Highly recommend! Not only for its price but everyone is extremely friendly! I made an appointment the first time and was serviced quickly! But if you're in a rush, I recommend scheduling an appointment since I waited 15-20 min for walk-in. Plus, depending on who you get as your waxer, they text you a reminder when it's time to come back (usually every 4.5 weeks), which is super helpful!

I was taking a last minute weekend getaway. And needed waxing done asap. I called the # listed here. No answer available but received a text within a few minutes of my call. Asking I respond to the text with what type of service and when I'd like to come for my visit. My text was responded back quickly & Mona was able to accommodate my last minute wax appt. Went to my wax appt & met up w Mona, who's really sweet. Mona made mee feel so comfortable. And kept asking if i was ok? Along if the wax was ok, not too hot. She offers threading too. FYI. Prepping was great and the finishing off. I left feeling fresh & clean. Definitely recommend Mona. I see a lot of reviews for her also on here and she seems really likable. One of the go to wax specialist.

Emily is a miracle worker! I arrived at my appointment a bit late and she was so understanding and accommodating. She was very professional but also very kind and warm, making me feel comfortable with every step of my Brazilian & underarm wax. There's no way to beat $30 Brazilian wax & FREE underarms with a service. The total at other wax places would easily be $75-90. Once I got home I was able to see just how thorough my wax was, she didn't rush or leave hairs behind, yet got me in & out in only about 35 minutes. I'll definitely be back despite the long drive for me! read more

Beyond satisfied with this place!! Made my appointment kinda last minute on a Wednesday; requested for Friday around 5pm. Requesting the appointment was a total breeze. Called first but in their voicemail recording said if I TEXT the same number I'd get a faster response. So I did! Boy were these ladies quick ! Emma was the first to get back to me via text with the time I wanted PLUS other slots (just in case I wanted to get in earlier or later). The price is AMAZING for the QUALITY & EXCELLENT service/results I received. Only got full legs and Brazilian with Emma. She did a spatular job. Great conversationalist - zero awkwardness. Great place! Very affordable and also caters to men for a low increase in price compared to women's services. Brazilian waxes for women are only $20. Armpits are free! Waxing definitely hurts for me, but the process is fast (about 15 minutes), and they always do a great job! On Mondays, they are currently only open to appointments. However, on all the other days they take both appointments and walk-ins. There is always a lot of parking in the lot. They're great, and I've become a regular at Nena's Waxing. Reviewing from my wax in February 2021. I'll start by saying this: if you want a cheap wax, come here- it's just what you're looking for! But otherwise, I just can't recommend this place. I've already told everyone I know to avoid it. First off, I said to the waxer "I only want hard wax" she said that would be fine but it would be an up charge. No problem, I'm willing to pay more, I don't like strip wax. Then she said "actually how about I do the top and sides with strip wax then I'll do the middle with the hard wax" she kept going on about how the hair removes better with the strip wax and at that point I said "sure, that's fine." I've been waxing for 10 years, I've had tons of different experiences. I can handle a strip wax, I just don't prefer it. I'm not sure why she kept pushing it, but ultimately it just felt awkward so I gave in. She proceeded to wax me but asked me to "butterfly with my bottom up" so that my bottom was off the table. "It's just a better angle so I can make sure to get it all" Can you even imagine how uncomfortable this is?! It was the strangest wax I've ever had and honestly, she was terrible at it. Again, if you want a cheap wax Nena's is for you, but I'm looking for more finesse. read more

My fav wax place ever. I drive all the way from LA to go to this little shop in Brea. So worth the drive. Nena is very sweet and kind, so easy to talk to. She is more importantly very skilled at her waxing. It's as painless and easy and Brazilian waxes can be. They also remove any ingrowns for free. Underarm waxes are free as well so I pop in from time to time if I'm in the area. I wish she was located in LA! read more

Does not really smile and she is unfriendly. I like service with a smile. So just saying. She also is so worried about risk, liability and complaints that she is vague about any question you ask her--even general questions. I have been there about 20 times in the past 6 years and each time I go, I sense a disconnect and scorn from her for no reason. I dont get it. I give my business to a lot of people, and have good relations with anyone I give my money to. My usual tip is between 20 to 30% --but when I go there, I just dont feel like tipping anymore. Each time I hope to see a glimmer of customer service from her, and each time I am disappointed. I even told her it was my birthday the next day, and she said NOTHING. Totally dismissive of my requests or comments and non-communicative. She needs a lesson in setvice with a smile and communication. Meh. She also it seems tries to price gouge a bit when she can. It is noticeable when she forgets that she has quoted a different price before. Walked away a bit unhappy with the attitude, not necessarily her "work".

