My boyfriend and I came to NettBar one weekend night while waiting to meet up some friends. We really enjoyed the place and had a great time! The parking is a little difficult with a small lot and no parking on the streets (I believe it was past 11PM or midnight) so if you can Uber, it might be easier for you! The building looked new and was super cute on the inside with a few tables to sit at. If wanting a place to chill inside, this is probably not the best place to go. The outside patio and area is very large and nice! There were TV's and a large screen they were all playing basketball! The drinks were a little on the pricey side, even for a simple beer like Miller or Bud. So don't expect a cheap drink. It is right next to the train tracks and I heard that when a train is coming by there's a drink special? Not sure if its true but pretty cool if it is! Definitely worth asking about! We will be back to NettBar and will be bringing friends with us next time! read more

More Neighborhoods need a place like NettBar! This bar is really laid-back, and is really best when the weather is nice. There are plenty of picnic tables outside to please big groups, with lots of lawn games and things to do so that everyone is entertained. We did see a few kids there during our visit, but no kiddos under about the age of 2 years old or so (FYI - there is music outside and dogs allowed on the patio, so it may be better to leave the really little ones at home). Happy hour is a steal, and you can grab a $2 "train shot" anytime the train whizzes by! The cocktail menu really surprised me, with just as many creative drinks as any place twice it's size in the area, and plenty of rotating beers on tap to please any pallet. Overall, NettBar is awesome. I would definitely recommend it for cocktails with friends when the weather is nice, and if it's not, then go with your sweetheart and enjoy the small bar inside that still has a great neighborhood vibe. I really wanted to like this bar. It looked super cute from pictures on their social media. Anyhow, I was supposed to pick up tickets for a St. Patricks Day block party at the bar, and I said "Cool beans, I can pick up tix and stay and have a few drinks" Anyhow, as soon as I walked in, the place looked good from the outside. Once I stepped in and walked over to the bar area everything changed. First of all, the bartender chick, super rude, looked at me up and down and literally made me wait more than 5 minutes before she even acknowledged I was there. I asked about the tix, she gave me a weird look and proceeded to say she had no idea what I was talking about, I thought to myself, no biggie. I'll just stick around for drinks, but she just walked away and never came back. She and the manager literally made me feel like I was not welcomed, or out of place. Gave me the vibe of being a pretentious neighborhood bar that only caters to a specific type of clientele. I felt discriminated upon. Anyhow, there's far better bars out there that DO NOT make you feel unwelcome just because you're Hispanic. I'll spend my money somewhere else. read more

Nice setting in its outdoor space, even on a cold and somewhat rainy day recently when we watched the World Cup there. The bar inside was cozy. Bartender wasn't particularly friendly but wasn't unfriendly either, as was true of the rest of the staff, including one of the owners. I was disappointed by the limited selection of craft beers on tap, but they had some more in cans. My friends had the tacos from the food truck and loved them. I'd go back, particularly in nice weather, but all in all it's a definitely second choice to Ladybird's, which is a better neighborhood bar nearby. read more

