I really have to say I have mixed feelings about this place. The food is great I really enjoy it. But it just seems like the staff is giving minimal effort. The salads are prepared way ahead of time and stuck in a cooler in plastic containers. The pizza we ordered was tasty but no way it should have taken 45 minutes for a dine in Pizza. Went because of the great reviews. I was disappointed. The garlic knots were drowning in oil and covered in raw garlic to the point it burned our mouths. We had to wipe the garlic off just to eat them. The calzone was dry on top, not brushed with anything. All the stuffings were in the very middle. There was a very thick edge of crust all around. The lasagna was descent but hard to tell because of the overwhelming taste of garlic in my mouth from the knots. But it was completely smothered in sauce. The tiramisu was good but we got it to go and ate it later after the garlic taste wore off. I think it was the best part of the meal. We were able to get right in and find a seat on a Thursday night at 7, which surprised me considering the reviews. I should have taken that as a sign. Everything was served on paper plates, not decent ones, cheap paper plate. With the prices, you would think they could spring for at least a little better. All in all, don't bother. I could be very wrong about the pizza but it looked way over priced. read more

OK, well I have to start off to say but the pizza is great, it is the closest to New York style that I've had since living in New York. The restaurant is little but I think it's perfect for its location. Their menu selection has plenty to choose from, and their new Italian market is like a mini version of Pastosa (you New Yorkers will know what I mean). I'm going with four stars instead of five because my garlic knots although fantastic came out pretty darn cold and the restaurant has no napkins or utensils stocked where they're supposed to be you have to ask. Other than that no complaints and I can't wait to come back and try am white pie. Ok I update from the stars for 4 to 5, this place deserves it, the staff and the food are fantastic. Everything I've had there is amazing. They have the best pizza in town. My only complaint is that their hours make no sense. Why close at 8 on Friday and Saturday? I understand being closed Monday, but they would do a ton of business on Sunday. read more

Not the cheapest pizza in the world, but man do you get what you pay for. This is some of the best pizza I've had.

I've tried this place twice, the first time was when it first opened and honestly it wasn't good. I ate inside with my wife for dinner, the restaurant wasn't crowded but was incredibly cramped, dirty and filthy. The pizza wasn't great, it tasted like it was out of the box with frozen ingredients added. Fast forward several months, we got a take out pizza and 4 cannolis. All I can say is wow. The pizza is your true New York style, thin crust, dripping cheese masterpiece. I've not tasted pizza that fresh and filling in a long time. I ordered the extra large (18") pizza with pepperoni and cheese. On a side note, this pizza is gigantic and the slices are massive, both qualities I can appreciate. And the cannoli? Amazing. Do yourself a favor and abandon the local chain pizza shop and pick up a pie here. The only downfall is it does take around 30-45 minutes before you can enjoy your pizza so order accordingly and timely. But then again, a pizza like this deserves the wait. read more

Nelly's is pretty much everything you want in a local pizza shop. Pizza by the slice. Stromboli. Cannolis and tiramisu. It's all delicious. Pizza is as close as you can get to New York pizza, if not the same thing. Very small dining area. Recommend carry-out during busy hours. read more

If you haven't eaten at Nellie's you're really missing out. My wife and I both got a strombonie or calzone I'm not sure which, but they were both big enough to feed two people and we're absolutely delicious, the best I've ever. they have lasagna, spaghetti, eggplant parmesan, chicken parmesan, and pizza by the slice. It all looked delicious. We took a couple of cannolis home (we left the gun) and they were fantastic. The the people including Nelly, were super nice which is as important as the quality of the food, just ask Chick-fil-A. I don't know what I'll try next time, but I know, as Arnold would say, I'll be back. read more

I haven't been here in sometime but I like the new design although it was a little hard to determine if people where waiting to pick up or place orders. So for the food it was served from a steam table buffet and came quickly but all 3 in my party reported warm pasta not hot which of course effects the taste and we where surprised after paying 1.99 per drink that the unsweetened ice tea was out of order so we drank water. Listen, this is really a 3 star review, but I feel obligated to recognize the fact that this is a Pizza place and I didn't eat pizza. So I'll round up. The alfredo sauce was under seasoned and a little blank. On the other hand, the stromboli was a little salty. One thing I did note is that the ingredients all appeared to be of the highest quality and fresh, and there's something to be said about that. This is my new favorite place in Spring Hill. My friend and I had our lunch there. It was such a nice experience! I always knew this place was there but never tried until today! Oh boy! Was once a fan of this place...has now turned into a complete disappointment. This is a small town, family restaurant. You would think staff AND OWNER would compliment the small town feel of the place and greet customers with a "welcome", "thank you" or at least a smile...not...so...much. The last several times have proven why I won't go back. Nelly herself was, by far, the most rude. Heard her tell staff to "not talk to her"...and on a separate visit, when I said hello to her, (of which, I didn't even know she was the owner, I just always thought she was a rude and unhappy employee), she looked through me as though I was beneath her. We arrived just before closing time and had no idea... we never felt rushed or like we were inconveniencing anyone. This place truly cares about customers and customer service.
