This place is amazing, don't let the looks of the building fool you. The food is great, it's just as good as my friends moms food who is Korean herself and she said this was a great place. Maybe we were lucky but went today on a Friday at 6:30 and it wasn't busy at all and we had amazing service and the owner was very tentative. *side note, This place uses charcoal to cook over unlike other places that cook over a gas Grill. Charcoal gives way better flavor. Give this place a try if you want some great Korean bbq. read more

Very slow service. Only one poor server running around by himself on a Saturday night - also cooking! He forgot our waters until we had to remind him once entrees arrived. The food was tasty but that's where it ends. There is a lot of smoke when someone does bbq and unfortunately it wafts everywhere and burns the eyes. I'm glad that I decided to come back for their Korean food. Definitely a good buy and the service is really, really just kind of exceptional. My mom and sis came to visit me and arrived late at night. After deciding what to eat we decided to go eat Korean since...well look at my pictures and you'll see. The lights were on and we could see people still inside but the open light was off, but figured it was just an oversight and we walked in. We were greeted by the owner/waitress/server by saying it was closed, and the open light was off. We were kind of put off by that but she said we could sit down and we were given menus. I told my fam to stay away from the Korean/Chinese food but wasn't sure about the Korean food. I got the soon tofu-the silk tofu soup, my sis got the kabi tang which is a short rib soup and my mom got the stir fried squid. The lady went back twice to before we confirmed our order to make sure that 1) the squid was available and 2)to see if the broth for the kalbi tang was good. I thought it was good of her to check on the quality of the food served. My soon tofu was delicious and the banchan they served were really quite good and the owner came by to check on us and talk to us, asking us where we're from and she was really funny to boot! My mom and sis both really liked the food here, and my mom said how glad she was that there was a good Korean restaurant for me to eat at. Stick to the Korean food and you'll be good. read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time after seeing that they served one of my favorite dishes Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles with pork) and I was not disappointed. Everything tasted wonderful and flavorful and my meal was prepared quickly. I also did an order of the Kimbap roll and it came in a huge portion that filled me up. Also came with side dishes as well. My favorite place to go to when I'm in town. I always order the hot pork and bugogli or however it may be spelled. I will say ordering carry out is not my favorite because it seems like they short you in the portion sizes. However I keep coming back because it's so good to me. A pick up order depending what you order normally will take 10 minutes. If your doing the buffet I would say arrive very early because they don't refresh the buffet often until it's almost gone. read more

Food is good and plentiful, but facility needs work. Food was good and real Korean. I had the steam dumpling's as an appetizer along with a spicy dip. My dinner was Galbi with fried rice. The meal came with assortment of kimchi, sprouts, fresh veg. And cucumber this was enough for two people. The lady was very personal and willing to provide you anything you needed. She also provided us with extra take home items to try. Also she also gave us sample their kimchi pancakes. Very good . Overall I love the food , the service, but the facility needs help. read more

