We were super happy with our movers from Excalibur!!! They did a quick initial inspection to see how much stuff we had to move, and then they got right to it. Joel, H. Moreno, and Oscar R. were careful and super attentive. They made sure our furniture would not get damaged and wrapped everything nicely as well. They weren't stingy with it. Really impressed by the outstanding service we received on our most recent move by Excalibur...the service and personnel were sensational and were a true 5* experience. I recommend them highly and would use again. Everyone was helpful and kind - from the front office, the estimate person, to the physical movers were all great. Easy to setup a date and get a quick estimate with do not exceed price, and the day of move went incredibly smoothly. They were kind enough to make an actual live visit/inspection at our one bedroom condo in Sherman Oaks, for a move to Brentwood. They gave us a couple different options for pricing and crews. To their credit, they showed up with more guys than we thought we needed, but got it done faster than anticipated and $1,000 under budget. The team was hard working, friendly, professional and kind and did an excellent job. Everything about the experience was positive - they worked diligently from 9am to 4pm, got it done faster than anticipated and under budget and with smiles on their faces. This was our first time using Excalibur to move houses. We were given a large window of the time the movers would arrive which I would prefer a smaller time frame as the movers ended up showing earlier than the first available time option. The movers were great, they were quick and careful. Having items ready to go helped the process. The took apart one of our tables fairly easily. TVs went into boxes. In total it was around 3 hours and it was all moved to the next location. Great experience and would recommend. read more

We tried Excalibur based on its stellar reviews and they did not disappoint. From arrangements with Luis to Nicholas and his friendly and competent crew, our move from the high desert to Santa Monica went off as smoothly as could be. Crew arrived at 8:10, the early size of their window, and they powered through until after 6pm. They went above and beyond for us throughout, and did everything with a smile. They were respectful of our space and our items all day long, even after I was exhausted and overwhelmed from the long day. I so appreciated their professionalism and uber competence. Niceness is unnecessary with movers but was a lovely plus. I felt like we hired family to move us and not people we just met! If you're in the market for movers of any size, save yourself the research we did for you. These guys are the best, bar none. And with the competition in L.A., that speaks volumes. I can't express how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this moving company. This is my 2nd tme using their service and I am floored everytime I hire them for their services. There is a minimum of 3 hours to hire them for 2-3 men for the move. My move was minor with 15-20 boxes moving from my garage in the valley into another space in east LA. So I had 2 helpful movers for today. I basically needed to move somen boxes into a new classroom I was setting up for. The move went so smoothly from the arrival at 7:20am to the final wrap up hour. I was elated with joy from the professional service to the efficiency in the entire moving experience. Nicolas & Tony were my movers and they excelled at delilverying excellent service. We had extra time within the 3 hour window of delivery that I had them help me put up bulletin board paper in my new classroom. They were such great sports of helping me open up and unpack every box and they were so sincere in their service the entire time. I coulnd't have asked for better movers than Nicolas & Tony. read more

Aaron and his crew were amazing! The scheduling was easy, lots of communication along the way. The crew took care of all of my belongings. We moved on the one day day in LA that it rained hard, but they were still able to work efficiently and stay on schedule. Fantastic. 5/5 would recommend. Everyone from the front office, the estimate guy, to the physical movers were all great. Easy to setup a date and get a quick estimate with do not exceed price, and the day of move went incredibly smoothly. We had a 2 story 2 bedroom townhome move including: A king and queen sized beds, 3 massive garage storage cabinets (85x48x20), and wanted to swap appliances at our new home (washer dryer and Fridge) (this meant two trips). We had their biggest truck and had it full to the brim. We opted to have a team of 6 on the day of the move to save time and it was worth it (we were still below the do not exceed price) The moving guys were pretty well organized and made sure to ask where things go before they put them into a room at the new house. read more

This company is horrible. They quoted me 1500 dollars after I showed them pics and videos of my stuff. It wound up costing me close to 3000 dollars to just move my stuff to their storage unit. They don't tell you it cost 200 dollars per hour to look at any of your items in storage. That cost me 600 more dollars. Then they charged my credit card 400 dollars without me knowing. I paid all that money to have my stuff in storage in Chatsworth, then they moved all my stuff to Van nuys without telling any of their customers. I guess they were moving themselves. It cost me close to 2500 dollars to move my stuff back to Chatsworth. They didn't even offer to help me move back. I am currently reporting them to the better business bureau. Lily is rude and talks down to you. She said their company is a VIP company and they are not a public storage place. Well I was part of the public who mistakenly tried using Yelp reviews to pick a company. I bet they pay people off to remove their bad reviews. I will never use yelp again. This company ruined it for me. Money is this companies goal. Not helping people. Good luck, once they have your money and items. They are terrible. read more