Sammy did both my pedicure and gel manicure. It had been over 6 months since I've got to get my nails done (mother's passing made this the last thing on my mind). Sammy had her hands full to say the least but was very kind and took their time. As I was driving down YL Blvd a few mornings ago,the Blush sign caught my eye. I did a quick Yelp search, saw all the stars and called the shop. I asked if they were taking new clients, and the lady who answered the phone said Yes, and that I could get in right then if I wanted. I was so happy and a wonderful lady named Terry gave me the best haircut I have had in forever! After a brief consultation, She knew exactly how to cut and style my hair and I walked out feeling like a New Woman ! Terry is a literal answer to prayer. Next week I am going to get my nails done there at her recommendation and I am super excited about that!

Emily ended up doing my nails, and she actually stayed past closing to finish them. I'm so grateful she did because this is honestly one of my favorite gel manicures I've ever gotten. I brought in a photo for inspiration and Emily recreated it beautifully -- I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. I also want to mention that the reason I had to wait longer was because Emily was finishing up another client before me that ended up taking about two hours total. While I was there, I unfortunately witnessed that client leave in a way that seemed like Emily was still trying to collect payment for the work she had just done. I could see the disappointment on her face, and it really stuck with me. As someone who works in healthcare, I know how it feels when people overlook the effort and care that goes into the work we do. I just wanted to send some good karma her way for the hard work she clearly puts into her craft. Despite that situation, Emily stayed completely professional, finished my nails beautifully, and went above and beyond by staying late. That kind of dedication deserves recognition. I couldn't believe someone could mess up such a basic manicure request, but I just couldnt leave, especially after how much I had already paid & because I never do manicures only pedicures, but I did this one time for my birthday trip. Emily was very sweet about fixing it & it was 100% much better!

i have been getting waxed with nina for almost 4 years now ~ she is a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!! ~ ***nina has been waxing for 30+ years now and in my opinion is one of best in the whole biz!!!!!!!!!! you can't' beat getting a front-to-back brazilian wax for $20 (no coupon or "deal" required people) - fyi she also does my underarms at no extra cost just because she is that nice... i recently have been out of work and i have to beg her to take a tip from me now too! she is honest and kind - you will feel like you have been friends with both her and nicole the first time you meet them!!! i read that 3 star review below me and cannot believe that this person gave that review - for $20 who can even complain??? i have been waxed by nicole twice now and she may not be as fast as nina but she was trained personally by her and i was one of the very many clients that nicole helped and observe nina wax when she had first started. nina is very professional and selective on who she will train and vouch for-so in my opinion nicole is definitely great waxier too! nina is so honest that she will not wax your face even if you paid her $100 - she will tell you to go and get it threaded or bleached because waxing your face causes it to stretch and sag (you can't really exercise your face either..)if you want, nina will also order you the special wax she uses, bleach, and other supplies to do your own touch ups at home + show you how/what to do. she will warn you though because we aren't pros' and trust me - it isn't easy at all and its super time consuming! ~ if you let her know when you schedule your appointment - she will bleach certain areas for you too! (don't know how much but i'm sure she is super reasonable) i have not used any of the other services at jon colby's salon but i will say that the staff is super friendly and their prices are reasonable. they have complimentary drinks and snacks which is cool if you forget to bring your own and you have to be there a while ~ from what i know, the services they offer are: 1. waxing (nina and nicole of course) ie ~ the works -any/ every where except your face for women, teens and *men* (btw - it's so hard to find a waxier th at will wax a man in those special areas!!!) 2. hair (salon for women, men, & children) ie ~ cut, color, highlights, and extensions - the works! 3. nails (for women, men, & children) ie ~ the works - just ask. please keep in mind that i have not used the other services myself but like i said it's a super clean salon and the staff is great! - i live about 20 miles away and well worth the drive for me. thank you nina, nicole, and jon colby salon so much! ***happy, satisfied, and your customer forever ~ renee s. ~ please feel free to email me at noteviaemail@yahoo.com read more

