I am absolutely disgusted on how my experience went tonight at En Vogue Nails. I've been going to En Vogue Nails for about 15 years now and have been nothing but impressed but today when I went in it was awful. I don't normally make yelp reviews about things based on one experience but today takes the cake. I made an appointment around 2:00 PM and was told that I could not have an appointment until around 5:30 PM. I show up for my appointment and they take me right away but when it comes to her putting on gloves she only had latex gloves. I asked if she had any other glove because I have a allergic reaction when my skin touched latex and she just looks at me and goes no no no. The one man that normally works there just ignores what's happening and he is normally the one that communicates when peoples English are not the best so after that I walk up to him you ask if he has any other gloves and he says no. I also let him know that people have irritation or allergies to latex and he says that's the only kind of gloves that we have. I'd then proceed to ask if she can do it without gloves and she goes no and points to her manicure. As I'm walking out, one of the other lady stops the girl working and says use my gloves. Sounds like somebody else there has a latex allergy and the point is completely ignored. I do not want to give my money to a place that is not willing to accommodate people based on allergies. This experience makes me not wanna go to En Vogue Nails again anytime soon and that sucks because it's my favorite and they do the best job. This is why my stars are still pretty high but this experience is awful. In the end, I did not get my nails done because why would I sit there after that experience? read more

I walked in and asked if they could do an eyebrow wax. I usually go to the waxxpot but i was shopping next door in Kroger. they told me they're busy. I tried to ask if they could do it later and they just ignored me. It was super empty. Only about 3 customers inside. Won't ever step foot back in this unprofessional rude environment read more

I had an appointment scheduled at 12:15 got there and got checked in. Anna came up to me and told me I would have to be patient she had a client she had to work with she was driving her crazy. Anna said she would need 15-20 minute...Anna took this client back to do a pedicure I waited a 1/2 hour no one ever said anything to me and I went out to my car I went back up and Anna was still doing pedicure. I ended up leaving and won't be back!!! Sorry but you don't treat customers like this. Anna must if valued other customer more than me. read more

I gave this operation 3 tries. I would give my first visit a 7/10 as I like the tech. The woman that appears to be the owner felt disingenuous and chooses who she's friendly with (my opinion). My second visit was about the same, but the gel application cracked in less than a week. Looks to be a polish quality issue. Returned to have the problem fixed and the owner was rude about fixing the issue. She wanted the tech to only fix the nails she deemed problematic. Had she looked closer, 8 of my nails were chipped and or cracked. She was not happy to learn that, for the fix, I wanted a different color. The tech offered and I was not going to risk having the same subpar product reapplied to my nails. The tech even commented on the brand and issues that had had previously. I advised the tech that I want the issue fixed and I would just pay... again. I was given a 10% or 20% discount. I decided not to go back. When I removed the polish, I could see where they filed the face of my nails too thin when they removed the gel. I would not recommend allowing them to use the drill tool to remove the gel. Research suggests I have about 4-6 months to repair the damage (grow out my nails). Rating based on last visit. Two of the technicians were actually delightful. read more

When you need a really good nail dip call Cathy. She is very quiet, has a great attention to detail and listens to exactly what you need/want. Nail care is very serious and if the tech is not extremely good you could end up with nails that need repair beyond a visit. I was getting the standard gel polish but not getting the lasting time line I was looking for. Cathy explained all the benefits, including the absence of grinding and strong chemicals. I was very impressed and her attention to detail means I can go 5-6 weeks before needing a balance. Cathy is busy but worth scheduling! 5 stars is all I could give, I'd give more! read more

I've gone back to this place when I've been in a pinch for time and/or other places have been booked, and while I still do wish there was more time and attention spent, the finished product for my pedicure 2 weeks later does look the best it's been compared to other places. The area around my big toe was nicked a bit too much though. I'll likely go back and try to splurge on an upgrade and/or not have too high expectations and tell them not to pick at that skin. read more

Had a gift card. Went for pedicure a little pricey but did a nice job. Went to pay and computer was having issues did not show how much was on gc. Was told small balance was still owed paid with cc. When I returned home owner called me to tell me she credited my cc because my gf covered it and ther was a small balance left on gf. She held it till I returned. Very impressed. This place is a pass for me. My nails look fine.....not great. I paid for the 3rd tier pedicure. $50. Zero massage. I even asked her about it and she looked at me funny. Place isn't dirty but isn't clean either. They do not put a cover over the pedicure bowl. I think that is very standard.... The owner was sitting next to the employee who did my pedicure. The two of them spent 30 minutes talking trash about one of the other employees. Who does that? read more

