After a plumber confirmed it was an HVAC issue, Mario with New Era was the first HVAC company to get back to me. He came out on a Sunday which is hard to find. He quickly assessed the issue and got back to me with a quote. He came out and finished the job the very next day. I'm not an hvac expert, obviously, but Mario was straight up and I didn't feel like I was being upsold on anything. I feel like the price was fair for what needed to be done. My problem: AC not cooling and making loud noise intermittently. Review: I had a budget to stick to and I appreciated that Mario worked to accommodate that budget. He communicated all the steps in the repair and explained in layman's terms what parts were affected and what their purpose was. He showed me the old parts he took out as well. He even cleaned my AC, something I didn't even know was necessary. He imparted info and gave advice on AC maintenance as well. Each time I thought he was going to try to sell me a product or a service, he didn't. I was simply given advice and information. I was pretty jaded at the beginning of this transaction because I've been ripped off before trying to get this AC repaired, so I was waiting for someone to try something, or find something else, etc. Instead I feel good I hired New Era. Mario answered the request for service and then some. He answered and provided a time along with price for service. Mario walked me through what he would be doing on the mini split as I needed refrigerant. Rather than just refilling and leaving. Mario stated he wanted to check where the leak is or if there is a leak. As I had it filled 2 days prior and Mario stated that shouldn't happen. Mario basically broke it down in baby steps for me and explained step by step what he would be doing. I watch it all and I can say this man cares about providing excellent service and not just there for a pay day. He repaired the issues, refilled the refrigerant, and washed the unit and cleaned the vents. I will have Mario come back for my home AC/ Heating unit to do yearly service prior to winter. Wow, I am VERY impressed with this company. We found out on Saturday that we had to remove our AC cables so that the condo builders can replace the old wood with new wood panels and fresh paint. I knew I had to have service done on Monday so I left messages to a few places. Everyone was booked! If you know dispatch/service providers, they will give you a later appointment date when you need them most.. I was in a tight spot. Thankfully, New Era called me back and let me know they will be in my area and can make their way to service the AC. They asked for photos to give an estimate and we set an appointment. They arrived on time, they were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I really couldn't ask for better. I also forgot to mention, it was a rainy day so they definitely went the extra mile, above and beyond expectations! Our heater stopped working. I contacted New Era on a Sunday via message, he responded within 10 mins. He was able to fit me in the following day on Monday. He came on time (early actually, he called first to make sure that was okay before showing up), he was extremely professional and nice. He explained what the issue was and what needed to be done. He offered us different options. He was able to fix our heater and afterwards stayed to make sure everything was working properly. Before he started working he took pictures of what was causing the issue as well as afterwards to show us what he had done to fix the problem. He was very upfront and provided great service. After two months of waiting around for our go to vendor to go fix the AC issues, I got fed up and looked for a new guy. Mario was quick to message me back, he gave me the exact time of when he will arrive. Our tenants were able to coordinate with him as well. Upon his arrival he called me, and after his inspection he also called to tell me what was going on. Our tenants didn't have any cold air for two months, and he was kind enough to explain to me what the issue was. He also explained about the minor repairs that can save the company money and keep the rest of the tenants happy. Some vendors will do the job and not let you know about what can happen in the long run if other repairs don't get taken care of. His price was fair, and he even explained to the tenants about how the fan coil works in the building. We're already planning to doing more repairs in this building with Mario. Had a condensate overflow from my AC unit and we started developing water marks on the ceiling. Mario was very cordial on the phone/text and did not hesitate to discuss what could be the root cause. He was not "I cannot say anything until I get out there". I contacted him on a Saturday and he was able to be at my home by Sunday afternoon. Arrived in a well equipped, clean truck. with mask, gloves and was careful to put shoe covers on and off with every entry and exit and made us feel 'COVID safe'. He did a careful inspection in a rather tight attic space and presented my wife and I with a few options. He respectfully went with the option we picked and took care of the issue very professionally. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and brought us peace of mind very quickly.
