He didn't ask to arrange a site visit so I took him at his word (it seemed to me he didn't want to take the time for a site visit). Another company came for a site visit and quoted the SAME time for the job which confirmed what Jason told me. The move took more than one truck load the next day and an extra 5 hours. I didn't expect this at all ... I don't think their largest truck is adequate for bigger jobs. I was charged $800 more than quoted and $700 more than the other company quoted. I can understand an extra hour or two but not 13 hours when I was told 8 hours! Afterwards I complained to Jason and he was sorry I wasn't happy, but would not give me a partial refund or even a free service (dump run) to compensate and make me happy. Seems like all talk and no action in customer satisfaction. Watch out and don't be fooled by the low hourly rate and a low quote! We were able to move back in from a full interior remodel. I contacted Jason and requested that Tim and his crew do the move back in, as Tim was the lead when we moved everything out. Jason would make sure that Tim was available, and I scheduled the move. As things always go with remodels, I had to call Jason 3 days before the move and buy some time for our contractor. I was certain Jason wouldn't be able to accommodate the last minute change, but he did and gave me NO grief about the last minute change. What a relief that was, he was great and worked it in for our new day. Tim was there with his crew and directed everything, even down to having the crew put new felt anti skid pads on the furniture so as not to scratch the new hardwood floors, rather than have us do it. Super helpful! They were in and out being very attentive and time conscious. They don't screw around on your dollar. This is the first time using a moving company for our business and I would not be more satisfied. I reached out to multiple companies for quotes (a feature on YELP) and Jason got back to me within an hour with a quote and scheduling. For 4 or 5 desks, 30 or so chairs, and a handful of furniture items, and had one desk picked up from a furniture store & we used 3 or 4 guys and a 24' moving truck. They arrived right on time and did a wonderful job. Tom was extremely helpful throughout this process and actually helped us assemble together a couple of the wobbly desks and made sure the newer helpers weren't dragging or ruining the furniture. They finished the job within 4 hours including the time spent to go pick up the new desk and bring it back. I was completely surprised. We have since used this company for the pick up and assembly of 4 desks which didn't take long at all. This makes me sad to write this given the 5 star rating. I would have gladly paid $3500 which was over 1500 from original quote but the 3 man job was more like 1.5 men. 2 of the 3 verbally told me they were "new" and one couldn't figure out how to use the hand cart which my mother observed. My 7 year old son worked more efficiently than one of the men. The response to my BF review by owner was not factual as He Was not present for the move either. His statement is based off of 3 young men trying to keep their jobs. I have videos on my ring camera showing their lack of urgency. As for the damage and myself and son being blamed I'm more in shock. The pieces that were damaged were over 70 pounds and places inside the rooms. I couldn't move them if I tried and taking the plastic wrap off myself wouldn't have damaged it. They wrapped it moved it they are responsible. In addition, my son never took anything upstairs.Prior to signing I asked ( my mother as witness) about The Who to speak to about the Damages and was told to discuss with manager. 1day prior I walked the walls with the owner. I have emailed the owner of this company directly with no response to my complaint, only a connection to his insurance broker. I will say the men were very polite.