I have been coming to Nett Bar since it opened. I love this community bar!!!! I love the big screens in the outdoor patio area. My favorite day to visit is on Tuesday's when they have steak night. While it may look like a small community bar don't overlook the cocktail menu. The bartenders can throw down. This is really cool, relaxed neighborhood bar. I found it on an Eater map of places with frozen drinks. It did not disappoint. There is a small lot and street parking. Be sure to watch the neighborhood signs as many blocks were reserved did residents. The bar has a huge outdoor area. They have Bocce ball, large jenga, some tv's, and it's dog friendly. I had to try a frozen cocktails. They have a rotating menu of sangria, frose, dreamsicle, and hard lemonade. My frose was refreshing, and I would have liked a little more volume for the cost. The building is a restored bungalow. There is a small indoor bar with a few tables. The tables were reserved. A DJ set up inside later and played 90's R&B and hip hop. You can order inside or at the window. When a train passes by, they sell $2 shots. DO NOT COME HERE. I received the WORST customer service I ever have in my life here. The girl bartender was extremely rude to me and my friends and her coworker was just as rude. I will definitely not be coming back here ever again and I suggest looking for another bar in the area. Little Woodrow's is extremely close and their customer service was phenomenal plus they have a lot more room and better games. EDIT - Our ID's were never asked for and your employees were very disrespectful to us and cursed at us to "get the f*ck out of there" instead of handling it in a mature manner. We went there last night and it's an okay bar. Drinks are a little pricey, the parking situation sucks, but the ambiance is good. The female bartender was very nice and efficient. Here's why I'm giving it 1 star: I was there for a going away party and since there were so many people that showed up, my friends and I had to be in the patio area by the bar instead of the main area where most of the party goers were. We'd call over the guest of honor occasionally to where we were, but we didn't go to her area. It was just too crowded with all the people she had invited to the bar. We were minding our own business when we saw a fight start. So of course, we went over to see what happened and listen. We realized it was the other part of our group. (I only knew the people I was with, but I recognized them from when introductions happened.) It turned out that a patron that attended the party had tipped poorly and THE MALE BARTENDER WITH LONG BRAIDS FOLLOWED HIM TO COMPLAIN AND ARGUE. What?!? It was insane. People were yelling and it was a mess. One owner or manager (older man with graying hair) HAD TO BE HELD BACK and HE WAS YELLING AT THE PATRON AS HE WALKED AWAY AND WHO THEY HAD KICKED OUT. The other owner or manager was trying to calm everyone down. He at least admitted his bartender was in the wrong. Our friend made the point that she had brought 50 people (at least!) to the bar so if one person tipped poorly, the bartender should have dealt with it. And honestly, she HAD invited that many people and everyone was drinking for hours and spending money and I do believe he should have just sucked it up instead of creating a scene. That's just the luck of the draw when you work for tips. Not saying the patron was right AT ALL for being a bad tipper, but the bartender escalated the situation by following him and arguing about it. That's just unprofessional. He should've known that was going to end badly. Annnnyways, long story not so short, we closed our tabs and left. But it was unnecessary drama. When I get a chance to go out, I'd prefer it to be relaxing. Seeing an incident like that happen because of someone that works there, doesn't make me want to spend my money there when there are plenty of other places. I only went for her anyway. I've been to this place a few times and have enjoyed myself, but after last night, I'm completely disgusted and will not be returning. My friends and I were enjoying our evening but that all came to an end when one of the employees began CURSING at a group of young girls telling them to "get the f out" and things of that nature. As an industry worker, there is absolutely NO reason for anyone to be spoken to that way and it was quite sad watching the employees treat people in that manner. I came to NettBar for Goat Yoga this past weekend. Upon arrival I loved the bar, the atmosphere and how it was set up!! Firstly I love that they have partnered up with Rachel Henson to do Goat Yoga. She's fantastic!!! You can do your yoga, then go inside and have a drink!! This is a gorgeous bar and I highly recommend going! It was breezy this weekend and it was just perfect! Its located in a nice quiet neighborhood! And the best part....you can bring your dog!!!! It doesn't get any better than that!! I drove an hour and a half away to come and I will definitely frequent here! I wish I could have gotten more pictures of the view itself! Lots of table space and perfect photo opps!! Definition of a neighborhood spot! Always bumping but not too crazy. Lots of fun to be had and usually good tunes. The drinks are not cheap but their cocktails are very tasty and they have multiple frozen drinks available so that's great. I recommend the cucumber smash cocktail! There are interactive games like Jenga, bocce ball, connect 4, and cornhole (reminds me of Brooklyn Athletic club). There is also a big pop up screen for sport fans to catch the latest score. Usually a train running by would kill the vibe, but Nettbar brings fun and excitement to that loud roar by offering $2 shots every time the train passes! Small lot, or street parking. The bar is dog friendly but they don't let dogs off leash which I wish they would but can understand reasons why they don't. The reason for the 4 star is the prices. I love nettbar! This place is such a great place to go with friends and just hang out. It's mostly outside but they have fans and water in the summer if you're worried about the heat. Highly recommend trivia night on Wednesdays! They have had people selling food when I've gone so that's also a bonus. I know they also have goat yoga some saturdays which is always fun!
