I appreciated the time she took with me and how explained everything in language I could understand. She was respectful and considerate of my concerns and honored my questions. She was extremely knowledgeable and efficient which engendered my confidence in her and then in my own eyes! Generally speaking the staff took me in on a timely manor and all were nice and efficient from greeting me as I came in the doors to when I left. Really disappointed in my visit to this store. The first thing the staff said when I entered was that they usually only see people by appointment, but I could look around. Then they said they close in an hour. Next I was asked what kind of insurance I had. Very strange, especially since I had not even tried on any frames yet. There were at least five workers there and only one other customer being helped. Within 5 minutes of my arrival, the staff was already closing all of the metal window gates. I blame myself for not reading the negative Yelp reviews before going into new optics optometry. First of all the person who so-called "greeted" me said can I help you with a noticeable air of disdain. Instead of what kind of glasses are you looking for or something similar, the first thing out of her mouth was what kind of insurance I had. Her professionalism and courtesy, or lack thereof, had me ready to leave the store. Fortunately, or so I thought at the time, there was another person that offered to assist me. She kept trying to upsell me on the number of scratch resistant/UV layers I needed for my glasses and asking her manager can we give him a discount on this and that. When checkout time came the sales clerk tells me "Oh darn, there's a $50 fee for the posts, I always forget to tell people that". If I had a brain in my head I would've walked out there and then. I really liked the glasses so I went with it. The glasses came in a week later without the clip ons. I was told that they were being sent separately for some unknown reason. After a week I called them and was told that the lenses were ready for pickup. When I picked up the clip ons the same sales clerk tells me "they arrived yesterday and I was just about to call you". I had an amazing experience at New Optix! I have been looking for a new optometrist for a while now. I was due for a much needed rx updated for my eyes and I also wanted contact lens. I called to schedule an appointment and spoke with one of their clinical assistants, Kim. She was super friendly and understanding of my semi-urgent situation ( I pretty much broke my glasses and needed an appointment ASAP ). I do recommend personally not to wait as long as I did for an appointment haha. They got me in within the next two days. I came on a Saturday morning right when they open. Staff was incredibly friendly. The first thing you notice is the wide selection of glasses frames to choose from. While you wait for your appointment, you can start selecting what you want! My appointment was scheduled with Dr. Ta. I believe there's another doctor in house, but they just set me up with her. If you want a specific doctor, ask the people to schedule with specific doctor. Dr. Ta did my prescription and contact lens exam. She took her time and did a pretty detailed examination which was pretty nice. After my exam, it was time to pick my glasses. Kim did an excellent job of helping me choose what glasses fit my face well. I did think she did great and probably helped me get a +2 on the looks scale with the new glasses I chose. If you are a new patient, definitely ask for Kim as she did a great job for me! 10/10 would recommend. read more

Really great experience here! I went in last summer to get glasses (already had a prescription) and the staff were super friendly. They have a decent selection of trendy frames to pick from, from inexpensive (but still cute) to designer. I returned this week for an annual eye exam and to order contacts. Dr Michael Tran is a super nice guy and took the time to narrow down the best prescription for my awful eyes. Scheduling an appointment was very easy, as the front desk staff are prompt with replying to emails (usually within minutes). I normally wear contacts so I finally went to get it taken care of and I was told that it had been over a year so they wouldn't do anything to help me. Went here for the first time for an eye exam and then ended up ordering a pair of regular glasses and a pair of sunglasses. Pretty good service, really friendly, and decent turn around time on the glasses. The sunglasses took longer due to the color and mirror effect, but turned out really sick. I've been going to New Optix Optometry for the last 4 years and I absolutely love them! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new optometrist. First off, I really love Dr. Tran - he is very professional and always answers all of my questions. One thing I look for in a provider is someone who is not only very knowledgeable but also is very empathetic and has great bedside manner! Honestly it's very hard to find these qualities and I can confidently say Dr. Tran fits this description. One thing I did differently this year is get Retinal Photography which is offered at this location. Preventative care is so essential and it was only an additional $39.00 to receive this service. I honestly think it's worth the cost and it can allow for optometrist to detect any future changes with your eyes. One thing that truly stands out at New Optix Optometry is their front desk staff. They are always so sweet and super helpful! They have excellent customer service skills and go above and beyond with helping you find what you want/need. I went in yesterday and one of the girls sat with me for about an hour looking at various glasses. We went through so many and she helped me choose the ones that were perfect for me! She was very patient despite me being SO indecisive about the frames I wanted. After choosing my lenses we went over my insurance coverage since I was also getting a year supply of daily contacts. She calculated what coverage would be the best deal and gave me a comparison: contacts versus glasses coverage through my insurance. It was super helpful and very transparent. Honestly, I love, love, love them. I use to go to Costco and Lens Crafters; however, they really didn't meet my needs. I'd say New Optix Optometry is the Nordstrom's of Optometry! There's a reason why New Optix Optometry is 5 stars. Great service. Quality goods. Efficient and professional. There is little room to "complain" about anything here. I didn't make an appointment and walked in on a Saturday afternoon. They had no remaining appointments for that day, so I made an appointment for the following Tuesday evening. Since my significant other and I were already there, we decided to take the time to pick out frames (hardest part of the whole eyeglass shopping experience). I've had eyeglasses since the second grade, so I know by heart that I have a big head. Usually, the store will only have about 2 to 3 pairs that actually fit my face (no matter which eyeglass store I'm in). After an hour or so of searching and trying on countless frames, I ended up with Gucci frames (fancy, I know, but they're the only ones that can fit my big head!) The staff also took my insurance information and started the process for validation, so that I would be all set come my Tuesday evening eye doctor appointment. The eye appointment on Tuesday evening was fast and efficient. The doctor spent time to explain the results of the retinal photography, my prescription (which was actually better - woot!), as well as explain how astigmatism works. Two weeks later, I received a call and picked up my eyeglasses. Fast, efficient, professional. Highly recommend! read more

