Review for Dr Surjeet Singh I first met Dr Singh when I was working with him during my medical school surgery rotation. In the month that I spent with him, I found him to be friendly, kind, and truly interested in the best outcomes possible for his patients. He is punctual and polite, and takes the time to explain the various surgical options for his patients and to discuss the pros and cons of each one. I was so impressed with his bedside manner and quality of care (as well as surgical dexterity) that, when it came time to have my own laser corrective surgery, I decided he would be the one I trusted with my vision. As a patient, I found Dr Singh and the staff at Nevada Eye & Ear (I've been to both locations) to be as friendly and helpful as I had as a student. They sometimes get a little backed up, as all doctors' offices do, but Dr Singh and all the other opthalmologists there are worth the wait. Araceli, the surgical scheduler, is very helpful when it comes to insurance and pricing information. I luckily have not required any additional work thus far and hope not to for a long time to come, but if I do, I would absolutely trust Dr Singh and his staff again. Dr. Surjeet Singh is a great doctor, I've been going to him for several years. But when I went to my appointment today, the lobby was crowded with people standing up and into the hallway. Several patients were wearing their masks below their nose. There was no social distancing at all, no questions about your health or taking your temperature. There was no barrier protecting the sign in desk, which shows a lack of concern for the safety of the employees. I did not feel comfortable, left and didn't set another appointment. I've been to three other doctors offices where they handled it seriously and better organized. They limited appointments so the lobby was not crowded, kept the seats apart so there was 6' between them, checked your temperature (two of them even checked your temperature before you entered the building) and had clear plastic barriers at the check in desk. I think I will be looking for another eye doctor, and ask several questions before I make an appointment. read more

I called in on a Saturday afternoon and got the answering service.I told her of my posible detached retina and within 5 minutes I get a call from Dr Singh, he had me come into the office which he opened for me to perform a few tests on my eye and discovered my retina was only torn, but still at strong risk of becoming detached. So now Dr. Singh calls a friend at Retina Consultants of Nevada who then opened his office at 7pm on Saturday and laser repaired my eye. That was a fine representation of real 5 star customer service. I could not have felt more cared for. Because of the level of care I received from Dr. Singh I am a patient for life. read more

I've been seeing Dr Lorenz for about 20 years. Due to scheduling, I have also seen Dr Gasson and Dr Orton, both of whom are excellent and wonderful, thorough and professional. I also really like Staci in optical. I've had some issues with the scheduling center and long wait times in the past. But the past few years, much improvement and very efficient. I've been wearing glasses/contacts since I can remember and am a blind, blind bat. I've been to so many different optometrists, yet Dr. Orton (O.D.) may be one of my favorites. He is a no small talk, straight to the point kind of guy. He is extremely, extremely thorough and works hard at his job. He doesn't wait for the techs to come in and clean the equipment, he'll jump up and do it himself. I felt I was in good hands and his quiet manner made me feel at ease, even through getting my eyes dilated which I HATE. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Singh for anyone thinking about getting LASIK done. I have been wearing glasses since about the age of 11 and contacts for the previous 3 years. I finally made the decision to get LASIK done and Dr. Singh and his staff were amazing. 100% Satisfaction!! My mother has recently had cataract surgery to both of her eyes by Dr. Singh. My mother was nervous but I knew we could trust Dr. Singh and her sight. We were proven right. My mother is now out of glasses for the first time in her life and she couldn't be any happier. She now has a new "joie de vivre" and it couldn't be any more magical to see. I had an 8am appointment. They open at 8am. It took me more than 1 hr to be seen. They initially over book as the room was near full entire time. So if you want your time respected I wouldn't bother. Staff doesn't seem concerned with anything. read more

Dr Lorenz is great, but his staff leave much to be desired. It seems every time I go in, the nurse tries to incite an argument with me, or tries to make me look like an idiot. This time around I went in for my regular check-up. She kept insisting I needed to make a complaint to be seen. When I told her, I was just in for a check-up she kept shaming me for not having a complaint. It wasn't until a supervisor entered the room, that she volunteered my diabetes as a reason to be seen. She knew all along a reason for me to be seen, but she decided to harass me instead of being helpful. read more

I have to say I Respect the whole wear a mask during this time while we go through Covid. BUT I have NO RESPECT when it comes to a doctor's office who expects a 5year child with a mind of 1year to wear mask and knows that they will not leave it on... My daughter is super LOW on the spectrum and you as the Doctors refuse to see her because she won't leave her Mask on that is wrong and is a form of discrimination against Kids with special needs. read more

Dr Singh is absolutely amazing and I am so grateful to have met him and to have had him to fix my eyes. I had the most unbelievable experience working with this doctor. I put off doing my cataract surgery for years because I knew too many people who went to other doctors both in Las Vegas and Los Angeles and ended up with complications. Someone recommended Dr Singh so I did a consultation with him and from that moment I felt confidence I did not have with any other doctor. He was incredibly smart, patient and confident with his ability to take care of my issue without any complications. I am now post op after doing my second eye and I am blown away by the results. Horrible horrible waiting time! The appointment was at 9:00. I waited for one hour and 20 minutes in the waiting area, which was a madhouse. I had to be taken into multiple rooms, 3 different waiting areas and I was there for almost 4 hours. The eye doctor was decent enough but the office is clearly overbooked. There were many unhappy patients complaining about the time wasted waiting. read more

