My husband and I were moving from a house on the side of a mountain (46 steps from the street to the door) to a home in the middle of the city with a limited timeline. 4US Moving responded to my project request quickly, was super helpful with my questions, and confirmed that they could handle the move and there would be no additional charges for the steps. They provided a clear quote and contract via email and text to confirm the appointment, which gave me visibility to the costs. On the day of the move, the foreman called me 45 minutes before arrival and again, 5 minutes before arrival. They arrived in the stated period and we did a walkthrough of the home where I pointed out what was to be packed up in each room. Once completed, the foreman started the time and they got to work. They packed up a one-bedroom, 1100 sqft home and unloaded at the new location in just 5 hours. They were kind, respectful and super fast, which we appreciated. Got a ton of quotes before I started, and 4US was really easy to chat with and set things up -- and their deal was smart and well-reasoned and well-priced. On the day, we had 5 men and 2 trucks show up, led by Tommy, who was easy to talk to, very eager to help, and clearly just wanted to do a fantastic job. Nick and the 2 other guys were great. Super professional and really on it. They asked to take a break about 2 hours in and took a 10-15 min break and that was it for the day other than a lunch break on a 8+ hour day. They were clean and careful with all things that needed moving or tossing. Had to remove a door to get an armoire through it and took it off and replaced it with ease. When Ioooked at these 3 guys I was skeptical about their strength but never heard a grunt or complain with all the heavy items. They were courteous and took really nice care and were aware if their professionalism. Would definitely use this company again and request the crew I had. Very friendly and accommodating! I had a difficult move where their truck could not fit up a narrow dirt road leading up to my new house. They parked at the bottom of the road and brought everything up to the house. Not to mention I came from a second story building with no elevator. They were efficient and the price was fair. Had the service today and to be honest, I am extremely disappointed. When I called to book, I was concerned about the time for afternoon but was told by 12 pm or so they should be able to start heading to my job with the promise they usually end the jobs earlier. So they booked me for 2-4pm window. They showed up past 4pm. The guys did a great job packing but I ended up receiving several complaints at a new place because the move was not done until 10pm which is extremely unprofessional and a disturbance to my new neighbors. And then one of the crew members kept pressuring me to write a 5 star review and talking about tips during the move that was not even done and I was extremely concerned about the noise level and the late time. Should have gone with a different company that honors what they promise on the phone. This ended up being a nightmare move. I wanted an earlier service and the whole situation could have been avoided. Unnecessary delay. Again, the crews worked hard but they are horrible with promises of time and weird behavior about charges.