I honestly can't begin to tell you how wonderful this woman is!! I had just moved to Orange County and was in search of a good waxing place for my Brazilian wax and after trying several places I finally found Nena and her Assistant Nicole through a good friend of mine and after reading her awesome reviews here on YELP - and almost giving up on waxing completely, she was my last hope. I swear I will never go Anywhere or to Anyone Else again!!! Nena is extremely gentle and knows what she's doing. She works out of a very nice hair salon called Jon Colby's Hair Salon and is very professional- Yes it's so true!!! *** Nena only charges $20! Her room is extremely clean and makes you feel extremely comfortable. She's very professional and takes the time to ask if you're doing ok or if you were feeling any discomfort and yet she was very fast at it too! Nena and Nicole are both very pleasant and friendly and they don't make you feel awkward at all. Coming to see Nena for my waxing needs was the best decision ever! She is so relaxed and calm, very professional. She uses two kinds of wax soft and hard wax (NO double dipping the wax sticks-very clean!) and it only hurts for a few seconds. She told me exactly what to expect beforehand and how to manage the area afterward too. I HIGHLY recommend Nena for waxing! Just remember to book appointment with enough times to let any redness (for sensitive skin) go away and that you have grown the hair out long enough for a clean wax! I was a little hesitant to try a new place, but after reading the reviews and getting quick responses from the business, I made an appointment with Elisa. When I arrived, I noticed they were quite busy, which is a good sign! I met Elisa, and she was super friendly and sweet. She made me feel at ease and began the waxing process. We had some laughs and really connected. I was surprised to find out how affordable it was to get a Brazilian waxing, plus they gave a complimentary underarms wax, which I didn't expect. The combination of soft and hard wax was something I wasn't expecting, and I was truly thrilled with the service and the experience. I only come here for waxing by Nena, Nicole, and Susan. Best waxs pros in OC. I've been going here since i was 18 and now well I'm old... haha. I was recommended here about a 2005 ago by my ex boyfriends sisters who swore by Nena's waxing skills. Let me just say...SHE WASN'T LYING! Nena is awesome at what she does and Susan is the best assistant in helping with the underarm waxing. Nicole is also Nenas apprentice before then she branched off. Still awesome by the way.They are super friendly and funny Women. They chat you up to distract from the pain and it really works. I always come out of there laughing at all the crazy topics we talk about in such a short amount of time. Bring cash!!!!!! $20 a pop. Tip them well. Its a bit of a drive but worth it. read more

If it's your first time getting waxed or you've been doing it for years, this IS THE PLACE TO GO!!! This was my first time at Nenas, I called when they opened on a Sunday and was able to get in one hour after they opened, no problem! You CAN NOT beat the price! $20 for a Brazilian wax and they even did my armpits for free! You also get a complimentary "clean-up" appointment 2-3 weeks later! They use a combination of soft & hard wax.. More sensitive areas they use the hard wax and the rest soft wax. They know what they're doing! It was a clean, easy, quick & the best price!! I've been coming to see Nena on and off for a couple of years now and always have the best service with her. However, the last few times I come in and am in the waiting room, the Asian waxer is always whispering to the other waxers and sometimes you can hear some of what she is saying and it's always about clients. This is UNPROFESSIONAL and makes me uncomfortable. The worst part is she doesn't always whisper! She's come out of her room questioning if clients have paid and sometimes the clients are still there. I love Nena, but I cannot give a 5 star rating for this reason. read more

This place is fantastic. The prices are almost unbelievable - $20 for a Brazilian and FREE - YES FREE - underarm waxing. AIl the staff are super friendly and they take walk ins! This is my second time there and both times I was lucky enough to get Nichole! She is GREAT, very friendly and upbeat and FAST!! I will definitely be calling ahead next time to make sure I get her! I've been going to Joncolby's for about 4 years now. I've gone through Nena,Sandy,Judy,Barbara,Christle,Nicole (the body waxer) and have gotten the best service from them than any salon I have EVER been to. I never liked women cutting my hair until I went through them and now I wouldn't have anyone else do it. Nena and Nicole are both incredible waxers. They make it quick and as painless as possible.