It was ok. The food was decent enough, of course you're not gonna get it as good as being in Korea anywhere here really, but decent enough. Ambience is cozy. 3 stars for the service. It looks like 2-3 people running the place, both cooking and serving at the same time. So I understand if service was a little slow but it took me about 20 minutes to even have someone ask if I wanted a drink and it took me almost an hour and a half to have a bowl of noodles. We're moving to Clarksville as part of the Illinois Diaspora. We're fleeing outrageous taxation that shows no sign of abating. So, as we are driving down Fort Campbell Boulevard on the way to our home inspection we decide we want Korean food and Google Maps showed us New Korea Restaurant just 1.3 miles away. We are so glad we dined here for lunch. I had the bulgogi. It was well-prepared. My wife had All the Way Fried Rice which was excellent. A collection of kimchi and other garnishes came with the meal and we were offered additional, but declined because we were so full. We had the back room to ourselves. Our server took very good care of us. She shared with us that they've discontinued the buffet during the current pandemic. The food was excellent considering the geographic location. The ambience can use some help. There was only one server when we went there. The server was on the verge of being overwhelmed. There were 4 of us, but all in all, the server managed to take the orders in timely manner and deliver the dishes in timely manner as well. I absolutely love this place!!!! The food is AHH-MAZING. The pricing is a little high but it's worth it. When me and my husband visit we usually get the grilled platter for two and cook our own meat and the marinade and smoke they use makes everything taste delicious. If you have never had it before I recommend starting with their Korean Short Ribs! It's like $12.00 but it's literally a WHOLE plate of short ribs and white rice with the pickled veggie sides. It is so rare for Yelp to let me down..but on this place I was let down hard. Hubby and I are huge fans of Naru and I kept hearing about the buffet here M-F that was supposed to rival our place. So yesterday we decided to try it. We got there an hour after they opened and the lady who greeted us was very nice. She made sure our sodas and water stayed full as well. Lunch buffet was 8.99 per person. Although it was just us and a couple more people, the buffet food out was either almost gone (Bulgogi) or looked like it had been out much longer than an hour (the fried rice, regular rice and Kimchi). Was told more Bulgogi was just being made so we decided to get the buffet. Mistake. The rice tasted just as old as it looked. The teriyaki chicken tasted like burnt old chicken - nothing like it should. None of it tasted fresh. When the Bulgogi did arrive, it was only enough to fill less than half of the buffet bowl so the 2 ladies who made a beeline for it and piled it high left very little for hubby and I. It tasted okay; fresh at least but then I noted maybe why it wasn't filled on buffet line - an older Korean woman had came in maybe 5 min earlier with a younger lady. The younger one mentioned to the waitress they never seemed to make it there for the buffet so she was excited for her mom to try it. After "filling" up the buffet, the waitress brought out a HUGE plate of Bulgogi just for them. It seemed to make the older lady happy so I thought that was sweet in a way but made it all the more obvious who she preferred her customers to be. She knew it was our first time too and the only thing extra we got was a tummy ache later from the small bit we did eat. 1 star for the decent Bulgogi (tho it was waaaay more onions than any Bulgogi I've had at Elaine's or Naru) and 1 star for never letting our drinks be empty and being a decent server. Avoid the buffet. Maybe try something from the menu instead? Not us tho. We will stick with Naru. read more

The sad thing is that since my original review the place is going downhill. The lunch buffet is now almost $10 after tax and is still Monday through Friday from 11am-2pm. HOWEVER, because of the price increase business seems like it's dropped off some. In order to save money, the food is not refilled until it's practically empty. So then customers wait 10-15 minutes for food refills only to have 5 people get up at the same time for it. Example: refills on sweet and sour pork is usually around 10 pieces. The last time I went a couple walked out after one plate because there were no buffet refills for 20 minutes! (Positive is they weren't charged). The sweet and sour pork, spicy pork bulgogi, and kim bob are still delicious. The chap chae is decent and so is the bulgogi, but definitely not as good as the other food I mentioned. Service is not bad, but awkward when server is standing around staring at you because hardly anyone is in there. read more

Most decent Korean restaurant after mom and pop Korean restaurant in town. A little bit pricey but they offer full course of all Korean foods. They even offer charcoal BBQ on the table which is really rare around here but it make the foods more tasty and more authentic. I ordered a Soondobu, looks like it was a family size, b/c I am used to paying around $7.99 for a hot pot in the PNW. The Soondobu was good and extra spicy like I asked. The Banchan dishes were a disappointment though, it did include the kimchi, but the other side dishes were very basic and bland--maybe to accommodate the Caucasian majority in the South. The service was always prompt to ask if we needed anything, but I'm not used to waitresses working/attending tables while eating their meals and watching tv at the same time, which is unprofessional in my opinion. read more

Last time we came for dinner and were not happy about it but we blamed ourselves for ordering the wrong dishes. This time, we came in for lunch buffet which is $6.99 from 1100-1400 Mon-Fri. The food was actually better than when we came last time. There were about 20 dishes including rice and fried rice, pork with hot pepper (my wife's favorite), hot chicken wings, beef bulgogi, chap chae (silver noodles made from sweet potato), kim chi, kim bob(rice roll), desserts,and fruits. The establishment inside is so dirty & part of the ceiling fell on top of some other customers while they were eating. I ordered my go to soup (yukejang) and it was good until I was coming to the end of finishing the soup and on my spoon were 2 maggots....equals to...Did I just eat a bowl of soup with maggots in it? BEST KBBQ IN TOWN!!!! Love love love their chap chae noodles and ribs via all you can eat buffet. My husband and I love the endless crablegs the most!! Amazing and delicious every time!! They used to give out a bomb lemon meringue pie but lately they haven't and wish they would again.
