The sushi roll area has no labels and they make the rolls extremely slow. I had to go back twice just to get what I wanted. No one stands at the hibachi spot. This is our favorite place to take guests! Everyone can get exactly what he/she wants and have as much as they want. I was amazed by their variety. The Sunday brunch is especially good. You have a better selection there than at other times because they have more seafood - like oysters on the half shell, clams and big, big shrimps. When you go for lunch at a diner, the bill can easily be around $50 for 2 people. Here, it's more like $30 and you have many more choices. Dinners are higher, but still very reasonable. Let me start by mentioning that I'm not a big buffet person. My wife's cousin took us here. We went in the evening, and it was extremely busy. Our waitress was nice and asked us for our drink order. I then went around and started with the Sushi and Sashami. Everything was fresh, and you could see them making more nearby. I then moved on to the Hibachi, you can pick your proteins and add vegetables, eggs, rice, or noodles, it's then cooked for you while you wait. They offer a large salad bar, and three other steam tables for you to pick your different types of foods. Last but not least a dessert bar. A few important parts, the place is very clean, the staff is constantly on the go, cleaning up, getting more drinks, and being helpful to the patrons. Overall the food was good and prepared well. This is a surprise hidden jem! Was looking for some Chinese food after shopping in Staten Island Mall.. Although is 20 min away from the mall, was hesitant at first with the amount of time to get there.. plus hungry kids in the car.. Finally made up my mind and head over to give it a try. I don't live in Staten Island.. so is all based on Yelps pop up of nearest Chinese buffet in the area.. The section where they put the foods are not in great space, but they do have many varieties of selections that outshines the "normal" buffet foods I had in the past. The one thing WOW me is they offer many seafood varieties and they have 3 different kinds of crab.. stone crab, dungeness crab and snow crab legs.. mostly buffet restaurant only offer one kind.. max 2.. My little sister's plate was stolen full of food by a staff of the buffet. Some fucking Mexican family fat shamed me for saying I have "too much" on my plate. When you first walk in decoration, it's beautiful, it all went downhill from there I am disabled. I cannot sit for a long period of time so I set the period of time that I could when and I stood up tried finished my meal at that point my daughter decided to use the bathroom, once my daughter got up and left the table 3 bus boys decided to bum rush the table, take away our food and drinks as if we were done and the check was on the table. I told him we weren't finished, but no one paid attention to me. They clean the table thoroughly and set it for a new place setting my daughter came back and asked what happened and I explained it to her she said I didn't even get to taste the desserts. We asked for a glass of water with lemon because she was thirsty we were told we had to leave, we are not coming back to this establishment until either the owner reaches out to me or management. A dated Chinese American buffets. The staff was very friendly, for $8.99 you can eat unlimited chinese take out food. They have a lot of variety, but I noticed the food was very limited; for example if one dish (Stir fried clam) was finished it would take them awhile to bring it out again. The sushi isn't very fresh, you can tell all of the sushi are pre-made and kept in the fridge. -At the door you would see they have A rating but I noticed they allow pets. Upon seating we were asked what we wanted to drink and started off for the buffet plates in hand. In my opinion there was more than enough variety for the average person. Not being a seafood person I didn't go over to that station. There were ample chicken, pork beef and vegetable dishes. The veg egg rolls were just the rust size and hot and crispy. The dessert station seemed a little sparse but by this time one is so full after 2 plates that it's easily passed on. I was taken here yesterday for Mother's Day. New China really lived up to my expectations for a good Chinese buffet. The food was fresh.....hot and there was a huge selection of different foods. They even have a carving station plus they offer sushi and pizza. We had crab legs......sushi.......pizza .....stuffed clams......beef swedish meatballs........mei fun......,mashed potatoes........vegetable fried rice......shrimp with lemon and pepper seasoning.......stuffed shrimp with crab meat. Since I'm being taken around Staten Island by my Co-Workers, I let them pick where we would go to lunch. They decided buffet and who Am I to disagree. At first look the place looked a bit run down. Going inside was a little bite different. It was nice and organized, the only eye sore was a fish tank in the corner with dirty water and one dead fish (no picture in order to not upset animal lovers). The ladies at the counter seemed rude. They were upset when they asked me to be seated and I told them I'm waiting for my party to walk in. Once we were seated we went for the food. They offered a huge selection of foods other then Chinese dishes. They have mac & cheese, BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes and veggies to name a few. That was nice to see.
