Yay! I finally found my nail salon in the area! They did an amazing job! He thoroughly cleaned my nails and cuticles and gave me a good massage. And when I dropped my wallet on my freshly painted toes on my way out the door, they fixed them, no problem. If you are looking for a swanky nail place, this is absolutely not the place for you. It is fairly run down. But, if you are looking for a high quality job at an amazingly low price, this is definitely your place. I will definitely be back. I have been going to New a Generation Nails for little over two years and think they are three things: 1.) a great value. Mani (gelish) and Pedi for $50. 2.) great service. So terrible that I needed to write this review the owner did my nails and left paint all along the sides of my nails and when I told her about she said it was because of cuticle and didn't fix it or apologize for the unpleasant experience. Nails are super weak, my friend and I went to get them done and we each have one nail broken off , I called to see if they could fix it since it hasn't been more then one week and they lady was yelling at me . This post is a little late, but I came to this place just to treat myself to a gel manicure and regular pedicure for my birthday (12/19). I called around 12 pm to inquire about an appointment in the next hour. The owner said they were flexible and penciled me in for 1. I was a little bit peeved upon arrival to find that the little place was totally busy and that I had to wait 20 minutes past 1 to have them start on me. The place is small but cute. They seem to easily book up. Honestly, that was the worst of it. The gel manicure and pedicure was fine otherwise. I paid $50 (including tip) for both. Never had I have someone do a colored french shallac manicure so precise and fast before. I was in and out in about 40 min. My nails turned out fantastic, and I will definetly be back. If you are in a hurry, not the place to go. If you make one of them mad or feel like they do not do a good job and you tell them, they make you wait even longer the next time you come in. I used to love coming here but I will never be back again. The owner did my acrylic nails and she managed to cut me on 3 fingers. She cut my pinky finger so bad to the point where it is still burning. When it was bleeding, she did nothing and had the audacity to try and stick her thumb nail into my cut to try and stop the bleeding. She had someone else ring me up so she wouldn't have to face me and see how upset I was at what she had done. I am aware that accidents can happen, but she should be more careful and not worry about trying to please everyone and get distracted by focusing on customer's wait time. I really hope my fingers do not get infected. Please find a better salon, even if it means having to drive a bit farther to San Jose, Milpitas, etc. read more

The owner took me to the back to do a Brazilian wax. She did not wash her hands prior to the wax. As she was waxing my behind the phone rang and she was on the line with someone making an apt as she waxed my butt. During this time she did not wash her hands as she was back in forth with waxing down there as well as using the business phone. it's hard adjusting to a new job, because your local nail salon that you run out to for emergency manicures also needs to change! and i moved jobs from downtown sf, where there is a plethora of options, to menlo park, where it's more expensive and options are a bit more limited. im so glad to have found new generation nails via yelp! though i've only been here twice, and only for manicures, the price cannot be beat ($12 for regular mani), and the service is fast, friendly, and pretty high quality! it's a 20 minute walk from the office, which is an investment, but im happy to make the trip! read more

Horrible service!!!!! Didn't paint my nails correctly and when I asked to fix it they denied any mistakes. And painted toes and hands a different color when I told them I wanted the same color paid $60 for the worst service of my life. They were rushed me to get out. The owner of the place didn't even say sorry. Sorry could have made it better but she even yelled and said that the color was different due to her getting new colors. The nail articians here are very professional. Im autre find of the wide selection of gels and polishes. Their swatches are numbered and organized very well so there should be no mix ups. They are very considerate if you have any issuses or certain nail preferences. They try to attend walk-ins as soon as possible but they also have people with appointments. I'm sure there's been a lot of mishaps because of this but I respect their fast and efficient considerations to both walk-ins and scheduled people. Sure there are wait times but their customers don't return for bad quality services, they nail artists obviously know what they're doing. I used to work in Menlo Park, and this salon I found here on yelp when looking for a place to go on my lunches to get a manicure. I started with the gel manicures and went regularly to have them done, and got a pedicure about once a month. This. Place. Is. Great!! (: Hannah, the owner, is such a sweet heart. I always request her, because she does such a great job on everything, and her english is really great too. She is very talkative, and remembers things about all of her clients. In addition to the gel manicures, I cant express how much I love the pedicures also. Terrible place the owner is super rude. If you go anywhere else she gets mad. I used to go because it's the nearest nail spa around but stopped going because everytime I would come in with nails from a different place she would get so upset and I would feel so uncomfortable. It's like I was nourveous to go because I knew how she is. Last straw was when I went in with a full set refill that I had gotten somewhere else and she was visibly irritated and she filed my nails so far down she burnt me and almost pierced through my nail. It took months for my nails not to hurt and go back to normal. After that I decided I would never again step foot in this place. No matter how close and convenient it was. I felt terrible for how I was treated. I know I wasn't unreasonable this was not the first time. She was also very unapologetic which made it so much worse. Forget this place! The lady was so rude, seemed to be in a rush and did not know how to follow directions. I asked for square shaped acrylics and she suggested coffin and went on and did coffin.