We were moving into a three-bedroom place packed with furniture, so we needed a reliable moving crew. After hearing horror stories about movers, we were cautiously optimistic about Excalibur--and boy, did they deliver! Jonathan, the guy we dealt with, was awesome. He kept us in the loop, answered all our questions, and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. On moving day, the crew showed up right on time and got to work. These guys were total pros--careful with our stuff, wrapping everything up to protect it, and handling our furniture as if it was theirs. Those guys really take their job seriously! The price was fairly competitive and no surprises at the end, which is always a worry with movers. What they quoted us was what we paid (and that's a big deal in this industry lol) If you're moving and want to skip the stress, these are your guys. We just moved offices with Excalibur and the 4 guys that they sent were incredible. A big shoutout to Aaron, Rubin, Angel and Fabio for accomodating every hiccup that we ran into. The fire dept were having fire drills, the elevators were working then not, there was wait times, this went on all day, and delayed us, etc, etc. I can go on and on. All of you had so much patience with us, and wanted to just make sure to calm our stress, and get us moved without anymore bumps. Then the new office bulding had small elevators and we needed a fob to get up to our floor. Then the furniture had to be repostioned in some of the rooms to make all fit. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you soooo much for making the move go so smooth considering all what was thrown at you guys. I would rate these 4 guys with a 10 * not only 5.* We will definately refer then to anyone moving whether it be residential or commercial. read more

Wow! I can't say enough great things about this company. Aaron and his team were so kind, respectful, and efficient with our move. They game planned what they would move first and what they would assemble first in our new place. All of our items remained in excellent condition and they kept us informed of the moves very productively. To top it all off they moved all of the items from the third floor of an apartment building that has no elevator so they moved everything down stairs, which was quite a feat, but they did it with a smile on their face. Moving sucks - Excalibur made it suck a lot less! Great value with competitive pricing. First, they do a zoom walk through of your home and give you an estimate, and they guarantee it won't go over that estimate, so no day of surprises. On the day, the crew was Omar, Fernando, and Oscar R. And they were all so helpful, attentive, and quick! And then when we arrived at the new place, they put everything in the room it needed to be in, and put our mattresses back on beds. So helpful! After a FaceTime walk-through of the house, they gave a reasonable estimate with a "maximum" amount. They came in and moved everything carefully and quickly, and did an excellent job. At the end, they actually came in well below the maximum amount. I have no complaints. The guys were personable and asked the right questions about where things should go. They knew how to disassemble and reassemble the furniture. We had already boxed up what we could so that made things easier. Overall, extremely satisfied. Please note that this review was unsolicited. Moving can be difficult, even under the best circumstances, and these guys made things go so smoothly. read more

My wife and I have been searching for a moving company to relocate from Los Angeles to the Mid West. After looking at various competitors, we noticed that Excalibur was one of the top recommendations. Their service and communication were exceptional. However, the offer we received was not what we expected. We were given a rough estimate of a minimum of $6,000 for moving a one-bedroom apartment. This included one dresser, one TV stand, two 55-inch TVs, one king-size bed, and one desk. We planned to box everything else ourselves. We didn't have any large items like pianos and were on the first floor of an apartment. For us, $6,000 was too burdensome. We managed to find other moving companies in the local Burbank area that would do it for less than half the price and offer the same level of service. These smaller businesses seemed to offer more flexibility. Unfortunately, we were not able to move with Excalibur. Based on our experience and after reviewing their website and other reviews, we do not recommend Excalibur for long-distance moves. They might be a good fit for central areas, but definitely not for state-to-state relocations. read more

I have moved every one to two years for the past decade, unfortunately. I have used several different moving companies. My sister used Excalibur for her move a couple weeks ago and recommended them to me. The movers were very professional and pleasant. They moved quickly and I was able to complete my move in the amount of time that I had expected. They brought to my attention a piece of furniture that was damaged. I appreciated them coming forward with that and explained that I had damaged it in a prior move. They assembled a couple heavy pieces of furniture surprisingly quick. We tipped so much for OK moving services because they shoved that in our face after. Not one member of the crew offered to get the items that didn't make the truck. Even though we tipped $600. They did want our old computers and wanted to take some things - they were polite and asked but looking back - this was overpriced and under delivered. I hired ONE guy on Task Rabbit the next day and he was the equivalent of Royal Moving's entire team. Don't get me wrong, the guys were nice, courteous and fun but business is business and we got ripped off.

