I scheduled what I expected to be a routine check-up, which should have been covered as preventive care. The visit lasted less than 10 minutes. The doctor asked a few general questions, and I briefly mentioned a minor stomach issue. She suggested an ultrasound, and that was it. To my surprise, I was later billed for a full medical office visit, not a preventive exam. This kind of billing practice feels misleading and disappointing. It seems that simply mentioning any concern, no matter how small, can turn a basic check-up into a more expensive, out-of-pocket charge--without any clear explanation at the time. Patients deserve transparency and fairness, not surprise bills over routine care. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone who values clear communication or ethical billing. read more

I was so excited to find a new doctor that I liked in the area. My old doctor who I very much liked was an hour away without traffic and it just became too painful to get there. Dr. Ghevariya is kind, patient and comes across as very competent. She worked with me on some health issues i have and pointed out how I can fix them with diet and exercise. She was insistent without being overbearing and just great to work with. Unfortunately it is outright impossible to get ahold of her or the office. They will not answer the phone under any conditions. I tried to book an appointment today and called SEVEN times and still could not speak with anyone to book an appointment. I'll likely continue to try and work with her in the near term, but if you don't want a run-around trying to get an appointment you should look elsewhere. read more

Dr. Ghevariya is a perfectly okay doctor. If you have a straight forward issue, like an ear infection or something, I'm sure she would be sufficient. But if you, like me, have complex health issues that I'm still working through the diagnostic process for, she is absolutely unfit as a primary care provider. For the most part, she just filled out my disability paperwork, which was fine and she did in a timely manner. But when I approached her for actual medical care for some specific issues I've been having, she basically had no interest in helping me figure them out. After some back and forth, she said that she couldn't help me and I just needed to go get treated at a UCSF or Stanford clinic. The relevant clinics for me have extremely long waits, by the way. (Also note that my new PCP, a nurse practitioner, immediately understood the issues when I brought them to her, and I am already starting treatment for them, so they certainly can be addressed by a PCP.) Aside from the many many many issues with the office and staff, Dr. Ghevariya is unwilling or unable to fulfill the role of primary care provider for many patients. Just don't bother and keep looking for someone who can really help you. read more

I am coming to see the same dr for last 10 years or more than that. I recommand my family and friends and co- workers here. If I need to be seen by the dr I always get the appointment on the same day or next day. very very nice and accomodating. I always get my appointment reminder and get my labs from and labs rwsulta hard copy. Staff is very nice and friendly and they always call me back if I leave a mesaage . very prompt service. Dr Ghevariya is nice and confident. I used to see foundation where you mostly dont see same dr,'s and good luck if you are sick urgently and need to see dr in a day or 2, you can not get hold of them. And end up going to urgent care which costs lot more money. My foundation bills always cost me around $500 to $700. Just because its foundation it is very costly with some insurances. Then I started going to Dr Ghevariya due to ease of appointments, mostly same say or next day if she is not on vacation. I realize that I will see her only, no middle nurse or RN or NPs. Her staff make sure that if its urgent matter they will try hard to schedule you on same day or next day. You do not need to go through same stories with different drs. Her covering physician is also very nice. I guess my point of view totally change after I started getting more and more care. Her biggest focus is on preventing health problem. She always tells me, lets start working on diet and exercise. I wanted to order vit d3 level and she said it is not needed and will not be covered by most insurances. Now as a doctor it is not her responsibility to tell about bills but she went out of the way and said this test is no longer covered and out of pocket is $250. Wow! Which I like since you as a patient never know which testes are needed for you. You read on so called google and think you need it. We also do not know most of the time who is writing on google, are they even real or legitimate people? Now my husband also sees her and eventually my daughter will go to her. Too greedy. The doctor is pretty nice and patient, although he couldn't find out why I felt pain. However, after I got the scan and the result sent back to the doctor, and I talked to him on the phone, I was surprised that I got a bill from him! For any other doctors I visited, the doctor only told me what the result is and never charged me. I also asked the front desk (They are very nice and helpful though) specifically if I need to pay anything and she said no, the doctor would only tell me the result. So with no telling in advance, they just send you a bill to your address. That's a very wrong practice! Anyone should be aware!!! read more

I went to get my blood work done and I wanted to discuss the results with Dr. Gheraviya only to be told by the receptionist that they no longer take Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Alabama as of February 1, 2019. I was in total disbelief that they did not even call to warn me that they are no longer taking my insurance. The staff at this medical office are outrageously incompetent. Zocdoc referred me to Dr. Ghevariya specifically for travel vaccines. Staff never picked up the phone but I left multiple voicemails stating the purpose of my appointment and travel destination weeks in advance. I asked them to confirm that they have the vaccines available for my upcoming business trip. They confirmed the appointment. Arriving to the appointment, front office staff seemed 100% clueless about my needs. Of course, the doctor was unprepared and unable to vaccinate me. I was turned away. Asked about how this could happen, the doctor says "I don't know what happened with the front office." This was a complete waste of time, and avoidable at that. read more

I did blood testing with Dr. Ghevariya last year. The visit itself was fine but when I asked her and the front desk that the test results be sent to me after we went over them in office they never were. I recently needed a doctor's note verifying these test results that only her office has record of for insurance purposes. I left a message asking for a doctor's note, they did not return my call. I called again and they told me the doctor does not write doctor's notes of any kind. They not only never sent me my test results, but now won't verify them when I need that information for my records. I feel like my my medical information is now held over my head by this office who won't verify or send records! And for what? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE if you ever want any follow through with your medical records and information. read more

