I made an appointment for a Pedicure on a Monday for 5:30pm. The location was quiet and nail artists were ready when I arrived. I chose the deluxe pedicure which included a massage and sugar scrub. The sugar scrub smelled amazing! The products were clean and sterile and some of the lotions and products were in individual packaging. The pedicure was $48 and with tax it rang up around $51. This is completely reasonable. The only small issue is that I had 2 nails that weren't files smooth. I fixed it up easily when I was home; but just a small thing. It's really hard to find a place that doesn't cut me when cutting cuticles. I am 95% of the time bloody and sore days after getting my nails done. I've been here two times on the recommendation of a friend. I have to say I am impressed! The place felt relatively clean. It wasn't very busy on either day I went and I didn't make an appointment for either but there was almost no wait time. They have a good color selection and were able to do the shape I wanted! The second time I went I picked a blue color. It didn't turn out the same as the bottle and I wish she would've def a white base coat because I think it would've helped the blue pop; however, she did do a glitter accent nail for me and it turned out SO good. This place has really gone down hill. I came in for my appointment at 1:30 to get a acrylic removal and a gel manicure. They had 5 staff members doing 9 services at that point so I had to wait. No sooner did I get seated and started with the first nail tech and she needed to start somebody else (a walk in) so I got moved to a different seat and waited 15 more minutes for the second nail tech to get to me. She got my nails wrapped in foils then she left too to go handle a pedicure so I was left again for another 15 minutes. The third nail tech shows up and finally gets started. I noticed half way through that they had not pushed back or trimmed my cuticles so when I mentioned it they told me I never asked for a manicure but i specifically wrote it in the sign in sheet. So then my tech had to hurry to get my nails done and the work was just sloppy leaving clear coat all over my finger tips. Everyone was unpleasant to say the least...I got maybe five words out of all of them before I was rushed up front to pay. This is my favorite nail place, and they never disappoint. It's a nice salon in New Albany/Gahanna. With my balances and gel I typically pay around $40. During the week they have 10% off which in nice. For my ombre powder nails I paid $50. Parking is convenient and they offer fresh beverages. It's never to crowded and the staff is always friendly. Uneven, lumpy bumpy dip with tips manicure. When I pointed out the lumpy craters she had from the poorly applied tips it noticeably irritated her and she buffed my hands so hard it hurt. The tips are pointed upward and some pointed off center as she didn't pay attention to what she was doing instead watched tv talking in a language I do not speak. My tech was so great at explaining the difference of gel nails and incredibly through. She took her time and made sure my nails were all even, smooth and the exactly length and shape I wanted. The chairs are beautiful and have the full range of massage and motion with your tootsies resting in a glass basin with a colored light under it. For the service, you rest your ankles on a padded ledge. Each chair is given its own space through separation by a gauzy curtain. There's a good sense of privacy. Everyone is professional and excellent. There are no communication barriers, so you can request exactly what you would like and also point out any problem areas in advance. Each set of instruments come in their own clavicle-cleaned and sealed packet. Pay with cash for a discount. The inside is clean and welcoming with artful stencils on the walls. I went here today and paid $150 before tip for a full set and the most basic pedicure they offer. They charged me $20 for a french tip on my nails. Then $5 for the length and $5 for shape, the length and shape are not what i wanted. The man painted my toes with gel polish when i told him multiple times i wanted normal polish. He charge me $75 just for the acrylic full set then kept adding charges based on the design i chose but did not tell me they were going to be that expensive. Also charged me $15 extra for gel on my toes that i specifically did not ask for. I usually only pay $60 for a full set before tip. I went back in with my mom and he very quickly got shitty with her. I started talking to him about it and he got up in my face explaining why the. proceeded to laugh and roll his eyes. I had asked for the owner multiple times and each time they started talking in Vietnamese and then ignored me. I have never seen this man here before and i've been going here for 2 years without issue or being charged extra (this is not the first time I've gotten nail sets like this) i had told him the length and shape i wanted and did not receive anything i wanted, nail polish was all over my hands and my cuticles are