They moved my stuff in record time and took care of everything really well. However.... after the move, some shiesty things happened. They said that they couldn't take a credit card and would only accept Zelle, but charged me the credit card price which is $20 more per hour. The owner tried to say that there's some sort of fees, but there are no fees for Zelle. The difference was well over $200 so this is why they're getting three stars and almost got two. As a business owner, I can't really refer them just for this reason.

They gave me a two hour gap of when they would be arriving and thankfully they came 30 minutes after the start window. Once it was the day of the move I received a text and e-mail that they would be arriving shortly. The movers had wrap to protect the furniture and blankets to the protect the more delicate items. Prompt, efficient, communicative and reliable. I highly recommend them for your next move.

All of them were very careful with everything and would check in and ask questions when needed, which I appreciated. You can tell they take pride in what they do, everything was wrapped and handled in a way that made me feel comfortable that nothing would get damaged. They were also super efficient without being careless. They worked well together and kept things moving without it feeling rushed. I am really happy with their service (as stressful as moving is and also needing to down size homes as well) - they took a massive load off, no pun intended. They were very cost effective and I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing to book A+ movers!

We ended up working with Dottie, who was incredibly easy to work with. She set a cheerful tone from the moment she arrived and helped us make some tough choices to get rid of stuff, while being very respectful of things we did not want to get rid of. Ultimately, we felt it was a good value as well. We had Dottie for about 5 hours, accomplished more than we were hoping to, and felt the bill was very fair. The final invoice was also split with the deposit, which we paid a couple weeks in advance during the scheduling process, so the final invoice wasn't nearly as bad as we hoped. All in all, we would definitely recommend ClutterGirl.

I planned on keeping the car in storage for 2 months, and they were flexible with me on arranging when to drop it off. I ended up having to drop the car off 3 weeks earlier than expected and it was not a problem. When I dropped off the car, Alex and Alan were super assertive in explaining how the car would be stored. I also ended up picking up the car earlier than expected and they had my car ready within the hour and I got to keep the car cover and battery tender I bought for next time. I also liked the fact that Stephanie kept my contract open in the event I needed to bring the car back, she was so accommodating. I will ABSOLUTELY be using this service again !!!

TLDR: they are efficient for the price and I would still recommend them…read more -- You get what you pay for! Would give 3.5 stars if we could do half stars tbh I hired 4 movers for my 1 bedroom apartment - it took them 6 hours. Before tip this was about $1200 This was the cheapest quote I got and I figured "how different can it be". This is only my second time using movers but I believe they could've done better. Overall: it was fine. The guys are very nice, they took their shoes off for the carpet, they took time and care to wrap up fragile items like tv and glass tables, and I would probably use them again if I had to! Now into the reason for the -1.5 stars The weird part is: they asked me, in the middle of the move, to buy them snacks, coffee, and water - because the move started at 6:15am and they "didn't have time to eat". It's not my responsibility to feed you.... I don't care that the move was early in the morning. Wake up earlier. But I'm ANXIOUS - So I go and spend $50 to get these guys breakfast Then at the end they ask for /pressure you into a tip. Which again, is very weird behavior. I wish I would've taken the $50 breakfast off the tip to be honest. But again: I am anxious and a people pleaser so I gave them each $50 for a total of $200. In my opinion: They did not take time or care to properly reassemble furniture. I had to ask them to clip the sectional couch back together, my bed drawers were put together wrong, we keep finding random screws around the house that got left out of things. Etc And WORST OF ALL They didn't take care or time to read any of the boxes that were labeled. At the end I had to tell them to put the boxes in the rooms that were written, clear as day, on each of them. The boxes with big red fragile stickers were ignored. One guy says "where do you want this" because he things the box is blank, and I turn it over, hear all the glass clattering, and the top of the box is covered in fragile stickers with arrows along the side pointing to keep that side up. Assuming the best in people, I think there was a language barrier and that's maybe why they didn't read the boxes. However, the big red sticker w glass breaking on it should be universal

I am leaving this review to formally document an extremely unprofessional and unacceptable…read moreexperience with this company. Prior to the move, I discussed pricing and payment terms directly with the owner/manager and confirmed the agreed-upon amount. However, when the movers arrived, they immediately demanded cash up front and refused to provide any services unless payment was made on the spot. This directly contradicted the prior agreement. After loading the couches, they demanded an additional $100 that had never been disclosed or authorized. The situation felt coercive and inappropriate. In addition to the payment dispute, the movers caused multiple damages: * One of the couches was damaged. * The garage door was damaged. * A component of the security system on the back door was broken. Furthermore, one of the workers raised his voice and yelled at my wife and daughter. This behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. When I contacted the company to request information regarding their insurance coverage for the damages, they refused to provide any details. This company demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect. I strongly advise others to proceed with caution.
