The lady who did my nails did a fantastic job. The turn off though was the price! $10 extra to throw some polka dots on 2 nails! My sister and friend who were with me though had poor experiences. They had to repolish their nails in the salon because of how poor they did the first time. Then every nail design they asked about they were told No, can't do that. If you didn't want dots or random swirls, you were out of luck. I've tried many salons and won't be back to this one. read more

I went for a pedicure and a nail full-in. First of all, I was told to put my feet in the water but the man started right away and don't allow my feet to soak for any time. Then he started trimming my toenails with used/dirty manicure tools. He did not get them out of a clean package and the bowl they sat in looked very dirty. He was rude and didn't say a word. I guess he didn't feel the need to communicate. He just barked out commands, like "foot in" and "out." After I noticed the dirty bowl and tools, I did not let him touch my feet again with the used manicure tools. Then, against my better judgment, hoping I would get a different person for my fingernail fill in, I stayed. Wrong, I got the same man. After letting me sit for a while, at least 5 minutes - I made a short phone call - he finally came over and started removing the (red) polish on my nails. Apparently, he may only be allowed to use one cotton swab per person, because that's all he used. He thus smeared red finger nail polish on my fingers, up to my knuckles. I thought, surely he'll get another swab and take that off but he did not. He started to move on, and at that point I excused myself, paid and left the building. This is the second bad experience I've had there so I will not go back. read more

I typically always come to this nail salon because it's closest to my house, prices are reasonable and the staff is usually friendly. However, today I am extremely disappointed in their service. My mom and I came in and put our names on the sign in sheet. We waited over an hour and still had not been put in a chair, I normally wouldn't complain but they skipped our names on the list and took a woman who signed in after us and her friend who didn't even sign in. The staff was confused about who was next and completely messed up the order but still never apologized nor said anything to us. We finally got fed up and left without getting our nails done. Absolutely will not go back!!!! I have been going there for about 2 years and while they are good at manicures, they are rude. If your nails are challenging, it is clear they don't want to do your service. Why I put up with this for so long....I don't know. They give preferential treatment to some clients. I have seen it time and time again. I have been charged more for add ons than other clients. I know this because the lady sitting next to me told me that painted (dipped) one finger a different color on each hand for free. I was getting it done and they wanted to charge me $15 per finger. Then my daughter and I went in for pedicures and we were charged an extra $5.00 each because they brought out the cheese grater callous remover which I since have found out is illegal. I tried to go to the cosmetology board over this because I was so upset at how unethical this business runs itself. So next time you think they are talking about you in their native tongue.......pull out your smart phone on audio google and translate it so you will know what they are saying about you. I called and made an appointment with Kelly the owner. I was looking forward to trying the new salon. I live close by and get my nails done every 2 weeks but at another salon. Kelly said we don't usually take appointments but it is rainy and a slow day so come at 1pm and I will take care of you. When I came to my appointment at 1pm she ignored me and I waited until 1:25pm until I went up to a coworker and said I had an appointment today and wanted to know when I would be taken care of. The woman said another 15 to 20 mins and so I left the salon. I called Kelly later in the day and she told me that " I must of misunderstood her because she never takes appointments.". Why would I lie? I told her that she needs to take accountability and shouldn't lie to a potential new client. I will not return to the salon or recommend it to anyone in New Albany. read more
