This morning, I was on the hunt for an evening gown that I need for a special event tomorrow. After calling around town and throughout Beverly Hills to the "she-she" designer stores, trying to strategize what I expect will be an insane shopping day from hell, I finally called Neiman Marcus and was connected to the lovely Silvia. Over the phone and without hesitation, she asked for my size, price point, colors/styles I liked and promptly went to work, offering to sort through their collections and find a few options she thought I might like. But then the most amazing thing...she offered to text them to me...that's right, TEXT them to me so I didn't have to drive 40+ miles away to see what they might have. I haven't even left my house yet, but with this level of customer service, I will absolutely haul myself out there now. Fingers crossed I find what I need. I usually don't leave negative reviews unless the place has really done something to make my experience horrible. Even then I will still go back to give them a second or third sometimes fourth try before I leave a negative review. However with Neiman Marcus I am totally fed up now. My mom and I shop here often and I'm really tired of the Women who "work "in the second-floor dress department. We bought A dress to wear for New Year's Eve hung it in the closet New Year's Eve comes around to wear the dress and the dress was the wrong size. I look at the receipt I bought the right size but the dress that was given to us was the wrong size. So that was the first thing that was upsetting My mom couldn't wear the dress that Was bought. I then brought it back to Neiman Marcus today so that I could return the dress considering She did not wear it and all the tags are attached and so forth, I go upstairs there is a "manager "by the name of Laura Who I have to say is one of the rudest people I've ever met my entire life. She should really reconsider her entire career in customer service considering she has no smile on her face and does not know how to talk to people. We were explaining to her that the dress was bought we need to return it because it's big she constantly told us that she cannot return the dress without a receipt we gave her phone number his name is everything she supposedly could not find our dress in the system. We told her to please connect us with the manager she said that she's the only manager. So then we told her to connect us with HER manager specifically she walked away from us we waited about 10 minutes another customer service lady Stood behind me opening a box to show something to another customer and hit my back while I was sitting not only did she do it one time but she did it three times. I turned around and looked at her giving her kind of the side smile like I'm sitting here. But nothing changed. As I stood up I asked her if she could please help us she got on her cell phone started talking and stuck her index finger telling us to wait and walked away while she was on her phone. So then a lady by the name of Yolanda came to help us who is literally The nicest lady ever. She came she asked us what happened, offered us water, she then saw that indeed we had bought a size 8 in the dress however a size 10 was given to us. She realized that my mother was quite upset because nobody was helping her and everybody was giving her attitude she calmly spoke to my mom calming her down so that she won't be upset and told her "we got this, don't worry about it I'll help you" Yolanda was one of the nicest customer service managers I have ever met. Thank you Yolanda for helping my mom out we really appreciate it however as for Laura and the other lady with the black hair. They should literally be fired for their rudeness. When you go to Neiman Marcus you expect the service to be equivalent to the expensive clothes that they sell, this is why I'm not going to Macy's. The best woman's bra department I've ever been to. I got a special invitation to get a fitting from the Neiman Marcus cosmetics bag event and I'll have to say .. they were amazing and I highly recommend their department. I love love love the bras that I got. They are pricey...but I only both two and I will never need any others. I really don't know how to describe how great it feels to have a perfect fit, because I've never had one until now. I love shopping Italian brands, so I went to this store and I bought some items as a gift and they told me that if you buy $200 you will get $50 back or if you buy $400 you will get $100 back. (Neiman Marcus $50 off $200 & $100 off $400 including Beauty and Fragrances) so I bought around $837 for a birthday gift. they told me I would receive $200 in a few weeks and it's been 2 months that I didn't receive anything. however, I called and now they say you would receive $50. what a customer service it needs to be mention on the Guinness World Records. Bridget Reynolds is the most professional, most polite, most accommodative, most informed Neiman associate I've met in a long time! Met her in handbags where she walked me through all of the product lines that I showed interest in. She quickly picked up my hurried vibe and ran with it. Yes she showed me brands that I didn't ask about but I could tell that it was for my benefit, not hers. I said thanks and told her I needed to move on to shoes. She said, "I can help you with anything in the store". My defenses went up and I was like, no I got it. But I decided to let her help me. What a treat that was! I felt like a pauper telling her that I only wanted to spend a few hundred on shoes and she played along. It was actually fun. It was like a game for her and I to find shoes under $600-950! He helped me order the shoe through them and kept in updated on the order status through text message. Neiman Marcus being a high end retail store, you would expect exceptional customer service and personable employees. In much deceit, I am appalled by the horrific experience I had with my friend yesterday. Having 10+ years in customer service experience myself (including retail) I have had the utmost respect for all clients and customers as well