Cracked quartz, they came and re sealed it, still looks like shit

I had a horrible experience with this company. They installed "quartz" in my kitchen, it's cracked and smudged. Two things they said were IMPOSSIBLE with quartz. They came and "sealed it" and buffed it but it still looks horrible. They offered to do one of my bathrooms for free to make up for the kitchen so I figured that would be a good solution to make up for the ruined kitchen counters. After MULTIPLE calls and texts went unanswered, and multiple dates got changed at the last minute for the bathroom installs. They finally came after I turned the communication over to my husband. They took HOURS longer then they said they were. They were hours late getting to my house. They broke my master bathroom sinks causing them To have to come back ANOTHER day. They were late again. They messed up our sink plumbing and my husband had to fix it. They used TONS of my husbands tools to fix problems that continued to come up. They sealed the bathroom counters OVER the old mirrors that I told them I was going to replace. So now I'm scared to take the mirrors down to replace them. They're not sealed correctly on the seams in the bathroom. I can almost stick my pinky between the counter and the "back splash" because it isn't sealed. There's a huge jagged edge sticking out that was never rounded. AWFUL experience. They were given a chance to make it right and made it 100000 times worse.

Our counters in the kitchen and bathroom came out awesome! The installation went smoothly and prices were fair. I would recommend.

I recently completed a full remodel of my boys' bathroom, and working with Richard, his dad, and…read morehis brother Bryan was one of the best contractor experiences I've ever had. From day one, they did exactly what they said they were going to do. They showed up on time every morning, communicated clearly throughout the project, and even sent me progress photos every evening before they left so I always knew what had been accomplished. What impressed me most was how much they genuinely cared about the quality of their work and about making sure I was happy every step of the way. They kept the work area incredibly clean (which is so rare), and I never felt like I was living in a construction zone. They also went above and beyond by helping with things that weren't really their responsibility, including assisting with installing my bathroom cabinet and helping with the countertop. That level of professionalism and kindness is hard to find. I received several bids before starting this project, and while they weren't the cheapest, they were worth every penny. You may forget the money you saved by hiring the lowest bidder, but you will definitely remember the headache of having to redo bad work. Choosing these guys saved me from that. Even my kids were sad when the project was over because they had gotten so used to seeing them every day! They work fast, communicate well, take pride in what they do, and deliver beautiful results. If you're on the fence, just hire them. I would recommend them to my family and friends without hesitation.

When I moved into my house in 2023 I got new flooring and the previous company did such a horrible job that the tiles started cracking right away. I finally had to do something about it. Looking for what felt like forever I finally found Hurtado's Tile and Stone. I was greeted with a warm and friendly man named Richard. We came to an agreement to do my kitchen/laundry as well as my office and outdoor tile. He helped me so much along the way with picking tile, giving advice and even getting me good deals. The projected started and his dad Efren and brother Brian started the job right on time (this has never happened and I have dealt with a lot of contractors/workers). They continue their work and were always communicating and on time. This is unheard of for me. He even helped me find someone to do another job I needed which also turned out amazing. The flooring came out exactly how I wanted it, so beautiful! The quality of work is amazing. But what is even better is they are just great people. They cleaned up after themselves and were so respectful. I honestly couldn't recommend them enough.

If you're looking for tile, this is the place to go!!…read more The entire showroom has massive amounts of samples. Richard was my sales rep and he walked me through many different combo options. He even pulled the tiles to a display to show me what they looked like under different colored lighting. After some consultation, I was allowed to grab the tile sample I settled on to browse around the showroom and search for other combos I might like. He even showed me grout options (there are plenty!) They also offer services for custom tiling. I don't have a designer and I've never remodeled a bathroom before, so Richard's knowledge of current trends, molds, and flooring helped a lot with my decision making! 10/10 would recommend anyone I like to come here.

We wished we came here first! Which seems to be what everyone else feels as well: we heard another lady say the exact same thing in another aisle, and the first review I saw right now as I was coming here to post this also said the same. Anyway, this place is amazing!

Our recent project was to re-do our deck. We had two options: 1) hiring a deck contractor we didn't know the quality of work and the professionalism or 2) hiring Eshed who was not a deck specialist - he's an expert now! - but who had done an amazing job for us before. We decided to go with Eshed and we didn't regret it at all! For the second time Eshed did an amazing job for us. Our deck looks fantastic and everything went very smoothly. Eshed prepares everything before he starts the project so there is no bad surprise along the way. He shows up when he says he will. So it's really a pleasure to work with him because there is no stress at all! He's a perfectionist and that's exactly what makes a contractor an excellent contractor! Eshed - Thanks for the awesome work you and your helper Isai did at our place this time again I'm sure we'll come up with a project #3 for you. Stay tuned

If you are looking for a simple repair or a straightforward project, Eshed may be a great option…read more However, if you are looking for very utmost craft, precision (ie. 1/8" grout lines), working with curved tile shapes and expect a professional partnership throughout where there is no harassment and unsolicited comments beyond the scope of the agreed upon project, then this is not the small business for you. I, too, found Eshed via his five star reviews but was completely disappointed with the way the project unfolded. The initial project quote was 15 business days. Though I had to unexpectedly travel for work and attend jury duty, I ended up being without a kitchen for 2 months. Expectations were not met. Partway through the tile project, my closet broke and a closet expert came to assess my storage needs while Eshed was at the property working on the kitchen backsplash. While showing the closet designer my dresser drawer, it tipped over due to all the drawers being opened. We called Eshed in to help us rotate the dresser back upright and I thanked him for his help. I carried on with my closet consultation. At the end of the work day, while Eshed and I were discussing progress, Eshed made a comment about seeing all of the underwear in my dresser drawers and breezed past it as if it was part of standard conversation practice. In addition to this, while wrapping up on a Friday, he has sent me photos of where he's headed for the weekend and at one point even verbally suggested that I go with him to climb rocks on the beach. These instances, though not tied to the project, demonstrate a lack of professional standard that I expect from the highest quote that came in during my research for a quality tile installation. When all the tile was installed, right when the first wall's grout was applied in the kitchen, I was shocked to realize that the spacing that we were aiming for (1/8") was not at 1/4" or greater in some areas. I asked him if he used spacers to control the spacing and he said no. I asked him why he didn't use spacers and his response was aloof, telling me it was inefficient. This is not the bar of craft of excellence once expected from a project where the tiles cost more than the labour and the labour was already the highest bid across 5 businesses. Upon project completion, the matte black door knob on my front door looked like a blender had been taken to it because of all the broken tiles he was managing while going in/out of the property to cut tile pieces. I pointed this out and he did not make any suggestions to make this right or compromise. Lastly, he had an unprofessional meltdown in front of my electrician, a fellow tradesperson after passively suggesting that the electrical outlets need attention and that I should bring the electrician back (for the 3rd time). He raised his voice, got overly dramatic and read the text message he wrote me in front of the electrician to prove a point that only worsened his credibility. On the final day of completion, instead of calling me out of my office to confirm that the project was complete, he texted me while leaving the property and told me to send a check. No final walk through of the work was discussed. It is likely Eshed will respond publicly with a rebuttal, but I hope these examples as a whole give you the context you need when considering your next tile needs.
