Don't let the appearance fool you... this is a real gem, run by an extremely nice family who obviously takes pride in their work and cares about great customer service! I don't see many reviews here, but some from a while back are negative; although their sign out front still says "Dragon Palace", the menu shows it is the "New Dragon Palace", and it seems like the current family is working on updating things as much as they can along the way (in their spare time ;-p). They are a very small team, so I would give them some room to grow into better appearances.. We came and ate in the restaurant, which - again is not very pretty, and the bathroom was broken, but service was fast, and a cut above with attention to detail, extra offerings, and friendly. Additionally, my kids loved the fun chopsticks with characters on top that you could buy which are reusable - especially my son, who is not often adept at the use of chopsticks...these take the hard work out of it for anyone who normally struggles with chopsticks! Now for the food -- most of the menu has many familiar Chinese meals that you will find at many other similar places, but quite honestly, everything about each dish was better than those other places. The vegetables were fresh and crispy, not soggy or limp like many other restaurants. The seafood portions were more than generous and well-presented -- I personally highly recommend the Triple Seafood Szechuan Style meal - it came complete with lobster tail (cut, IN-THE-SHELL!!), shrimp, scallops, and vegetables; every piece of seafood was prepared well and will not disappoint! My only wish is that it was more Szechuan, as I love spicy food (wishing for those REALLY spicy black peppers you see sometimes), but even this was accommodated as they offered me hot pepper oil to go with it! Great Stuff!! Eggrolls and springrolls were awesome, and even my daughter commented these were likely the best she's ever had; I have to agree they are great and highly recommend... We all tried General Tso's chicken as well, and all of us agreed it was the best General Tso's we've ever had - the chicken was crispy, not soggy or squishy as is often the case, yet still covered in that delicious sauce you already know and love! Bottom line - look past the lack of atmosphere and focus on the food and the great family running this place... you will not be disappointed and will end up telling your friends the same! I was literally the last customer. don't know if it was rushed as they were closing but it was HORRIBLE I asked for pork fried rice they gave greasy rice the boneless pork was "ok". The second order was pork Lo Mein with sweet and sour chicken. I must say that is WORST LO MEIN I EVER ATE, no flavor it tasted burnt also the chicken also lacked flavor. I will never order from here. I tried to order but was having trouble with verifying my order by phone. It would only let me put in 3 of the 4 digits needed. I called to try another way to order and couldn't understand what she was saying. She proceeded to tell at me because I could not understand her. She kept asking when did I place my order because she didn't have my order. 4 times I repeated that I couldn't verify the order and needed to try another way. She just kept repeating that my order wasn't there which I knew. She was arguing with me for several minutes before I decided to order from another restaurant. It ended up being cheaper and it was delivered with a tip. I wish I could give zero stars since I never got to eat the food. read more

I was staying a local hotel for an early next day flight. Asked the manager for something quick and reliable. He recommended NDP as it was one of his staffs favorite. Easy order, quick service and very good. The hot and sour soup could have had a few more veggies etc, rice was okay and the lo mein was very good. The food was yummy! Only reason that it isn't 5 stars is that my boyfriend and I were freezing our private parts off because there's no heat in the restaurant. It also smelled of a strong cleaning chemical which isn't bad to most, but I have a sensitive sense of smell. The fish tank with pounds of algae right by the dining area wasn't exactly pleasant either. I found this -hole in the wall- place by accident and discovered what a gem I found! while the atmosphere is not the best the food was awesome! The egg rolls were scrumptious and the pork fried rice was very tasty--the broccoli and chicken had big pieces of chicken and plenty of vegetables--best chinese food I have had in ages! and the portion sizes were great...the prices were agreeable as well... I cannot stop thinking about the food there and am going there tomorrow for lunch and bringing some hungry guys along from my work..very very good food--portions and prices!! First time customer. Called for delivery on a Saturday night. They said it would be about an hour. They were close. Food was still warm. Got a pupu platter and pork loin mein. Chicken on a stick was very good. Found the lo mein a bit salty for me, but all in all, good food for the money. read more

We ordered food at 7:17. We were told 30-45 minutes, not 10 minute like every other Chinese restaurant in the US. At 8:18 the food still had not arrived and we called to find out where it was they said on it way. At 8:40 it still had not arrived. (we were at a hotel 2.1 miles away) We called and they told us she should be here in 2 mins. 5 mins later our order finally arrived. Only took an 1 hour 40 mins after ordering and an hour later than they had quoted us. Ridiculous!! read more

This was by far the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I love Chinese food. All types and all ways made. The won ton skins were as thick as tortillas and tasted like raw bread dough. The broth was canned. The so called chow mein noodles were fat fried dough chips. The beef snow peas was all I could eat but it was so salty I could only eat a few bites.