has more sympathy for employees who work hard to keep their customers happy. My friend and I were there to purchase perfume for our bosses birthday and Jennifer and a couple of other employees were more than delightful. Unexpectedly we stumbled upon the brand Cle De Peau and wanted to try the product to see if it worked for us as well as my friends sister. UNFORTUNATELY, Cle de Peau needs to hire a new ambassador to represent the brand. Nazy or Nazan, was there to "help" us but all she did was offend us by the lack of customer service skills. When asking Nazan to apply the new product of foundation on my face, she simply stated " I will apply the foundation to whoever will purchase it". I surely was not committed on purchasing a product I haven't tried nor do I know anyone on this planet who would. My friend politely replied that if she liked it she will purchase it. At that point I was completely stunned that someone in customer service would make such an offensive remark. When talking more about the product, my friend stated that it may be similar to a tinted moisturizer and Nazan stated "OH WOW NO THAT IS SUCH AN Insult!"... eventually we realized that all Nazan wanted to do is make commission. She could care less about applying the skin care line on my friends face. When asking her to first give us make up remover to remove my friend make up she continues to make streaks of make up on her face without wiping first. ADDITIONALLY, she didn't even try to apply it she would just dab her face and ask my fiend to use her finger to spread foundation. Who does that? If you don't try the product how can you purchase it? And how do you apply a 250 foundation on someone without wiping their make up. We also asked her to try several colors, and when we realized it's going to be difficult to decide on a color because she has a tan and it's better if she comes back later, Nazan replied "I'm confused what do you want?". Instead of being respectful, helpful and genuine Nazan just proved she was just trying to make commission. Shortly after we told her it wasn't going to work she exclaimed that we can purchase lingerie, perfume and anything we want from her. We smiled, said thank you and walked away but that has been the most disappointing experience I've ever encountered in my life. That left a mark, not sure when I'll be back Neiman. read more

I am soooo furious with Newman Marcus - my husband purchased me. $500 gift card at the store for my birthday. I just went to use it online and it's has a zero balance. I call the service number on the back , wait on hold for 25 mins to tell me that there was originally $500 on it but it was used in a store in NJ almost 2 years ago. I have NEVER been to NJ and I have the card in my possession in Los Angeles, CA. According to the rude customer service rep, I am told "oh well, so sad"...this is a complete outrage! Outrageous! Horible service. I've been here three times and every single time I've had horible service. The ladies at the floor don't want to be bothered and gave different reasons as to why they could not tend to us - I can't leave my area when there where two ladies standing there doing nothing. I went here to pay a credit card bill for a friend who lives oveseas and has had trouble accessing their online payment system. The customer service folks were all very nice and very attentive. The minus two stars are because the prices are beyond ridiculous. They sell this Tom Ford cologne and the stuff smells like something you'd find at the 99 cent store! haha I looked at some ties - all ranging from $150-200. I hadn't been to this location before but I knew they had the sunglasses I wanted so I specifically drove out of my way to come here. I waited in the sunglass area for 10 minutes without anyone asking for help. I then wandered around the makeup area seeing if someone could help me but either they were busy or no one was at the counters. You can't try on sunglasses without an associate to help so I continued to look for someone to help me. I ended up walking into the Chanel boutique but the two associates were so engrossed in their own conversation they couldn't be bothered to greet the only customer to walk into the boutique. I did 2 laps around the small area before I decided to interrupt them and even then I got blank stares as I asked a question about the sunglasses area. I was then told an associate would be over to help me back in the sunglasses area and they never came! I ended up being in Neimans for a half hour with no customer service help and leaving without the product I came for, Chanel sunglasses priced over $400 which I ended up buying from a Chanel boutique elsewhere. I am upgrading my review to 3 stars instead of 1 because when I came back through a very helpful Chanel rep from the UPSTAIRS boutique helped me out. Really disappointed with the two times I've visited this store. First time I bought a dress for my gf and was really upset with the whole experience, and today I bought some cosmetics to gift to someone and I was even more disappointed. I've spent nearly $1000 in this place, and I never feel any respect or concern from the staff in regards to the way they treat me. First of all, they don't accept Visa or Mastercard, which as the commercial goes... is ACCEPTED EVERYWHERE! The store clerk told me that the CEO of Neiman Marcus and Visa/Mastercard don't get along and therefore they don't accept those cards. Seriously... if that's true, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard? Is this place ran by a 12 spoiled brat? Regardless of the real reason, it's totally ridiculous that they don't accept either Visa or Mastercard. They ONLY accept American Express, and they act like YOU'RE crazy that you don't have an American Express card. So I was shopping for two products, both were about $100 each and of course one of them they didn't have in stock at the counter. So the sales lady wanted me to guarantee her... guaran-freaking-tee her that I was FOR SURE going to buy the product, BECAUSE she "had to go all the way in back to check, and she didn't want to do that