Eggplant chicken and oyster sauce chicken with crispy noodles

Try the eggplant chicken! It's delicious! The lady working at the window was so sweet too... she saw I was traveling by bike and didn't want my food in my bag to spill so she double bagged it for me.

Service is on it and food is also awesome. They got quite a good full menu here, alot to choose from.

Located in the Sand Island/Kalihi area. Take-out only spot. Super friendly service. Good food for an even better price. There's about two parking space out front. Best to call in your order if you know what you want. Or you can order through a window when you get there. Food is always tightly packed for easy transport.

I was around the area and decided to stop in and check out the menu. Parking is very limited but street parking is available if lucky. Cashier was very nice and greeted me as I walked in. They had a very extensive menu that covered a wide variety. The Bento caught my eye which consist of furukaki rice, chicken katsu, slice of spam, teriyaki beef and mahi mahi with tartar sauce all for $9.95 which included tax. Everything was good but my favorite of all was the Mahimahi. The Teriyaki Beef was marinated to perfection, not to sweet not to tart. I also picked up a drink Raspberry Tea Snapple. The place looks a little run down, but I guess it gives it a more comfortable relaxing atmosphere. For the price I think is worth it.

Cheap eats! I usually get the fresh saimin, which is a fairly good size with veggies for only $2.75 and/or French toast (3 slices bread 2.25). The wor won ton (6.75) is also good, if you like a lot of won ton. I counted more than 10 last time. I usually ask for more veggies and less won ton. My coworker ordered the mini chicken katsu last month and got two cutlets (5.25). It was enough for two meals. The regular sized one was three cutlets. Unless you are a big eater or want a kanak attack, I would suggest sticking with the mini plates when available. Their stir-fry tends to be on the salty side. Lastly, there are items not on their takeout menu, like steamed fish, bittermelon with various meats, and mapo tofu. They all looked good, though I've only tried the steamed fish (7.75), prepared the traditional Cantonese way. With the exception of seafood and the regular beef plates, none of the items exceed $8.00. Cheap enough that you can afford to eat there at least once a week. And best of all, no msg is added to any of their dishes.

One of my go to place for lunch in kalihi/Sand Island. Try the salt & pepper chix with fried rice!

Food was delicious and not too expensive. Hole in the wall local style for a quick grab. The lady working the window was very nice.

Food is good, not a bad place to get island food. Just like all other places that serve island bbq too.

Their parking lot also extends further so it becomes a pretty decent size and we had no trouble finding a spot. The banchans were good! One of the sides was poke, which we've never seen at a Korean restaurant before. It was unexpected, but so fresh and delicious. We ordered the cold noodles, spicy pork bulgogi, and seafood pancake. Everything was really good, and we'd honestly rank those dishes above most of the Korean restaurants we've been to. The seafood pancake was packed with seafood flavor, and they definitely didn't skimp on the squid. The spicy pork bulgogi came with a bowl of rice and had the right amount of spicy. The cold noodles totally hit the spot and had just the right amount of toppings in every bite. I was left very satisfied and we even had leftovers of the pork and pancake to take home. Service was friendly, and everything arrived in a timely manner. We'll definitely be back soon to try the AYCE and the soups!

I came here for lunch. I noticed this place changed owners awhile ago. Under the new name,…read moreMoobongri, they offer Ala carte menu items as well as an AYCE menu. I like that they open at 10am and that they serve delicious banchan. I came in one weekday and was seated at one of the regular tables. I guess they assumed I wasn't going to get the AYCE, even though it's pretty affordable for weekday lunch (like $28). Id like to come back to try the ayce sometime. I decided on the cold noodle and kalbi combo for $24. The cold noodles by themselves are only $14, so I thought there would be at least a couple pieces of kalbi in the combo. Nope. Apparently one piece of kalbi is $10. It was served hot, but it was served on a hot plate with onions and the plate itself wasn't hot. Why serve it on a hot plate? Very confusing. The cold noodles were refreshing, but you can get pretty good cold noodles at any Korean restaurant I think. I was a little disappointed in the quantity of food for the combo. Or I wish they had an actual lunch special, maybe I should have just got the ayce at this point right? But I wanted the cold noodles.... Oh well. It doesn't seem like they changed the interior all that much. It was pretty nice inside to begin with and there is a big parking lot. The workers come by when you ring the table side bell. Lol, otherwise they kind of just drop off the food and leave you alone. I was surprised there were like 3 other couples eating from the Ala carte menu at 10:30. I would possibly come back to try their other soups, but I wouldn't get suckered into getting the combos.
