I moved with a different moving company in 2014 and it costed me an arm and a leg and it took forever - I had to leave for work, came back, the move still wasn't over, the whole process was very exhausting this year just the idea of moving gave me anxiety... luckily i was referred to California Moving inc and couldn't be happier!! The move went sooo smooth and took 4 hours only with exactly the same amount of furniture!! They showed up on time, did an excellent job packing/ loading/ unloading, didn't scratch or damaged anything, assembled my bed - last time I had to do it myself at like 12 am, it was depressing .. I have so many experiences with different moving companies not only in LA ( 6 different ones in LA) but also other states due to my job requirement of relocating. This company moved us 2 weeks ago. Our movers Max and Shahrom were fast, professional and friendly. The entire move took about 4.75 hours, which was great, considering, we lived on the second floor of a building with one elevator that everyone was using while we moved. I chosed this company because of the voucher and the introductory rate of $50/hour (with a 3 hour minimum) and I was glad I did. We had a 1 bedroom apartment and requested 2 movers. The team arrived at 11 AM and started right away. Victor was great. He has the best positive attitude and was super helpful. They even tried to lift a couch that wouldn't fit through 2 different windows and they wouldn't give up. I was impressed with the dedication and perseverance they put on it. DO NOT USE THEM!!!! I was scheduled with them for 9am Saturday. My house was all packed up and ready to go. At 9:15 when they hadn't showed up I called and no answer. I then texted asking what time they would be arriving. Their iphone showed that they read my message. I then called back a few minutes later only to be clicked to voicemail after two rings. I kept calling and texting asking them to please answer and that it was ok with they were late but just needed some info. I kept texting and calling to no response. This moving company is absolutely amazing. Two guys showed up 15 min early on the day of my move and got right to work. They didn't stop for anything, even when I offered them water they thanked me but didn't take the time to even drink it. They worked so hard and so fast, yet were so careful with my things. Even older items that aren't that valuable to me were carefully wrapped. This company supplied all materials (bubble wrap, packing blankets, etc) and didn't charge extra for anything. Everything is included in the hourly rate. They moved my entire two room apartment from Hollywood to north Hollywood in 3 hours. Victor was especially awesome and even offered to assemble furniture once it was placed in my new home. I will ALWAYS use this moving company. They made my move easy!!! read more

One of the fastest moves I had! From the get go they were really nice and professional. I was very frustrated when my other movers canceled on me, last minute I called California movers and they gave me a great deal and came the next day and worked really fast. I had a lot of antique furniture and they moved it to my new house with out any scratch. The guy on the phone was really nice and understanding. I am really happy with there move. I cannot say enough about these movers... I originally found them on Google and I was a bit hesitant because I read some of their bad yelp reviews, I did read some of their better reviews and decided to take a risk. I called on a Thursday for a Saturday move and the guy who took my order (nick) was very helpful and gave me 2 phone numbers he could be reached at on the day of my move. My move was Memorial Day weekend and my movers were great! Pavel and victor showed up 15 minutes early and from the second they showed up they were extremely courteous and time efficient. They provided me with wardrobe boxes and did a great job wrapping my mirrors and furniture. I will say I did have a lot of boxes and my furniture was pretty heavy but they managed to move me in 4 hours! ( I moved a 2 bedroom apt) I was very very pleased with how professional they were and of course quick. I had no hidden costs, no damaged furniture. Definitely would use them again! read more

Movers refused the job and left without saying a word!!! The house was completely packed and ready to go. When I Booked the move I explained that I had very heavy items. I sent photos just so they would have a clear understanding. Was told I would only need 2 movers. Two Movers arrived on time. The older gentleman said I would need 3 movers. He said it would take a long time to load the truck. He said he needed to call his manager to see about getting a 3rd mover. I asked him to also give me the new per hour fee for Having 3 movers. I asked him if the move took a long time, was he still willing to do the job. He said he didn't know and needed to call his manager. I was expecting the move to take at least 5 hours, as discussed when I booked. The driver went outside to make his call. I looked out of the window a few minutes later and he, his partner and the truck were gone!! No explanation. No goodby, they just left! It took me over two hours to find another company to move me at the last minute on a Sunday!!! It has been over a week and no one from this company has returned my call to offer an explanation, let alone an apology. read more

I was treated very unfairly today by California moving INC. Today was my moving day from apartment to my new garage. the movers were supposed to show up at 8 am. At 8.37 am (iPhone record), I started to worry and called the company. of course, no one picked up the phone so I left a message. At 8.49 am, I got a call from one of the movers to let me know that they were waiting for a truck. He said it should take them about 30 mins to come over. I was waiting until 9.29 am (IPhone record) when I decided to call the mover directly to find out what was going on. He said he was on his way and was going to take about 15 mins to be at the apartment. They showed up at almost 10 am and at best started to move things around that time. I have to say I really like all the movers. They were professional, pleasant and basically did their jobs. I always have a soft spot for hard working people. Moving is a hard job. So after we were done uploading all my stuff in the truck, I offered to buy Pad Thai for them as a nice gesture to thank them for their hard works. When we arrived at my home, we took about 20 minute break to eat Pad Thai. After that, we unloaded stuff and packed them very nicely. Again they did wonderful job in putting stuff in my garage. I looked at my iPhone and we were unloading the last piece around 3.41 pm. Meanwhile, my brother and his girlfriend showed up to look at my new home. While I was busy with my family, one of the guys approached me and told me that the total time was 7 hours from 9 am to 4 pm. I was SPEECHLESS and STUNNED. I did not want to challenge or argue with the guy while my family was there. There is absolutely no way that they worked for 7 hours when they arrived almost at 10 am, took 20 minutes for lunch and unloaded the last box at 3.41 pm. As the matter of fact, the total working hours would be only 5 hours and 30 mins. I do not mind paying hard working crew up to 6 hours but 7 hours are a ripped off. All the good feeling that I had for the crew went down the drain after I paid my cash $665. Before they left, they offered a discount of $20 if I wrote them a good review. The catch is that they had to see me write the review before they left. I finally turned it down. I rather write what was really happening so that the next customers were aware of their practice, not only being 2 hours late but also overcharging customers. In conclusion, I can not, do not and will not recommend California moving INC to anyone. I feel I was unfairly treated today. read more
