I have heard about Nelly's for over a year and we finally ate there the other day for my early birthday lunch. We both had the supreme strombolis and cheese cake for dessert. Both were fantastic. Wow, this is great pizza. I got two Larges (not the XL) for $17-24 each, and 2 pieces filled me up...I had 12 pieces left! Loved the quality of the ingredients used, the sauce, and the amount used, especially for The Supreme, allow me to elaborate. 1. The Supreme ($24) -- Pepperoni, Ham, Beef, Sausage, breathe, Zucchini, Squash, Onions, Spinach, Mushrooms, Green and Black olives. That's a whole lotta pie, and about an 1" thick. I loved it, and the sauce was fantastic. My least love was the crust, a hand-tossed medium thick crust that held up well, but didn't have much taste. (4.5 stars) 2. The Hawaiian ($17) -- Quality ham and plenty of it, with pineapple. Very good. I got these "to go". It's a bit of a letdown inside, with a narrow hall and 6 booth tables. After all, they have a really fancy sign, I expected a full-service nice restaurant. I like the menu. Mostly pizzas, but salads, fried zucchini (my fav), garlic knots, lasagna, pastas, chick parm, calzones, and stromboli's. New York style? Everyone says so, but I've been to NY for "za", and I don't think so. Would I go back for pizza "to go" here? Heck yes. read more

Heard some positive things about Nelly's and made the drive from Franklin. Quant little place, that reminds me of the pizza places in the Northeast. Staff was great, and the pizza was thin, tasty and piping hot. Cannoli's were excellent too! We will certainly be back and hopefully they will be some grandma pizza. i hate doing this especially with the virus. Pizza was ok at best. We got a whole pie, crust soggy. no social distancing, people on top of me and my wife. we got out of there as soon as we could and discustd we exposed ourselves like we did. so many other places are doing a great job with the virus. And they are one of those places that they want their tip before you get no service. don't ever tip until after you get service if you are lucky. read more

Response to Nelly's reply... No Nelly...you never did apologize. As a business owner why would YOU ever tell any of your customers, "shame on you?" Your attitude was not that of "victim status", like your review tries to imply. As well, I was NOT "so upset" like you claimed. This is food...nothing more. Please don't project your actions onto your customers. This wasn't the first time that I experienced your wrath...I have been in two times prior when I was witness to your cruelty and one specifically, you told your employees that, "no one is allowed to talk to me right now"....hence, the reason for my review. I guess the third time was the charm for me. In fact the lady that was directly behind me stated that this is, "typical behavior of Nelly". (Again, not my words). What I get upset about is the fact that I was given a time to be there yet you failed to meet it even after I spent 1 hr & 25 min waiting...however, I do appreciate the girl that works for you and her honesty when she finally advised me that my order was never put in until the time I was told to arrive.....I also didn't appreciate the fact that you said to me, "Well, when we say 45 min, we really mean an hour or more". And to be clear, I was never looking for anything for free. If I buy a service...then, I pay for said services. So, let's make that crystal clear. But your claim that you refunded my monies...as of today 11/21/21, I have yet to see any refund to my account. So to claim that I am not being truthful, would be a lie on your part...not mine. Maybe you can take from this review a bit of constructive criticism on how to better yourself personally and professionally. My wife and I went to Nelly's for the first time this past Saturday based on the recommendation of a friend. Maybe it is age at this point but the young lady at the counter acted as if she rather be anywhere but work. OK We went because you can actually order a slice which seems to be a rarity in the area but I am spoiled everywhere I have lived has had a non-chain pizzeria where slices ruled. While looking the menu board everything but the slices had pricing which I found a bit annoying. Nelly's is doing what I call modified table service in like many of the casual chains. Order, pay, get a number and then wait at the table. The salad arrived quickly and the four slices of pizza my wife and I order were not far behind so point for speed. I was nice to see true pizza ovens not the forced air convection conveyor belt oven like the chains have. The slices were massive and flavorful. We did look at the menu at the table (but since they don't take your order at the table it seems pointless) and saw the desert selection (see picture). I might have gotten desert but like I said it might be age at this point but I am just not going to get up go to the counter again and have to pay again. If I am going to have desert at that point I am probably going elsewhere. Nelly's is good but not great but they could be. If I could I would do three and half stars but I can't so I will round up. read more

They serve the most authentic New York style pizza I've found in the South, after moving here from New Jersey. Even the layout of the place with the pre-made cafeteria style items and the crisp crust of reheated pizza slices are just as I remember from Jersey. That said, the pizza was just Okay, and it was fairly pricey. For lunch I had a stromboli, a slice of pepperoni, and a fountain drink which came to $15. Based on the quality of the food and the interior of the Cafe I would have expected closer to $10. Bottom line, it's great for a taste of real NY Style pizza especially if you're in a hurry and not price sensitive. However, there are several better pizza places in Spring Hill. read more

Its a shame I loved this place but when I got a slice and there were rocks in it and it cracked my teeth it wasn't fun at all. Co-workers brought me here for lunch when in Columbia for a meeting. Ordered promptly. I had the lunch special Double Crust Meat-Lover slice. Which was highly recommended on the way there. Apparently very popular as I got the last slice. Order brought to table after minimal wait. My "slice" took up a significant portion of 2 paper plates overlapping. Rarely have I run across a single slice of pizza filling enough to only need 1, but this did just that. Restaurant itself is pretty small with limited crowded seating. They claim this to be authentic New York Pizza, sorry but no. I grew up in Baltimore, I've been to New York numerous times, I know New York pizza. The dough tasted like it was sitting in the fridge 3 or 4 days before it was cooked. When I ordered, a simple order two slices of cheese pizza, the young lady took two slices of pizza out from under the counter below her waistline. No telling how long it's been sitting there!
