I heard about this place from a local family that have been coming here for years. When I asked about this place, they had this huge smile as they described how good this place was. Right when I saw their facial expression, I knew I instantly had to try this place. Location: This place is a small shack that looks like a trailer. It is located on the same lot as a market. It is located off the 15 freeway on the 76. Off the exit, you have to take a right at the gas station and keep going until you see the market. Service: The service is good. They're nice. When I first arrived, there were three women gathered and they were talking in the kitchen. I waited about 2-3 minutes before they serviced me. Wait Line: I was lucky and there was no line for me. I came here at 6:30 pm on a Monday night. Menu/Food: The menu is very simple. There are only about 8-10 things on the menu. I ordered: *Nessy Burger ($5.50): Buns, meat, lettuce, cheese, 1000 island sauce and onions. The burger is good and BIG! I shared this burger with my sister and I was full! My husband even mentioned that the burger was big and he didn't even know how he finished it. All three of us were really impressed by the burger. My sister mentioned that it tasted like an In-n-out and Big Mac combined, which i agreed as well. I live in san diego and sped home (40 min drive) to eat it and it still tasted great! This is the second best burger. My favorite burger is from Shake Shack in NY. *Chili Cheese Fries ($5): The portion was average. They were quick to give us our food, and really clean and nice people great service but the food tasted very planned and it was missing flavor in my personal opinion. I had the breakfast burger came with egg in it, my husband had the double messy added bacon he thought it was a bit bland. They moved down the street to Old Hwy 395. Hopefully YELP will update soon. This place is very good. Not so good that I'd drive over 45 minutes from San Diego for it, but my co-worker lives out here and we decided to have a Rocky's/Nessy challenge. Last week we had Rocky's and of the half a dozen times I've been there, it wasn't as good as usual. Here's how they compare: Patty: Both seasoned very well. Rocky's will occasionally cook yours to order, but often times it's overdone. Nessy didn't ask. Both offer 1/2 pound patties, Nessy's seems MUCH larger. Despite being overdone, both patties are still juicy. For this specific taste test, winner: Nessy. But compared to previous visits, I would go with Rocky's. Bun: Nessy's has a sesame seed bun that fit the burger well, but mine was SOAKED with grease. Rocky's bun also has difficulty containing the patty, but I've never had mine soaked with grease. Winner: Rocky's. Toppings: Rocky's only offers cheese and onions (raw or grilled). Nessy's offers cheese, egg, chili AND special sauce (like In/Out). We had ours today with cheese and eggs, but the eggs were overcooked. Despite this, Winner: Nessy Fries: Nessy has crinkle fries which are my favorite and you can get cheese, chili, or both. PLUS, you have that delicious sauce as an option too. Rocky's are usually decent fries as well, but they're standard. Winner: Nessy So, it's pretty much a tie. Both places have solid burgers. However, considering the fact that Rocky's is less than 1 mile away and Nessy is 45 miles away, I'm gonna have to keep Rocky's as my numero uno go to. read more

After having passed this place tons of times, we had to stop finally because the word about it being so good was getting to the point where it was voted as one of the best of in the NC Times. Not sure what all the excitement was about though. The burger was a little dry, lacked flavor and nothing special. I've lived in Fallbrook on and off for the past 3 years as I still have a home in WA...and have heard people raving about this place..so recently I finally went and our order was all messed up..they wouldn't even give us our drink cups until they gave us our food..(which they forgot to give us even when they handed us our food) we were in a rush and as we got down the road we realized we never got our drinks so I called and they gave me a number to call and let them know..I spoke to some guy and he basically said well that's your fault for not asking for them (cups) and we explained our order was messed up (again he said it's our fault for not checking the order) never again will I go to this place!! Ive been wanting to check out this place for awhile now. The reviews are great and now I know why. The burgers are amazing, the party by itself is super good. We went on a Saturday so naturally the place was packed. We ordered our food then went next door to the grocery store and got drinks. The only thing I did not like was there wasn't enough seating. We had to wait for a table to open up. They have ketchup, mustard, and 1000 island dressing on the table to use. The fries were perfect. I personally love extra crispy fries and these were the right amount of crisp. The service was great, everyone was really nice. Would definitely come here again! read more

Well, I finally did it! I was driving by at lunchtime and hit the brakes! New location.... same trailer. Odd spot but WTH I'll try it. The first thing I notice is the line. It's 1:00 so it must be the end of the lunch rush. I also notice only canned soda and a rather meager selection. (More on this later) The second thing I notice is it's not cheap!! Don't come with a $5er in your pocket or you'll go hungry. Burger and fries (No drink) $10.37 While I wait I decide to trot my fat ass across the parking lot to the market and buy a soda that's a little more compatible with the meal than a 12oz can. I get back to find that they only called number 97 and I'm #3. CRAP! They crank out the orders rapidly and it's my turn before I know it. I go get it and they have two big squeeze bottles by the window for your fries with small plastic cups. One has ketchup and the other had their home made thousand island dressing.. It's REALLY good on the fries. Burger: Huge! It's a half pounder and from the looks of it that may be net weight AFTER cooking. It's pretty damn big! Comes with lettuce, onion, tomato (but not on mine!) and their own recipe thousand island dressing. Seemed really generic but it's pretty good. No frills.... one burger, The Nessy! Half pound... no bigger, no smaller. No bacon. American cheese only. I do have to say that it's a good burger. It's also big so come hungry! Fries: Crinkle cut! Big fries and they aren't afraid to fill the fry bag! Seems the one thing they are afraid of is salt. Not one grain on the fries but they have shakers on the tables so it's not too horrible. Just remember this helpful tidbit if you get them to go!! Outdoor seating only so take weather into account. If it's hot or snowing you may want to reschedule or plan on eating in the car. I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here but if I'm driving by at lunchtime and have $11 to burn I'm hitting the blinker!! This place is all hype. I grew up in Oceanside my whole life and heard great things about this place. So, after my family move to Fallbrook I decided to give it a try. The prices are kind of high for this food. The crinkle cut fries ($3.25) seem store bought and the burger ($6 something), while big wasn't that great. After reading all of the fabulous reviews on our way to Nessy's Burgers we were super excited! We had decided on our order without even seeing the establishment or the menu! Hubby ordered a Nessy Burger for himself and we got one for the boys to share, I ordered a Nessy Hot Dog and we all shared an order of chili cheese fries. We also decided I would run to the Mobil Station next door to grab some fountain sodas after reading they only have overpriced cans. Upon pulling up it was exactly as we had expected. We ordered, sat down and were digging it so far. My first disappointment came when I picked up our food at the window...squeezy cheese on my fries! Why take my favorite beautiful crinkle fries and what turned out to be excellent chili to ruin it all with processed gross squeezy cheese?? Next time I will get my fries plain and squirt some of the delicious 1000 island they have on the tables all over them. The burgers were good and my husband enjoyed his well enough, although he did say that the patty wasn't quite a divine as he expected after reading the Yelp reviews.