Irma, the surgery scheduler failed to call us to inform us my husband's procedure had been cancelled. We took time off work and he started eye drops seven days prior as prescribed. Irma was rude to us from the start. This was a frustrating experience. We are going with another eye group. read more

I cannot disagree more with some of the reviews I have read on this site. I am a 47 year old female. I had cataract surgery with a multifocal lens implant less than 13 hours ago. I have an eye doctor for life. Dr. Singh is kind, compassionate, intelligent, excellent and I could go on and on. I have had nothing but positive interactions with the staff and the surgery center. I had this surgery without sedation.....just some numbing drops on my eye. No pain and I could see right after the procedure. I would recommend Dr. Singh to everyone and anyone. Don't put off your vision needs because you are afraid or its not bad enough yet.......This guy is amazing. read more

Surjeet Singh, M.D. accurately and immediately diagnosed and treated Uveitis in my left eye which was previously misdiagnosed. I found him to be a highly dedicated Ophthalmologist with a well defined passion, excellent bedside manner, extremely well informed and articulate with the state of the art optical sciences, which instilled a comforting factor as I was sincerely worried I might lose the sight in my left eye. I highly recommend Dr. Singh. When I require surgery, he is the only specialist I would choose to operate on my eyes. My mother was seen by Dr. Manthei today at St. Rose Hospital, he was an excellent doctor in my opinion, he answered every question we had and his examination was very thorough, unlike most doctors who are always in a rush and don't seem really engaged or interested in your concerns, I felt the opposite about Dr. Manthei. read more

I called late this morning asking for a same day appointment for a scratch on my eye. They were very accommodating. I came in a few minutes early to fill out new patient paperwork, but before I could even finish I was called in for the preliminary with the nurse. I've been wearing glasses and/or contacts for over 15 years and as a professional driver I had to constantly switch from glasses to contacts to prescription sun glasses while driving to see the road better. As most people, I was concerned about the process and what my vision would be like after surgery. Dr. Singh was great. He answered all my questions also explained the difference between LASIK and PRK and made me feel very comfortable. I decided to go with custom LASIK. Prior to surgery I had poor vision with an astigmatism. Now I have 20/15 vision and see better than I have in years. Thanks to Dr. Singh and his team for making this an enjoyable experience. I had LASIK done by Dr. Surjeet Singh a few weeks ago. The procedure itself was super easy and short. Dr. Singh is wonderful. He truly cares about his patients and really takes his time to explain options, expectations and after care follow up. He follows you closely after the procedure. You're in great hands. His staff is super friendly and helpful. They get you in and out of appointments quickly. The day after surgery my vision was nearly perfect. It's amazing to not have to rely on glasses anymore. I went to Nevada Eye and Ear for an eye exam. This was my first time there and I was lucky enough to have an appointment at 1:30pm to it was soon after the office opened back up after lunch. I filled out the paperwork and then had to sit and wait for about 15 minutes before being called back. The doctor was nice and efficient but he did not answer all the questions I had asked. In some ways I felt as though I was being somewhat rushed out. I did get my prescription though for my glasses and contacts. I have dealt with the optical side before and they were nice. Hopefully I will find the same experience for myself but I will say you will have a wait on the optical side. read more

I took my son there to see the pediatric ophthalmologist.. he was 18 then and is 26 now but had an accident that left his right eye turned outward.. the staff at Nevada eye and ear are wonderful and caring.. I had been to other placesac who told me my son would be blind. Due to his brain injury.. not here.. they took him into to surgery, corrected his eye muscles and ban just like that his eyes are straight and sees 20/20 with glasses.. it's very hard to examine someone who is a challenged or maybe they can't speak.. thank you Nevada eye and ear for fixing my son's eyesight and giving him his confidence back.. the optical shop is awesome as far as helping you figure out what he needed.. prices are good.. staff is caring.. as a pts mother, thank you and God bless you read more

Terrible Scheduling personnel. They are abrupt and spend little time looking for one's referral form. They request referral form to be resent to them by FAX. FAX completed a half hour ago, and they still claim they don't have it. Are they understaffed? read more

Wait times are unreasonably long (can be 1 hour or more) and front office staff are not very helpful or knowledgeable. Some of the doctors are pretty good (have been diagnosed with pink eye and oculus glandes here - good catches), but the entire package of service leaves something to be desired. First off, I received good medical care, and that is most important. However, the wait times are ridiculous. I've had three appointments. Two of the three appointments I ended up waiting over an hour. The thrid time I waited 45 mins. Each time I arrived earlier than my appointment. My actual time with my doctor was around 5 to 10 mins. It's baffling to me to be taken back for a scheduled appointment over an hour late. If it had happened only once I'd chalk it up to a busy day that they just simply got behind on. Additionally, the receptionists are inattentave. My first visit, I stood at the counter for a full 3 mins before either of the two receptioninsts bothered themselves to stop their non-work related conversation to greet me. If you think 3 minutes is not that long, go ahead and look at your watch and imagine yourself standing there while two so-called professionals gibber jabber in front of you. My "greeting" which was only a terse, "sign in" and "oh are you new?". After I sat down I became curious how long it would take the receptionists to look at the sign in sheet. It was 10 minutes, I timed it. My other two visits I simply signed in and they checked the sheet shorlty thereafter. Overall, I thought the follow-up medical care I needed for my eye was good. However, I will not go back for any other medical needs due to their grossly inefficient appointment system and unproffesional receptionists. read more