Their staff is horrible!!! And I feel like I'm short by saying that, it is WAY MORE THAN HORRIBLE!! They are rude, they would grab your hand really aggressively, they talk bad about customer in another language they don't care if you can tell what they are saying. The only good one here is Anny, she is the one who has always fixed my nails everytime they messed it up. Sandra did my nails and she was very meticulous , took her time and super nice. I don't get my nails done very often but I'm happy I walked in Envogue. I was able to walk in and not have to wait which I loved. They also do eyelashes and wax I am actually going to book the eyelashes to see if it's as good as the nails . I got a spa pedi with sugar it was $40 and gel nails $35. I gave Sandra a $20 tip because I loved her so much. read more

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars- I want to warn anyone thinking of trying out this salon!I i had to return to envogue nails after my nails were losing their coat of color and all chipping after ONLY 3 days. I went back into the shop- . Once I sat back in the chair the "nail tech" was very rough and filing my fingernails as hard as she could and pushing my hand away, just being extremely rude. I have deficit only my left arm and she pushed my hand down and said, "why can't you keep your hand straight?"She told me it was my fault because I used chemicals to clean with. I told her she didn't paint the sides of my nails and only one hand had any shine to the nails like she forgot a step. They were lumpy and fingernail polish was extended past some of the edges of my fingernails. Also, her nail dryer smelled horrible-like mold. I would NEVER recommend this salon. I will never go back or recommend it to anyone, unless you want to support a company who is rude to disabled People and won't admit when they haven't done a good job and blames the customer. I got a terrible nail fungus from this salon last April.. it's now Almost October 2018, and my nails (both hands) finally totally back to normal! I didn't find the place the cleanest. I have been twice to get a pedicure. The first time I made an appointment 30 minutes prior to coming in and last time walked in and was taken right away. I would recommend always getring an appointment, they seem to be very busy especially during lunch hours and the weekend. They ask what kind of pedicure you want as they offer a few different ones. I always have gotten the basic spa pedicure and have always been happy. Pay cash for a discount. They have a huge selection of polish. The place is clean and comfortable. I've used them for many years, and YES the owner , Ann is loud, sometimes obnoxious, often bossy , but if you aren't easily offended , and have some Personality , you take it with a grain of salt!! She's a great nail artist! The salon has a diverse group of stylist and clientele , and I've absolutely never heard anything racist as another review mentioned. Is the salon sometimes loud, YES. If you want quiet go to the salon on 62 by Blue Agave- I went there twice - they barely speak to you , do NOTHING artistic, no new chrome powders, foils or latest cool nail art, and you sit in awkward silence !! I went in to get a pedi, between a break from work and another appointment, arriving right at 5pm. I asked how long the wait would be, was told 30 minutes, then I followed up asking their average time for a pedi, and was advised about 30 to 40 minutes. I finally left after waiting an hour. As I went to leave and cross my name off the list, someone on the staff tried to get me to stay, explaining why it had taken so long. Her statement was to the effect that they only have 4 chairs and those are already filled. The reason for the low rating is not because I didn't get the pedi, rather my wasted time. With more accurate information about the wait & length of time for each pedi, I would have gladly set an appointment for the next day. read more

I wish I had known about En Vogue sooner! I found them on the luck of a draw, I couldn't get in to get my nails done at my regular place, and I walked in at En Vogue and they got me in right away! Everyone is amazing and they do so well with nails! Not to mention, many of their customers have been going for YEARS - like 5-10+! And, those same customers have the staff's personal cell phone number! You really get treated like family! It's my "regular" place now....and I couldn't be happier! read more

My first experience at this salon was one I won't soon forget. My pedicure was great but my manicure left me bleeding in four different places. The nail tech cut two of my fingers with a regular nail file and somehow didn't seem to notice or just ignored it. The other two happened when she had been working on my cuticles. Now, two days later my gel polish is beginning to peel and I am very frustrated that I had paid so much money for the worst gel manicure I have ever received. They are racist. I went in for my 5pm appointment and waited 20 minutes and this white woman walks in to get her nails done and waited 5 minutes. The so call owner sat me in an empty chair were there wasn't a tech sitting. The manager told a tech to get the white woman. When I asked to speak with the owner due to having an appointment and waiting. The owner just said I will be with you. I left and since I lived around the corner I was going to make this my new nail salon. I won't now because to them ,even though they are Asian and Indian, money is white not green. En Vogue nails is my go-to place in New Albany. I always have an appointment, and I'm seen right away. I am usually there before noon which gets me in and out quickly. Like most service-oriented businesses, the quality of the outcome depends on which tech you get. I have discovered Shay, and I highly recommend her for manis & pedis. I get the sugar scrub pedicure, but I prefer the sugar scrub be massaged into my feet and not my calves. She is great at massaging my feet which feels heavenly. She's a naturally optimistic and happy person. I have great results with Shay. I do wish they had a dryer for pedicures. read more

