I was supposed to view a property that this company manages. When I first schedule an appointment I made it clear that I have a very busy schedule with meetings in the morning that's why I won't be available till later. They scheduled me for another property first, had to call back to change this. Then called me to re-schedule for a different time, which we both agreed. Then on the same day, during my meeting which I told them already 4 times they re-scheduled my appointment time to my meeting time without my consent. Last minute they canceled the original meeting time. This company is not only unprofessional, but Maria Alemdares and her team is untrained and unprofessional. I would never let her manage my properties nor suggest her to any of my colleagues. read more

If I could leave a negative star, I would. Eleven years ago when Ron owned the business, my father was impressed by the way Nest Property reassured him that his property would be professionally and responsibly cared for. After Anna Estevez took over, the management of the property went down hill. This has taken me five months to write this review, and I would have written a worse review than the one I am writing now. I am also deciding whether to take legal action. The same family (or shall I say FAMILIES) rented our family home for 11 years. Throughout the time that they lived there, they would call Ron, and then later Anna, when something was broken, and my father would always give the okay. He kept in contact with Anna asking if yearly inspections were made, and she said they were. When my father passed away in 2023, I, as the executor, took the place of my father, and Anna dealt directly with me. I always responded quickly and paid for whatever repairs they needed. (heater, new tile floor, etc.) In the initial contract, there was a stipulation not to have multi families and pets in the home. If the yearly inspection was done, this would have been discovered by the Nest Property staff. After my father passed away, I had to have the property appraised. It was not my intention to sell the property, and we were going to keep renting the property. When I arrived with the appraiser, I could smell a strong odor of a dog. (and I saw a "pooper scooper" and dog feces in the back yard) I inquired about having a pet, and the tenant said no. Fast forward to late May 2025 when I had to prepare the home to be sold. I called Anna, and I told her the 90-day move out notice would commence on June 1, 2025. A few days later, Anna called me and said that the tenants would be moving out by June 1, 2025. Very suspicious! Could the residents be family members? How could they move in five days? When I went to do the walk through, I was completely aghast as to the condition the property was left. First of all, Anna told me she told the tenants to clean the house. THEY DID NOT. There were numerous items left in the front and back yard, screws in the fireplace, broken bathroom light fixtures, non-functioning oven hood, malfunctioning toilets, damaged shower faucet, holes in the family room wall, non-functional kitchen light fixture, locks on all three bedroom door knobs (not there before), a cracked mirrored closet door, unsanitary bathrooms, a roll of carpet left, completely filthy carpet (black), black walls, lattice fencing in the backyard (to keep the dog out), a HORRIBLE dog smell odor, and the most important was the tenant signatures were MISSING on the "move-out" checklist. I actually demanded another walk through, as the first checklist did not indicate an odor of dog stench, and some of the above were not noted. I believe the assistant's name is Maria, and for the life of me, I don't know how she did not smell the dog. She finally admitted to it when we walked downstairs. (The floor repair person, realtor and contractor nearly threw up upon smelling the odor!) I talked to Anna on the phone and expressed my disappointment in the manner my father's property was managed by her company. I followed up my phone conversation by email on June 17, 2025, documenting everything, and I have yet to hear from her. The amount of money to get the house back into shape was at least three times the amount of the cleaning deposit. We honored our responsibilities during the lease period. (May I add we never raised their rent in 11 years!) Unfortunately, the same level of professionalism was not reciprocated when it came to protecting the value and condition of the property. To sum it up, if you want to be lied to, have your property not managed, and then spend THOUSANDS of dollars to get it back in shape, hire Anna and Nest Property. Otherwise, find a reputable company! I wish I could leave zero stars! We rented from Nest Management in California for five years always paid on time and they lied when we moved out keeping $2600 of our security deposit even after admitting lying! We brought them to small claims court and won the first small claims case. Of course Anna wasn't paying what she owed us so we put a mark on her real estate license and all of a sudden she claimed she was never served. At the second small claims court case the judge said we had to find the owners of the house because of how the lease was written, and even though we never met the owner nor could find him. The house was put in a trust. We spent a few thousand trying to find him. She will screw you over, be very careful. Don't waste your money and rent from them. She is terrible. Not sure how she sleeps at night. Believe all the other bad reviews the good ones are probably friends. read more

Bonafide rent collectors will only react when their rent collection is jeopardized. Poor to no communication. They simply ignore texts and emails from tenants. No wonder the turnover of units is continual. You have to withhold rent or file a complaint with the SF Rent Board to get any response from them. If there's a real emergency in the building, what then? They have workers in the building working on turning over units until 9-10 PM since their rent collection has been interrupted. I contacted Anna to assist me in renting a condo I own. Her daughter Diana reached out quickly to me and we met at the property where she took great photos and did market rent analysis and she provided a recommendation for price points. Soon she placed rental ads on multiple platforms and scheduled an open house for viewing. My goal was to rent the condo as soon as possible and this was in November which is not a great time to find renters. With Diana's help, I was able to rent it in less than 3 weeks and the renters even moved in the last 2 days of November!!. She took care of all the paperwork from applications, background check, co-signer papers, rent contract, and explaining the contract details. Thank you so much Anna and Diana for the awesome help! Not another horrible property management company here in the bay area! I am currently renting a house from Nest but will not have anything to do with them my lease is up. Almost since day one of going to look at the current place I'm at I've hit a wall with dealing with this "company". I will skip the smaller stuff and jump to the issue with the refrigerator going out. I submitted a maintenance request and never heard back and called and never heard back. So I reached out to the home owner. I did hear back from him in a timely manner thankfully. Not so thankfully for the food that will go to waste. I would hate to see a bigger emergency happen. read more

