Room was spacious and luxurious with second floor deck to view two lakes. Upon arrival to our room we were greeted with refreshing limeade and the best tasting spring water you will know from their own well. Our hostess and host made us so comfortable and gave the best recommendations for sites and restaurants in the area. Our breakfast each morning was incredible and very healthy ranging from fruit bowl, homemade yogurt with berries & nuts, great coffee, oatmeal and also bacon and other items at your request. This place is located in Chocolay Township, at least 5 miles from Marquette. It shows Marquette on the map, but this is located at the corner of 28 and 41. This was the cheapest hotel for move in weekend, but still paid over $175 for a room. About $100-$125 too much. The dramatic increase in pricing is normal for weekends, especially during the school year. So the gouging is normal. And no place in the area is ashamed about it. Continental breakfast was meager. 2 varieties of packaged pastries, 6 oz coffee. 2 varieties of cereal, but couldn't find the milk. One type of yogurt with no utensils to eat with. And a small basket of apples. It's probably all that was needed as there were only 8 rooms being used (based on the number of vehicles in the lot). Bed was okay, we were there to drop a student off to college. Bed was okay, hard for my liking, but was able to sleep. There weren't any more blankets to add to the bed and was uncomfortable having to constantly adjust the thermostat (too cold then too warm). The biggest surprise came in the morning. No hot water. Quickly discovered that the faucet was reversed thinking that I was wrong, but let each side run separately for 5 mins to get hot water. To no avail. I contacted the front desk and received an apology. I was told they were contacting the manager. Not sure what that would've accomplished except maybe the water heater needed to be turned on. That didn't happen. We checked out at the front desk after packing up. Received another apology and then were told they would now check it out. It required them going into the crawl space and therefore hadn't actually done that to get us hot water. We asked for a bit of a credit on our room. Another apology. And were told they weren't authorized to do so. That the owners would need to be contacted. We left showerless and a bit wiser as to why during the busiest time of year for moving college kids in, there were only 8 rooms booked. Make your own assessment based on the information presented.
