From the owner beign an active part in this buisness. To the food being of high quality and taste. This is a must visit for grinder lovers. You could come back here for several weeks and never eat the same sandwich. Watching them make your sandwich in front of you seeing the fresh ingredients being added is absolutely a treat. Space wise its a little smaller then one would hope however if your into some great music and listen to happy voices you've gotta stick around. Taking an order to go is just as good the sandwiches are double wrapped in butcher paper. My suggestion is the broccoli cheese soup with the balboa or adventurous get the fat bastard. But you dont have a bad choice on this menu. They do have tuna, egg and chicken salad subs or cups. From their salads to soups theres truly not a bad vegan choice either. So sit back relax and enjoy a east coast grinder. read more

My grinder was really good. I went at prime lunch time, so there was a bit of a wait. I got a 6" hero and it was just enough to fill me up.

Stopped in for an Italian Grinder. Great quality bakery bread and fresh ingredients. I had driven by this nondescript building many many times and I wish I had stopped by earlier. Friendly, good prices and you can tell by the lunch rush that they have a lot of business and repeat customers. Plan to try the salads on the next visit. Great job I'll be back soon! read more

Visited New England Grinders when I was in the area. I had driven past this place countless times and usually it's not when they are open. Walked in and approached the counter and decided to order an Italian Grinder which is listed first in the menu board. They operate like similar sand which/sub shops in the area, freshly oven baking orders as they come in. There was plenty of seating for dine in and you'll notice some creative signs on the wall used a decor. Once you place your order, pick a seat and then pickup your order at the far end of the counter, similar to Panera's setup. I have to say, my cravings of the day was actually a French Dip which isn't on the menu. But in talking with the employees I may be able to get this on a future visit by order the Philly with a cup of au jus that's used for heating the roast beef. Seems to do carry out well as for packaging as they have lots of carry out/ delivery orders for industrial companies in the area. Will I travel for it, no. But if in the area and want to grab lunch, sure. read more

Wonderful hole-in-the-wall shop that's well worth the visit. Subs are on crisp French baguette with fresh ingredients. Husband is a Philly Cheesesteak fan, and he loved his sub. Mine was a simple roast beef with Swiss cheese. In both subs the beef had a good hearty beef flavor that indicated top quality beef. Staff was warm and friendly, and we waited only a few minutes for our sandwiches. As someone who grew up in New England, these are, indeed, true New England grinders. So much better and meat-heavy than local sub franchises. We're officially fans and will be back often! I've got to try the Clam Chowder next time! read more

Today I had The Fat Bastard from New England Grinders. A delicious sandwich that is also slightly confusing. You have a bully in the room with the Italian sausage pushing everyone around. At the same time the corned beef is stuck in the corner hoping someone notices him. All this while the Italian sub itself is screaming loudly without me you both are nothing.  Again, delicious but not for the faint of heart or someone wearing tight pants. This is one of the best sandwich shops in the area. read more

Came here on Friday for lunch, I have driven past this restaurant a few dozen times and have never stopped in. I was pleasantly surprised with the food. As soon as you walk in the counter is to the right and the menu is above that, the order is placed at the counter and then if eating in sit at the table with your number and when the food is ready it will be brought out to you. I ordered the New England clam chowder and it was pretty good with little pieces of clam and potatoes and wasn't to rich. It was also piping hot. I also ordered on the suggestion of the worker behind the counter the Italian Grinder with banana peppers, mayo, lettuce and tomato added. This sandwich was brought out hot out of the oven. It was really good and probably one of the best grinders I have had in Cincinnati and much better than Penn Station or any other Sub chains. The price for a bowl of chowder is 2.78 and for a six inch Italian grinder $4.74. A note about getting in the lot, can't take a left on 747 to get in, have to pull down to the next driveway and drive around the back. The decor and ambiance seems to be lacking, but a sign on a few doors said they are remodeling soon. After talking with the owner he said they just started serving breakfast grinders as well. read more

As far as sub sandwiches go, New England Grinders is in a class of its own. The sandwiches we ordered, chicken cordon bleu and an Italian were purr-fectly toasted. We also picked up several cups of New England clam chowder, that were out-of-this-world. If comparing to Penn Station, these sandwiches are not greasy and as mentioned before, baked. Live on opposite side of the city but was visiting a client near this place. After my meeting I was looking for a place to eat and did a quick search on Yelp and this placed popped up. Popular lunch spot and appears the do a lot of to-go orders as well. Tried the Gyro grinder and it was pretty good. Also got the potato salad, which they advertise as loaded potato, and it was less than satisfying. Potatoes weren't cooked long enough and therefore were hard. Would hit up again and try one of their good looking soups. read more

Wow! I wasn't sure where to eat for lunch today, but this little gem popped up in Urban Spoon, so I asked about it to a coworker and he promptly recommended it. Small, diner atmosphere and the street signage is small at best. The employees were courteous and I was informed they deliver to my work location which is a plus. This will most definitely not be my only time enjoying these fine grinders. I had the gyro and a side of baked potato salad (bacon & cheese) for under $10 and boy, was it worth it. So, everything in this place looks delicious and all of my coworkers rave about their grinders. I wouldn't know about anything but their chicken noodle soup. It is the BEST I've ever had. Let me explain. I'm a chicken noodle soup snob. I make my own chicken stock, cut fresh veggies and roast my own chicken for my homemade soup...which is now the 2nd best chicken soup I've ever had. I now have their soup 2-3 days a week when I'm in town. It's that good. And I haven't even mentioned the people. This is the nicest group of people and they genuinely appreciate your business. East Coast - New England Grinders in name only. Got the meatball sub (would love to have said GRINDER) but the bread is actually a French baguette. Meatballs and sauce are obviously store bought as they are the small perfectly round meatballs found at Costco (BJ's for true New Englanders...) that Subway uses and sauce is a similar based jar sauce. Overall the food is typical Midwest poser food and does not remotely resemble an "East Coast - New England Grinder" in any way, shape or form!!! The name does not reflect the product. read more

After looking at the reviews, I was really excited to try this place. I called and placed my order and the girl told me that there were just two of them there so it would take extra time plus we were out of their normal delivery area, but they didn't mind doing it bc they were dead. I was excited to try a place with such good reviews and I was going to tip well bc they were going out of the way. A half hour later I received a call from a guy stating he had just looked at directions and didn't "realize how far it was" and they all of a sudden got busy.