I am glad I have found this place for my optometry needs! Different living area in town and a previous optometry office experience that left a sour note begged for a change in practice. Sharing the same plaza area as Yakyudori Yakitori and Starbucks, it is an easy location to find. Walking in, this place was clean, neat, and greeted warmly by their opticians. I noticed first their cool looking aquarium, which was also maintained. A definite must to take care of the fish, an important side note. Coffee/water/tea was available for customers while you wait and complete new patient registration paperwork. You can also browse for brand name frames and sunglasses. In for just an eye exam, one of the optical staff took me into one of the exam rooms and conducted preliminary assessments and tests prior to the optometrist seeing me. I elected to do the voluntary retinal imaging, and that was done in a snap as well. Dr. Tran had great bedside manner and did a great job explaining eye health and the findings that the previous tests exhibited. Their equipment were clean and looked like updated technology. The machine that fine tunes your prescription strength is automatic for the optometrist and was a nice surprise. My insurance for contact lenses and/or frames will not renew until later next year. However the fact that this business was helpful, not pushy in sales, and displayed great patient care have earned my business. They do have out of pocket specials with their products so just ask. I still have some contact lenses left for use, but I know I will use them for refills. Keep an "eye" out for these guys. They will take care of you. So this review is on my experience while purchasing new prescription glasses, and the customer service I received while I was there...I already had a prescription in place from another Dr. so I did not experience the optometrist here...lets begin shall we? 4 years ago, I purchased my first pair of prescription glasses from Kaiser, and until this day, this was my only pair of glasses, and my only experience was through Kaiser. Being a student now, and without any insurance, I was nervous about finding a good place that wouldn't take advantage of me simply because I do not have insurance. A little earlier on in the week, I yelped, and called quite a few places, however, New Optix from the phone call was BY FAR the most pleasant phone conversation, and the most helpful. I was looking for a specific pair of Raybans, which this store fortunately carried (although the girl on the phone ensured me that if they didn't have the exact frame I was looking for they would order it no problem). As I walked into New Optix today, the place was so cute, clean and had a HUGE selection of many modern, and classic brands including: Rayban, Dior, Prada, Tiffany's, Miu Miu, Roberto Cavalli, Oakley, Gucci, and so much more. The moment I entered the store, I was greeted by a very friendly girl, and welcomed me into the store. As I told her the frames I was looking for, I noticed lots of other glasses that I also fell in love with (shoppers blessing and curse haha) and she stayed with me to try on MANY other frames, and even offered to price every single one. It was the kind of customer service I hadn't received in a long time. I decided to come here due to all the positive reviews left of yelp and I was not disappointed. I made my appointment and everything went smoothly with both reception and the optometrist. I ended up getting a very nice pair of matte ray bans and since there was a promo going on I paid under 200 for my frame + lens. I even made my boyfriend switch to this place because of the great customer service. I went back recently because I found a very deep scratch on of the lenses in my brand new glasses. Since I hadn't even been wearing them ( I use mostly contacts) I went back to the office to see if anything could be done. Cheyenne was beyond helpful and talked to me about my options. She mentioned she would use my 1 time warranty to fix them. I told her I didn't want to do that since the glasses we're so new and I didn't think this was my fault. She told me to give her a couple of days and that she would talk to the technician to see what could be done. She called me two days later ( so fast! ) and informed me that they would do a complementary replacement of the lens that was damaged. The service here in incredible. I have the lowest of expectations when I visit any service establishment but New Optix has set a new standard of excellence and has redeemed my faith that some businesses do get it right. From the very first conversation, New Optix felt different than the other four places I had called that were on my VSP's approved vendor list. They were engaged, patient, responsive, and very helpful. Then, when I came in for my first appointment, I had a thorough and competent initial eye exam that went very smoothly. From there, I see Dr.Thai (and Oive) and she was excellent. She is a very effective communicator and her listening skills are outstanding. She listened to me as I shared my previous frustrating attempts to get progressive contacts and she gave me options with different types of prescriptions and lenses that no one else had bothered to discuss with me. I felt validated and valued as a consumer and as a patient. Also, everything she described as next steps were exactly what happened. I was able to try out various trial pairs until we found the right lenses and now I can tell you my ability to see better has helped me be more efficient and productive at work because glasses had just become an inconvenience and I am grateful to everyone at New Optix (but especially Dr. Thai) because what I thought was going to be a frustrating and disappointing experience, was very satisfying and it met and exceeded all of my expectations. This was a great experience! The last time I ever got an eye exam was back in middle school. Now being in my 30's, I figured it was time to get them checked out. I looked on the VSP insurance website and saw good reviews at this location. I was able to set up an appointment on the same day with the greatest of ease. The customer service is really top notch here! Lynn Clair and Dr. Tran were all amazing! They all make you feel comfortable and are very easy to talk to. They did a great job explaining everything I needed to know. I felt really welcomed there and not rushed or pressured. I sent most of my time with Lynn, from booking my appointment, showing me how to put contacts in, helping me pick out my prescription sunglasses to billing and explaining my insurance, she simply went above and beyond! She is friendly, out-going and very informative and detailed with answering all my questions. I came here a few weeks ago looking to get a new pair of frames. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the girl who helped me but she was great! She asked me questions about my lifestyle and chose frames for me based of the answers I provided. She was extremely helpful! I'm knocking one star off simply for the lack of diverse frames. While there are a decent number of frames overall, everything looked the same really. Because of this I ended up not purchasing anything.