I was hoping that I would like this place since it's close to where I live. The one good thing was they were able to get me in for a pedicure right away as a walk in. The person who greeted me was fairly pleasant. However the lady that did my nails never introduced herself or said hi. The staff was very loud and talking about all their personal problems instead. They had music videos on and some were very inappropriate for a business. They had foul language and I felt very uncomfortable there. I can safely say I will not be back. read more

This was the worst salon experience ever! I would give it ZERO stars if I could! I invested 4 hours of my time for a pedicure and manicure! Ridiculous!!! My technician was very sweet, however it should not take 3 hours and 20 min. I had to go back the following day for them to redo my pedicure because it bubbled, and as my friend said, " looked like I did it while drinking!" The manager runs around screaming at everyone and makes what should have been a relaxing situation stressful!!! To add insult to injury the manager has the audacity to charge me $16 for the upgraded gel polish to fix the prior days mistake. Went because Nails on Neil isn't open on Mondays. Within an hour the gel manicure on my thumb had a huge air bubble covering the whole nail lifting almost the entire polish off. Went back the next day at 6:50 (they close at 7:30) and the door was locked and the woman inside repeatedly waved me away and just texted while I stood awkwardly at the door. Went back again the day after and explained the situation and the workers were so rude and said I could wait for the original tech to be done with someone else to fix the one nail. I work down the street from the place and I see them open later than their closing hours daily. Do they treat all their customers like this?! I was very excited to see a nail salon so close. I just moved out to NA and was in need of gel polish on my hands and a pedicure. My pedicure was ok. They don't have a place for you to dry your toes under lights so it was messed up before I left. My gel polish on my nails is chipped like my tinkerbell nail polish did as a child. I have never had this issue before and it was only one day after I had them done that the polish started coming off. I will look for another salon in the area and highly suggest you do too if you are considering this one. read more

not a good experience- first of all very unfriendly. We made 3 pedicure appointments and all 3 left unsatisfied. We left with rough feet and and traces of old polish on our toes and cuticles. The worst part is that they charge extra for a scrub they put on your leg but do not ask first! It was $10 more for them to rub a sugar scrub and rinse it off. Also, there is a $5 off coupon on their website currently. We printed it off...and they refused to take it because its expired, even though the date printed was that day. I have been a long time client for several reasons. The most important reason is that they have always done excellent work! Another is that I have always been able to get an appointment within a reasonable time frame. Their salon is clean with lots of "service" and Polish choices. I became a client when the owners had a salon in Westerville where I live. When they sold that salon I started driving to New Albany. There are many choices in Westerville but I choose to drive the distance for the best service! read more

I came in for a dip polish (ANC/NexGen). The tech did a great job removing my old dip polish. She used the foil method and only used the electric buffer to get the initial top coat off (which I was very happy about). The reason for the one star is because she was not very good at doing a dip polish. I think I might've been her first attempt at it. She said their salon just got it a week ago. I left the salon with uneven lumpy nails because she hand buffed it instead of using the electric one to make sure it was even and the cuticle line was neat. I also don't think it was completely dry before I was told to go wash my hands. All in all, I think gel is the way to go if you go to this salon. Also, it's super expensive. read more

If I could give it less than a star, I would. I came here because my friend highly recommended it, and she made appointments for both of us, together. Our appointment was at 5:45. We were hoping we could sit together and have our nails done. My friend and I still had to wait over half an hour, and when her time came, I was left waiting. I had to wait an hour before I could get my nails done, and I was there until after closing. My friend actually had to leave because the guy was taking so long, and he didn't even do a very good job! My hangnails were unclipped and my cuticles were untended to. I had to take care of them when I got home, even though I'd just paid $53 to get my nails done. When he was "finished", he threw some cuticle oil on me and headed to the register. I left the salon with uneven and differently shaped nails! Reminder that my appointment was at 5:45. I didn't get out of there until 8:15! It shouldn't take that long for a manicure! Never coming back here again, and I'll never recommend it. I'm eagerly awaiting my appointment at my regular salon so I can get this fixed. read more

The girls are so nice and you can tell they love their clients. I started going there a couple years ago and they always seem so busy regardless of the time or day of the week; and if something happens they fix your nails for you no problem. The only thing i get irritated with is is when the man answers and he doesn't put me in the schedule and one time he was yelling at a girl in the middle of the day, he made my time there uncomfortable to say the least. You can definitely say he is not my favorite person there; once he did my nails and didn't do as i requested! Plus the gel chipped on my hands and feet. Then I went back and he said I did something wrong so DO NOT ASK FOR HIM! Although the woman next to him makes up for his unprofessionalism and the young girl who does nail art is my absolute favorite. She works miracles on me and the relationship between the two women will make anyone forget about a bad day. I have even gotten in on my lunch which is rare for salons to do these days. Overall I have actually fallen in love with this salon; although in my opinion they need to stop letting the man there call the shots, he is the reason i believe they don't deserve 5 stars. read more