She is a nice woman and helpful doctor. Willing to make referrals when they are necessary- both my husband and I see her. Only problem is now she is focused on treatments like microderm abrasion. I get it, you have to get your money. But doing family medicine and skin care don't really match, so she's often late to appointments. read more

My 91yo mom fell and broke her shoulder. Dr saw her and gave no guidance. THe office told us to go to the ortho Doctors office and make an appt which was a month later instead of calling and explain what happen to get an earlier appt. When home we realized we were not sure how to support her. We had no home health to guide us. We called the doctor requesting support and was told she went on vacation for 2 weeks. When asked about a backup doctor to sign home health papers she didn't hae one. Just kept repeating the doctor would be back in two weeks to sign home health papers. My mom couldn't sleep or shower. Sat in a chair 24-7 for 2 weeks straight because we didn't know how to make her comfortable. Everything we tried hurt her. We had no home health for my mom for the whole time the Dr was on vacation. Her office staff is awful.. Asked office to call back and they don't. Doctor came back and had no apologies, just defensive responses. She said she turned papers in before she left but we had already called the insurance and nothing was on file. She said she had a backup doctor in place but he got COVID the 2nd week of her trip. I asked why didn't her office know that important information. They lied again. Then one day the office calls and says they no longer carry your moms insurance. Called insurance company and again they lied. She just dropped my mom. Asked for it in writing. Nothing. Great if you need your vitals taken. Nothing else. Protect your loved loves! read more

I called the Doctors office to schedule an annual check up and also to have a cough taken a look at since I was already there. THEY confirmed that my insurance would cover the cost of care and I would not be out of pocket. Two months after my service I get a bill in the mail for $105.10 because they missed billed my insurance. Spoke to the billing company they use and they simply said this is whats owed and thats it. I have no problem paying the bill if they told I would have been out of pocket for it. If they cant get billing right for me I cant trust them to take care of my health. I've been a patient of Dr. Ghevariya for several years. I have had multiple appointments with her at her office. In person, Dr. Ghevariya did not engage much or ask a lot of questions. I'm amazed by the accounts of others that she is warm and comforting. In my experience, I had to bring all of my issues to her and she did not inquire much on her own. I diagnosed myself with Sleep Apnea and it took at least five months to get the necessary appointments and equipment prescribed. The biggest issues were with her follow-up. Faxes got lost. Essential communication didn't happen. I waited 3 months to get results because they lost the results of my sleep study. And I was the person chasing them down to do anything. Sleep apnea can be deadly and I can only imagine what a person would go through with a more fast moving, life-threatening illness. She began monitoring my cholesterol but her office would never send the paperwork for me to get tested. I would show up at appointments and they wouldn't have the results. They would still bring me in and bill me for her time, despite not having any information. She would leave me in the room, while they would go and look for my paperwork, then come back empty-handed. Then they wouldn't follow-up with the information in a timely manner, unless I repeatedly called them. In short, I had to wrestle with them to get any issues diagnosed or addressed. I would call the office with questions and they would take days to get back to me. Sometimes, they wouldn't call back at all. I've finally had enough. They set two appointments in a row to review blood tests but never sent the paperwork to get the tests done. They would call me to confirm appointments, which I would decline and reschedule, giving them more time to send the documents. After the second confirmation call, I fired them and I'll be looking for a new doctor. read more

I appreciate the time Dr. Ghevariya spends with me, she is always very informative, answers my questions and help put together a plan in place for my health. My husband, myself and our older children see her and we are very pleased with her bedside manner and compassion towards her patients. Staff is helpful and does their best to schedule you according to your request, they are pleasant on the phone and follow up with you to ensure things are complete. I do not have to wait long for my appointments and staff is attentive to making sure you have everything you need upon check out. I am amazed. First of all I had a consultation in October and Dr. Ghevariya went over the entire procedure and what to expect. I made an appointment for January. I went in and they took me right away. 3 people took care of me in the prep stages and they constantly verified that it was me and my DOB. Next I was rolled in. The procedure was to be a 9:30 but I was already prepped and ready to go at 9:05. The gave me a medium anesthetic. Dr. Ghevariya conversed with me before hand, confirming our meeting in October and the procedure and what to expect. I was alert during the entire procedure and watched it on the screen next to me. It was fascinating. I was reeled back, my sister was brought in, Dr. Ghevariya came in and explained everything and will be sending me a full, written report, and I was ready to go. He handed me a copy of the pictures he took recommendations, instructions, restrictions on driving, activity and diet, what to expect if I have discomfort and what to do if I have complications. I found the entire procedure flawless and professional starting with the offices confirming my appointment and insurance the day before, the receptionist going over everything that I was signing, the 3 medical prep staff, the doctor, the procedure, the recovery, the explanation, review and information. The absolute worst. She sent me to the lab for some testing, which included a swab test. I arrived and they asked, "where's the swab?" She had not done the swab test. Back to Dr. Ghevariya, I am handed a clean swab with no instruction on how to collect a specimen. Back to the lab. Back to Dr. Ghevariya, talked her into collecting the specimen, you know, like it's her job to do. She then refuses to let me take the swab back over to submit with my bloodwork, and now I'm stuck paying two copays for two separate lab invoices. They gave me the run around, played dumb, and the doctor seems perfectly happy not to do any of the actual work of being a doctor. read more

Ample parking, easy access to the office with my wheelchair. There is a pharmacy and lab within the building! Dr. Ghevariya took time to listen to my concerns (I have just more than a few) and answered them the way that put me to comfort. My girlfriend is also her patient. My medications are being refilled online and its great to have a pharmacy nearby. The wait time is reasonable and I felt she spent enough time during each visit. read more