disgusting. Clean, they only speak English, nice pedicure. They definitely take their time. If you're looking to get in and out under two hours, this is not your place. The first time I had gels put on, they lasted three weeks. Since then, I'm lucky if they last two. Not sure if it's me or them, but my two neighbors have had the exact same issue. Coincidence? I'm a little sad after my experience at this nail salon. I was in search for a new salon to get my nails done before the holidays. I researched on Yelp for near by nail salons and found Lush Nail Bar. I messaged the owner ahead of time on Yelp to get a quote on the nails I would like. He quoted me at $38 and I made an appointment with the expectation of receiving this style and design. I was excited for this new experience until I entered the salon and was told the nails I would like now are $60+ instead. I was very confused and honestly lost for words. I was then told I could have the shape but not the color I desired. I then settled with a color last minute and sat down with my nail tech. Before my nails were colored I was asked to pay first. I mentioned how I have a 10% off coupon since it is stated on their Yelp. She stated to me, "We can not do that." I went to this salon for the price quote I was given and their discount. I received nothing I wanted and instead settled and paid for something I did not want. Overall, my experience here was very disappointing and frustrating. I got a infection in my nail bed from this shop. I did notice she did not sterilize any of the tools she used on my nails, just pulled them out of a box or they were already on her work station. And the file and buffer were not new. I had to go to urgent care (it was that bad within hours). Afterwards I stopped by the shop to show the owner (he was not there) "Vicki" (nail tech) was upset and said she would pay my bills. She insisted she didn't cut me, I tried to explain that they are not sterilizing their tools they use. I asked to see her license she could not produce one. I'm waiting on the culture results of what type of infection they gave me, in the meantime I will be filling a report with the health department. read more

I am so upset about my nails! I got a pedi and a mani with dip on my nails and they look awful. First of all, the older woman who did my nails was completely rude. She said the paint job on my toe nails was so terrible and ugly and went on and on. She then kept asking what color I wanted on my nails and I wanted black. She said how she doesn't like black and went on and on about that and kept asking me what color until I changed the color. My dip nails turned out awful! I have been to Lush a few times. The last two times the older lady there provided my services. I had issues with her the last time but she ran up to call me back for my pedicure so I didn't know what to do. She is awful! So rough! Actually pounded the bottoms of my feet with her fists. Beyond that, she took the cheese grater like instrument to the bottom of my feet, which is normal, however, she used it on my toes! She sliced my big toe wide open. It was bleeding badly and she tried to hide it from me! Now my toe is infected! I can't believe I paid for this service. I used to love this place but now I'm not so sure. I'm greeted immediately when I enter and told to pick a color. The staff is always friendly and engaging. They are great at either being very engaging or politely quiet depending on the client's mood. There is also a rule that the staff can only speak English, which is nice but sucks that clients are paranoid enough that a rule like that is even needed. The salon owner is kind and beautiful. The decor is outstanding. Why the 3 stars then? My last few visits have left me less and less impressed. Yesterday I went for a pedicure. The water was cold after 5 minutes, despite having hot water refilled. This is probably because of the metal basins. Yesterday was my first time getting a pedicure with only nail clippers, a 60 second pumice and polish. The massage (which was great) lasted twice as long as the pedicure! Today my nails are beautiful polished but not buffed, not shaped, only cut down, and they have ridges beneath the polish. This is the the first time my nails have had ridges after a pedicure. I used to love this salon. I want to continue loving this salon. Sadly I probably won't be back, or at least not for a quite some time. read more

I've asked them to turn on the A/C before starting my pedicure because it was way too hot. One of the techs said they were going to turn it on, but I felt like they were lying because instead they just brought a mini fan to me. Went in for a removal of the SNS nails and a basic manicure; left with a less than par manicure and nail beds that are very damaged from the electric buffer the manicurist used. Had she left the acetone on a bit longer and scraped the polish off, my nails would be in much better shape. She did however assure me it would only take 3 weeks for the scratches she left to go away. It cost $25, tip not included.
