What a bad experience! I went to dinner with my Mom and two cousins. It's started with the waiter and his attitude. We were able to look past that and decided to just enjoy the evening. I ordered the turkey burger patty melt, my Cousins ordered pastichio and my Mom a roast chicken. When it was served, the pastichio was soured. The odor smacked you in the face as soon as they put the plate down. The waiter knew and wanted to bring us tomato sauce to try and cover it up. We demanded that he take it back. The roast chicken was dry and uneatable. I will give credit where credit is due with the turkey burger;It was good. Instead of apologizing for the spoiled food the waiter and manager were laughing and thought it was funny. I do not recommend this diner. First, let me say that this diner is expensive, but I guess these are the times we live in! It's very clean the waiters and staff are very nice. The only issue I have besides the prices is that it was 29° outside and 60° inside very cold they could've put up the heat a little more when you first walk in it felt warm, but I couldn't wait to get to my car to put the heat on! . I firmly believe that there are hits and misses at every restaurant and dining establishment. In this case, I think I had one of these instances. It breaks my heart not to give diner food a better rating, but it is what it is for this particular time. The coleslaw that was given to us was good, so I had high hopes that this would be a great dining fair experience... We came here for dinner and ordered the fried calamari appetizer. First wrong choice. The batter of the fried calamari was completely unseasoned. I never put salt on my food and I had too in this case. The marinara dipping sauce wasn't bad, but, how can you not season the flour? Seems like an elementary mistake. I ordered the buffalo burger as my entree, and the buffalo burger is not what I got. When the server brought it to my table he kept calling it the 'deluxe' burger and I didn't claim it as mine until every one else had their dishes. There was not one shred of evidence that this burger had anything to do with buffalo seasoning/sauce. The burger was a plain burger with onion rings on top and tomato and lettuce on the side. No buffalo sauce or anything. I'm too shy to send back food so I stuck with it, just adding a ton of ketchup to compensate for the dry burger. One redeeming quality was the fact that I had subbed our regular fries for waffle fries. And their waffle fries were fantastic. In such, if you could imagine a perfect waffle fry and what it would be like, that's what these were. On the upside, my dining guests, my sister and her boyfriend both enjoyed their meals. As diners go, I think this place has a great lunch deal. For $9.99 you get soup, choice of about 12 items and a drink. I usually get a chicken salad sandwich which is huge, and after that cup of soup is more than enough to fill you up- plus they also toss out the obilgatory cole slaw and pickle - I dare you to finish it all! Great diner. Food is amazing. Went in yesterday with my youngest and she can be a handful because she is only 2 years old, but she ate pretty good yesterday. I had the Swiss omelette, home fries and a side of French fries for the baby, I shared my eggs with her because that's what dads do. Lol. But the service was good place is clean staff very attentive always asking if anything is needed played with the baby. It feels like home when you are there. I told my waitress and she did offer me something else but honestly when the food is that salty it made me lose my appetite and not only didn't I eat the potatoes I left an egg and all my toast, my Wife left all her potatoes also for same reason, so it wasn't just me. The waitress dropped the check, FULL CHARGE! I took it to the Woman at the register and told her my issue and her answer was why didn't you tell your waitress, I told her I did and she charged me full price anyway. She then tells me "Well the potatoes come with the breakfast special" and blew me off as if they are somehow free and I shouldn't expect anything! Let me explain something to you, the potatoes aren't free, I'm paying for the entire meal, which isn't exactly cheap, I don't drive past 10 other diners to get to your diner for eggs, I'm ONLY there for the potatoes, anybody can fry an egg over, I can do that at home for a buck or two! I pay 25 bucks for a complete meal not what the girl at the register thinks I'm paying for, seriously? I went here with a friend last night and had a terrible experience. Across hte board everything was bathed in salt. I order matzoh ball soup as a standard in almost every diner I go to. This place the broth was "dirty" looking and it tasted like salt water. The ball itself was mediocre at best. I ordered another one of my usual's, the eggplant parm. Again, overly salty and it fell apart into a mushy crumble of fried I-don't-even-know-what. My friend had a sandwich which she said was alright and from my side looked fairly good and a caesar salad. One bite and she says "it tastes like a salt dressing" I had some and felt the same way. When I called over the waiter ( who was not very attentive throughout the meal to begin with- in an almost empty place) and said I'd like to send it back and that my food was also over-salted and he told me to speak to the manager and pointed across the restaurant. (I was shocked, to tell a customer to get up from a meal to GO and speak to the manager) I gave him a look and he realized and told the bus boy to get the manager. He then asked me if I would like to take the eggplant parm to go which I did not understand at all. When the manager came over and I told him he tried to tell me that's how casear salad is made and then just to the salad and walked away. He did not even comment on the fact that I told him my food was not good. He did not ask my friend if she would like something instead and he was curt and rude. The waiter again came over and asked me if I would like to take my mostly untouched food to which I told him that a) he was not listening to a word I said and b) the food was terrible. Number of visits: One. Went here with my family on a cold Sunday afternoon. I was expecting it to be busy, but it wasn't. Personally ordered corned beef hash with home fries, eggs, and toast, and tried some of their waffles. The burger at my table looked appetizing. I should've ordered that. Setting: A comfy, old school diner with a bar. A little outdated. Many booths. We were seated up front next to the bar. No complaint on cleanliness. There is a small lot to park at. Could be difficult when busy. People: No complaints on the employees. Little interaction which is fine by me. Food: It was okay. It wasn't truly inspiring. The corned beef hash - a favorite of mine at similar restaurants - was... weak. No pep in its step. Somewhat bland. The same could be said for the home fries. Presentation was a bit messy, with an array of different light colors; the corned beef hash had a washed out color and the home fries weren't golden brown and bright. D'you know what I mean? It just wasn't vibrant. It wasn't a vibrant meal. Had some of the waffles which were good; crisp and brown, but I have a weakness for sweet stuff so that doesn't count. All in all, I'll give them three out of five stars which translates to average. Will I return? Sure. With a sizable breakfast menu, it's worth another try. At least their waffles are good. read more

Doesn't look much from the outside but when you walk through the door, the smells from the kitchen hit you in the face in a good way. Been currently going to this place since I could remember. It was on a downward slope three years ago but they have came back and came back with a bang. The food is great! The parking could be a little hectic but other than that, everything is great. Price is a reasonable $11-30 and they accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Great place for a time out of the house. read more