One star because you can't leave zero stars. The current ownership of Nest Property is a joke. They're glorified rent collectors. They were much better when Ron was the owner, but since he sold the business to Anna, they don't even try anymore. Here's a few examples of their terrible service. - Another tenant was promised a dishwasher in their unit before moving in. Rent and security paid, but no dishwasher was installed. Excuse, "we ran out of money." So instead, a gaping hole in the kitchen. - Another tenant's unit was supposed to be repaired and "cleaned" up before they moved in. However, this went on a month after the original move in date, and then the tenant had to pay for the clean-up themselves - Fence collapsed in the backyard of a property and when "fixed" it was literally braced with a plank of wood holding the fence up in the yard. - External outlet was malfunctioning. (sparks and flame shot out when plug removed). Submitted a ticket on Nest's portal (in Nov.). Response was, "well don't use that outlet, and we'll have to contact the owner." 6 months later, never returned calls or fixed. We moved. - External door doorknob lock broke. Just spun by in circles when key was inserted to lock or unlock. Submitted a ticket on the portal. Response "have to check with the owner." A week goes by with no communication. Replaced doorknob myself so the door could be locked since it was external facing, never reimbursed. - Property owner reached out to us, because they couldn't get in contact with Anna or anyone a Nest for weeks, and needed some information. The property owner's exact words, "they're so screwy." read more

I engaged Anna to find a tenant for my condo. While I recognize the current market is tough, I feel like I wasted time and effort having her list the place. Maybe she was great finding people when times were good for landlords, but I saw a near complete failure to adapt to the realities of renting a place in a down economy. I had to initiate any efforts to update the listing - first to get her to shoot current photos, then to redo the few bad pictures she did take, provide usages on showings, light duty staging, and reducing the rent /deposit (and when we did finally work those, she updated the rent but not the deposit). I was going for someone with experience to get me through this down market, but all I got was someone to let in the 3 prospects she found over the course of 7 weeks (none of whom applied). I would not recommend Nest. read more

I know from day one that you and your company will be the right fit for me. You return my call on the weekend within 20 minutes after I leave a message when you were out of the Country with 7 or 8 hours of a different time zone. He contacts the plumber, electrician, or other service professional and sends them out promptly, and in coordination with my schedule. He has been fair and responsive to our needs. Recently myself and 3 friends were looking at a house in Daly City. We instantly fell in love with the house. Offered to pay more than the asked price and explained at we wanted the owners to know that and take it into consideration. ALSO our credit score was at least at 800. I sent her multiple emails asking questions and making sure she received our information and never got a reply. We even called her at least 5 times from different phones and she never answered the calls. Even when we left messages they were never responded to. She finally answered one call and told us that we should hear back from her the next day about the house. We waited ALL day, anxious about the house and never got a call. The day after that we called her, no answer. Waited till the late afternoon and called again, she then told us we would know "tomorrow." Finally "tomorrow" came and we did not get the house. I then told her to relay a message to the owners about the choice, never replied. I feel that because of her lack of drive she lost the house for us. If you have to use nest property as a property management you're in for disappointment and anxiety. Good luck. read more

As residential clients of Nest Property Management for more than a year, we found their service, especially from Ron Morley and his property management staff, to be consistently responsive and professional. First, it should be noted that Nest Property's residential inventory of rental property is extensive, consistent with market conditions and of exceptional quality. Our townhouse was prefect in terms of location, amenities that range from updated appliances to in-unit full laundry to two dedicated plus one guest parking spaces and pet friendly. But none of this matters if the relationship between the tenant and property manager is not a good one. In the case of our relationship with Nest Properties, it was top-tier. Responses to our requests were always expeditious (within the same day or if warranted, within a matter of hours). A case in point involved a water pipe that burst resulting in limited flooding in the kitchen area. We contacted Nest Property and they dispatched a water damage and recovery contractor to our home within a hour. Once the mitigation efforts were completed, Nest property immediately began reconstruction on the damaged via another one of his contractors. In both instances the contractor staff was professional, efficient and informative. What we particularly appreciated was hoW Ron Morley personally provided oversight including on one occasion actually visiting our hour home to inspect the work progress. This was not expected and demonstrated Ron's professionalism and commitment to quality service. This is a virtue not often experienced in today's rental market. We have recommended Nest Property to our professional colleagues, family and friends for their future residential needs.
