I ordered crab ragoons, mongolian beef, chicken on a stick and szechuan chicken. I will never understand why these places serve you literally an entire onion in your entrees, but oh well. Our Family has been coming here for over 15 years. They give huge portions & the food is always hot & fresh. It's the best Chinese food hands down in the Keller/Watauga area. I love the General Tso's Chicken, the Egg Rolls & the Pot Stickers. They have a very large menu & offer take out. read more

I new to Texas and it has been a struggle trying to find good takeout that isn't your usual franchise. Granted I use yelp for everything I came across this place. I figured I'd give it a try its just down the street from where I live. Let me just begin by saying I was not disappointed. The price is right and the portions are large and the taste is the best. Reminds me and my parents of a Chinese restaurant we used to love back in my hometown when I was a small child that my parents would go to all the time.The taste was very nostalgic! The location is not very noticeable, and it may be the type of place that many pass over, but if you love good Chinese food, make sure to go in! Our favorite dishes are garlic chicken, Szechuan shrimp, cashew chicken, and General Tso's chicken, but they have a huge menu. We order take out from New China about once a month. We love their Crab Rangoons and Egg Rolls. We usually get Mongolian Beef and General Tso's Chicken. The portions are large and pretty good. Not the best but pretty good. We like it for take out. read more

This is my favorite Chinese food place around here, if they did delivery we'd eat here even more, but they beat out Panda Express every time and they don't hold back on the portions. My absolute favorite thing is the wonton soup because every where else I order there is maybe one or two wontons in the soup but when I order it here they load it up! Choose new China 5 out of 5 times. Two thumbs up. Good customer service excellent food. They have EVERYTHING on the menu, if you like it they probably make it. Although the owner can feel rushy at times, I always look forward to coming here. The shrimp fried rice is so good and the shrimp is nice and juicy. Have only ate here once out of my numerous Chinese food experiences elsewhere... And I have to say that this was by far the best ! I had the happy family which the scallops and sauce were delishhh not to mention that their fried rice was to die for and at no extra charge. Now the egg roll, well that's what I call an egg roll ! I have recently moved here from Chicago and was looking for Chinese that is similar to what we had there. This is a restaurant that is in a strip mall and you wouldn't think that it would be good but the taste is spot on. The only thing I no that was different was the hot & sour soup. We got 2 dishes here yesterday - I got Beef with Mixed Vegetables, and my husband got Happy Family. I have never had beef like this in any restaurant in this area; it was all gristle! I hope I can attach photos to this review. I was unable to eat any of my meat. There was little else, only a few vegetables on top. My husband had only a little beef, and it was inedible. He thought the rest was fine. I brought the huge amount of gristle back this afternoon to show the woman at checkout, without making any kind of scene, waiting until they were free. She called the man in the back to see it; and their response was that "all beef" is "same thing." In every beef dish, it is all 100% inedible gristle! She seemed embarrassed, and she asked me what I wanted; chicken or shrimp "much better", she said. In shock, said that I want them to change the beef they use, change the cook... She only did offer more food but I was so shocked that this beef was deemed acceptable by the restaurant that I decided against any other meat, fearing the quality may not be all it should be. Another caution: I had noticed a pounding heart as well after eating the vegetables, so I decided to take a break from some of my favorite types of food (asian) and enjoy home cooking instead. Maybe look up which dishes are prone to it. I will not go back, but if you go to New China, you probably should try the chicken or shrimp! read more

We eat take it from here at least three times a month, and have for years. Although maybe not the absolute best you can get, we think it's the best around this area. I laugh every time we order as they have never had anyone answering the phone who was fluent in English, and you wonder what you will actually get, but we have never ever had a mistake in the order. We usually ask for custom changes to the entrees for our taste and they never complain and get it right. The new egg rolls are perhaps healthier than before, but we liked the old monster rolls full of cabbage. They are more like everyone else's now, but still good. The dishes are seasoned well and a good amount for the money. I hope that they never close, as I don't know where we will get food as good without driving to Southlake or such. read more

We have been coming here for about ten years now. We love this place. It's looked the same since we first started coming here. Food is so fresh and hot that they definitely need to upgrade their plastic utensils. I always seem to grab one that starts to melt at an end. So bring your own if you can. Today, I had my son pick up food from there for lunch after getting their menu in the mail. I don't know what these other people have been eating but our food was terrible. We ordered Beef Curry with Onions, Cashew Chicken, and Wontons. Neither of us could stomach the taste of the curry dish and the wontons were so hard you could barely bite them. Two years have passed since my last review at this establishment. I don't know what happened to the old staff but the standards have dropped. I ordered the normal item over the phone. I didn't receive a proper hello or any greeting. When I ordered he did not read back the order completely. I should have known something was wrong then. When I got to the restaurant to pick up my order, no one was at the counter. The worker was in the bathroom. He opened the door on the phone and CLEARLY did not wash his hands. Then I stood for 5 minutes waiting for him to get off the phone while my food was sitting there getting cold. No apologies. No thank you. No goodbye. I'm so unimpressed with the quality in food and service. I will not be returning. read more

We go here about once a week. It's the only Chinese food place my kids like. I am not always happy when I get home and they've forgotten something or get something different than I asked for. This is my spot for Chinese in the area! They're really great about making things vegetarian for me. My most had item from their menu is the broccoli with garlic sauce. It's a huge portion for a relatively cheap price. Their fried rice is really delicious and probably what keeps me coming back to them. However, as of my last visit, they seemed to have changed the way they do their rice. Pork fried rice used to come standard with most entrees (they were always gracious about removing the pork or substituting vegetables for me), but last time they charged extra for fried rice. Not sure if that was a one time deal or what. The lady who is usually at the counter is pretty terse and might be mistaken for rude, but once she gets to know you she softens a bit. NY style Chinese food. Egg rolls are normal size coming from that region. The spring rolls which they call egg rolls at other places were unsatisfactory in TX. Its worth going just for that. Quick service. Ambiance lacking inside but it has a large eat in area compared to most places. read more
