I went to this place and the service is fast and I don't have to get out of my car. The food is good portion with affordable prices.

Update: Something that really stuck out to me is the extremely limited lunch menu here. I will say though. Unlike the other two Chinese restaurants I typically go to for lunch (with drive-thru) this location does include an egg roll, which was a value until they raised the lunch special price, again. Another thing noted is that the chicken wing lunch special is a tad bit higher than the other items on the lunch special menu. There's no longer a shortage of wings therefore the price has come down a bit. Considering they're in a certain area. I call that greed. All that being said. The food is mostly consistent, and drive thru still moves at a decent pace. Wouldn't recommend going out of the way to eat here though. read more

Customer service AND the food was disgusting. I had a pickup order I ordered from a menu w over 100 items. My order had seafood I don't eat seafood there's allergies in my home. I called to make it right, the manager/owner blamed me for not asking if there was seafood on an item that didn't list seafood, they list pork, chicken. When I asked for money back he absolutely refused to remake the item, return my money or compensate me in anyway. Quite frankly the food smelled of old grease and was brown like the grease hadn't been properly cleaned. I will NEVER order or recommend this disgusting place to anyone. read more

Customer service was great. Food was a little skimpy on the shrimp for my Kung Pao Shrimp. My shrimp lo mein had plenty of smaller shrimp. The rice taste like it's uncooked. Wouldn't recommend the rice. The ambience it was another whole in the wall restaurant not to pleasing of the eyes but it was clean outside and inside. Would not waste your money here. They tried to charge one dollar per pack of soy sauce and duck sauce. The lady that answered the phone to take my order was so rude that I ended up canceling the rest of the order because she was screaming like an idiot on the phone. Get to the drive-through window they tell me that I can't get more soy sauce or duck sauce because their food as well seasoned, after explaining that the plate was for my kids to share that they would each have their own plate then she goes to charge me a dollar a piece for sauce she's literally screaming in front of my kids to the point that I have to threaten to call the police for her acting like an idiot in front of my kids and only decided to give me the sauce when I literally showed them how many people have complained about her screaming on the yelp reviews. She was screaming and acting so crazy that I asked her what her problem was and why she would behave like that in front of children and over a sauce at that. New China is the choice for Chinese whenever we all decide to order. Their setup is pretty cool as you can either walk in or go through the drive thru. It's definitely not upscale by any means. Of most of the Chinese restaurants in the area, you could definitely consider New China as a dive, but their food typically makes up for it. My favorite Chinese food item is Pork Fried Rice. New China has their own style of cooking it, which I'm not usually partial to, but it's cool to see some different styles used rather than each Chinese restaurant in the area cooking everything the same way. However, my favorite meal to order here is General Tso's. It seems to have a much spicier kick than most other places where I have had it. The other pro about New China is the amount of food that you get for the price that you pay. You get a ton of food. I typically have enough to last me for lunch and dinner of that same day. In comparison to EVERY other Chinese place this one is my favorite for their lo mein and vegetable spring rolls alone! Plan to spend just a bit more time in the drive-thru if you use it, compared to a fast food drive-thru, but it's likely because they're making fresh food and it's certainly worth it. I've eaten here 4 times. One of those times I've tried the honey chicken and the other three was the spicy chicken wings. I've also had the homemade fruit punch and crabmeat wontons. I've done the wings with chicken, shrimp and plain fried rice. The food is awesome! The wings are my favorite! They aren't your traditional spicy wings. It's a special sauce that they put on top of them. Anything with special sauce is a winner in my book The food is always cooked fresh and served hot. The honey chicken is good. When asked twice if I wanted two combos or one and a single order of sweet and sour chicken, I told the associate 1 combo 1 regular order of sweet and sour chicken. When I called back to ask about it the associate handed the cashier who took my order. She said "what you want" then proceeded to tell me I said I wanted two combo meals. Then hung up on me. Great place to eat, service is fast, food is plentiful and the employees are excellent. IMO They have the best fried rice on the entire Westside, for an extra treat ask them to put some of their egg foo yong gravy on top (no extra charge for it) delish! My only issue with New China and there's nothing bad about it is they don't have Chinese spare ribs on their menu and some of their supposedly spicy foods such as Mongolian beef/chick/pork/shrimp come out as rather sweet. I suppose you could ask for it to be prepared extra hot but I don't know what difference that will make. There is the possibility they're cooking a different style of Chinese food. I have noticed a big difference between Chinese food on the East and West Coasts of America, their dishes have the same names but they are nowhere near the same. I can guarantee you one thing however, they are not cooking Szechuan style, at least not the Szechuan style l grew up with. read more