unless I was absolutely going to buy it". WTF!? When did you get so lazy, that you now had to make customers guarantee you that they were going to spend money with you before you would make them happy and get the product they wanted? Seriously... I felt like I was in a bad dream. So, today (and any day for that matter) I only had Visa/Mastercard, zero cash... and a desire to spend money. I couldn't... because of the stupid fact that they don't accept the credit cards that I and everyone else on earth use. The salesperson suggest I write a check or use cash... I have neither (what dude carries checks these days... seriously?!), and after I told the sales person I had zero cash she suggested I run to the other side of the mall... and emphasized the run part, because they were closing in 5 minutes. So because I'm also in a rush to get this gift I had to sprint across the mall, find a bank of america ATM and then sprint back only to *try* and be shutdown by some entrance nazi who wanted to tell me I could no longer enter the store because they were closed. This review is for the women's shoe department customer service. THE WORST! I literally felt like crying, and had to sit down. I went to pick up some UGGs that I ordered, because originally I exchange them bcuz the chestnut color is so different. If you work in the shoe department MR. CHAOKAT HIJAZI you should know that, UGG no longer makes their product in Australia. They are made in China, and are totally different from the material to the color. I was just hoping that maybe an original pair was out there, since my daughter happened to get the original on the same order, when I placed the first time. Well this guy began arguing with me, saying that they were the same and that it was the lighting and said that I didn't know what I was talking about. So I asked what he can do to help me, and he walked away!!!! I'm assuming he didn't want to help me because it wasn't his sale originally. He works on commission. Today was the last time I step into or ever spend money in this store again. The numerous times I've gone into the store its always the same thing. Not one word or greeting from any of the employees. Walked into both the LV and Gucci section with my son in stroller and not once did an associate even greet me. Just looked at me then looked away. In the LV store an associate was behind the counter and around the corner, made eye contact with me but didn't even bother to come out and greet me. Time and time again the sales associates in the store remind me that they think I am too tanned/brown/ethic for their store. Even just walking through the store not one associate said hello or acknowledged my son or me. Glad there is an actual LV store less than 50 feet away from here. They were very professional and helpful. I was happy to give them my hard earned "brown money". And one day, a man came into that department looking for a suit of wool. But he made a peculiar discovery; the department was deserted! This is very strange, the man thought. He wandered through all the racks for many minutes, and looked at all the clothes, and couldn't find anything he liked. LOVE my Neiman's in the Topanga mall in Woodland Hills. EVERY time I've shopped there, the sales staff could NOT have been nicer, or more accommodating. Ok, maybe I go there so often that they know I'm a shopaholic, but, having admitted to that, I don't always buy something.....! Yes, it is much smaller than the BH store, but, I actually prefer the more relaxed vibe this store offers. Whenever I go there, I am ALWAYS treated with a smile, and a lot of respect. As far as the LV boutique goes, the sales people are super informative and very friendly... and on the occasion that I have returned a handbag, there was not one bit of rudeness... I love the Chanel handbag boutique as well, and, on occasion, I have seen a bit of snobbery, but I think that must be due to the high end element of the brand... Chanel, is, well, CHANEL!!! IMHO, the occasional snobbery is eluded more from some of the customers shopping there, than from the sales staff!!!! The shoe dept. is one of my faves, and if they don't have what I want, they will most certainly try to find it... Yes, it is expensive, but, if you're in Louboutin, YSL, Prada and Chanel territory, what do you expect??? Walter is my shoe king. My friends and I came in looking like crapola, hoping to find a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes for a gift. He was more than helpful and made us feel like we belonged in NM. (when in all actuality, i would never spend more than $100 on shoes on myself.) I didn't have any complaints against NM until an associate at Gucci sold me a scratched up continental wallet. She ordered a "new" one and told me that it was going to be delivered in a week or so. I paid the entire amount and patiently waited. I got my wallet in about 2 weeks and the whole thing was such a complete mess. She even had the audacity to put it into an old box that wasn't even the original box that the continental wallet came with. So disappointed. Love this store! Be sure to ask for Karo in the shoe department. I purchased a pair of slippers from another associate about a week ago. They are a pair of Chanel's that I already wore and damaged. I thought they were a little small and wanted to exchange them for a larger size. I went in today and the sales associate that originally helped me was not working. Karo assisted me and offered me an exchange even though I had already worn them. When I tried on the larger size, the shoe was too big for me. Karo spent 20 minutes in the back with my original pair of Chanel's stretching them out for me and now they fit wonderfully! Such a big help! I was in the Louis Vuitton section around closing time making a purchase and they wouldn't let me walk through the mall entrance. I had to walk outside in the cold to another entrance to the mall. He remembered my sister and I while we were walking thru the store lastnite and offered to give us "Valentines lips!" Of course! Let's play make up! Everyone at the counter was super nice.
