#1. Phnom Penh Noodles (House Special) thin rice noodles and egg noodles. #10. Beef Stew. BOMB

This has been on my bookmark for so long! Pretty sure this place replaced the OG Guppies We were in the area and I was really craving some Asian noodles and this was the perfect spot We got 2 dishes and an appetizer and we were stufffed! I was not expecting those portions. Very worth it for the price. I got their #1 Phnom Penh Noodles in a large so I can have half and half noodles! I got their thin rice noodles with the thin egg noodles with the soup on the side. It just hitsssss. The large is hugeee and super flavorful. I had to actually Togo this home cause it was so big We also got their Beef stew also in a large and got half large and thin egg noods. Super flavorful and the large is large. We also had to Togo this home too! The appetizer we got was their chicken wings and it was so crispy!! Loved their sauce and pickled veggies it comes with. Ate that whole thing up! Overall very delicious and happy with their portions. Highly recommend if you're in the area and not wanting India food

This is my go-to place whenever I'm craving Cambodian food. I love their Mo's special, it had noodles, chicken and pork. I got the soup separate so I could control how much soup I could add into the dish. The soup came with a bone that had some tender meat & I could enjoy the marrow in the bone. I also really enjoy eating their bai mon bowl. it's a rice dish with various meats, cucumber, tomato, and pickled veggies. It's a very balanced meal and very flavorful. The servers here are friendly and attentive. I will definitely be coming back

The spiffier sibling to one of those OG Long Beach Cambodian restaurants. Nice to have this spot in Cerritos. Service is super friendly and the food comes out quickly even when the restaurant is full. We probably wouldn't order the BBQ beef sticks again but wow the lort cha was so tasty as was the mixed rice dish which was as delicious as it was pretty. We enjoyed our meal. It is a family spot and pretty humble inside. I do wish that our table wasn't sticky. The doors and windows could also use a good scrub down sometime too tbh.

I'd never had Cambodian food before, so I was keen on giving it a go while in the area. Ordered a decent spread of food to share, includong Phnom Penh noodles (dry, soup on the side), Student Noodles, egg rolls, and Camboignets (cha kwai, but sweet). Also got a Cambodian fried rice to go. The Phnom Penh noodles and Student Noodles were tasty, huge portions and full of garlic flavor. The broth came on the side with huge hunks of meat, and was very rich and comforting. The egg rolls were nice and crispy, but just your standard egg roll. The Camboignets were a delight, nice and doughy, and similar to a French beignet. Had the Cambodian fried rice the day after, and it was decent, if a bit bland. It took a long time (30+ min) to be seated, but service was really nice once we sat down and the food came really quickly. I would definitely come early in the day and/or put yourself on the waitlist in advance, but overall, a solid introduction to Cambodian cuisine!

Cambodian Fried Rice with Chinese Sausage Bai-Mon Bowl

Back at RiceString Noodle Shack and this time I switched it up for the rice dishes--and wow. The Cambodian Fried Rice came out glossy but not greasy, perfectly seasoned with that smoky wok hei aroma that hits right away. The Chinese sausage added just the right touch of sweetness and richness, giving each bite extra depth without overpowering the dish. It's comforting, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. I also tried the Bai-Mon bowl. I initially thought it would be more salad-forward, but it's actually a hearty bowl layered with proteins and fresh greens over rice cooked in chicken broth. That broth-infused rice makes all the difference--fragrant, savory, and balanced. It's a full, well-rounded meal that leaves you happy but not heavy. The only small downside? I arrived a bit late for lunch, so the in-house soup was out of pork bones. Still tasty, just missing that extra depth. Even so, it's an easy 5 stars. The food stays consistent, comforting, and crave-worthy--and the service remains just as attentive and sweet as ever. Definitely one of those spots that keeps you coming back for more.

First time visitors Located in shopping plaza - plenty of parking spots Indoor and outdoor dining, bar dining as well Clean with industrial elements, seat yourself mostly establishment until it gets busier? Staff all helpful, help take order food run clean Happy hour for select appetizers before 6pm but unsure of the start time Cambodian style food, along with drinks, noodles, entrees, a doubled sided menu with good variety! Definetly food on the sweeter side but provides plenty of condiments to add spice sodium etc Sharing yes for sure and leftovers absolutely Tried out the student noodles and RP bowl. Wasn't sure how to eat everything but I think that what made it fun trying the food as is, dipping, mixing, or eating things in a certain order. Fresh made to order, flavors did not overpower, broth tasted comforting and soothing, the giant neck bone meat was tender and the cartilage was soft and fatty in a good way, always nice to enjoy the extra marrow flavor For meats primarily saw beef chicken pork shrimp but look like online tofu was an option and combination of the meat also an option that would also determine a price difference Would certainly comeback to try more. Certainly family friendly, date night, solo dining, and group of pals hangout establishment. Lively quiet and comfortable setting.

Oh Ricestrings, yep that spot in cerritos that has plenty of parking and seating. If you have not gone, you should definitely check them out. They provide a consistent experience with their signature soups and dishes to share with family. I will say it is much better enjoyed at the restaurant but if you can't make it up, they package it nicely for delivery. When you do go to the restaurant you'll find plenty of seats and quick service. I ordered for a total of $50 delivered to my door: two beef stew soups, 1 fried rice plate, cha-quai and round bread. Overall great deal and they're always made quickly.

This place is so good. Must get the soup noodles with soup of the side so you get the huge pork bone in the soup. My favorite is the beef and beef meatball soup noodles. Also must get the student noodles. And of course gotta get the round bread! Perfection. Soup really hits.

Nice, clean & cute Cambodian noodle place. Drove by any saw this place so stopped in to get some noodle. This place is quite nice with both indoor and outdoor patio seating. Parking is easy and plenty. Service is nice & friendly. Got seat right away in mid morning and the place has handful of customers. Easy menu and plenty choices. Got the PHNOM PENH house noodle (dry) special with bone/broth on the side, the meat bread, and iced coffee. The noodle is great, well mixed and tasty, the broth is very well seasoned and the bone (meats that is) very tendered and fell off the bone easily. The meat bread is great, big and tasty plus crunchy outside bread. Overall, great place, great noodle, great service and great vibe.

This place is one of my go to spot in Cerritos. The food here is really tasty and they have a variety of dishes to satisfy everyone. I feel like the service here is decent, just standard special. I do feel like sometimes the tables are a little dirty. I just knocked down one star because I don't think it's as good as their other location in Long Beach... I'd recommend trying the noodles dry you get a little bowl of soup on the side

RiceString Noodle Shack is a staple Khmer-owned spot serving up some authentic and delicious Cambodian cuisine in the Cerritos/Artesia area. This spot is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking spots. Wait times can get long fast, so plan accordingly to put your name down on their waitlist. Wifey and I stopped by for lunch around 12pm and it was about a 30 minute wait. They have a good amount of seating inside and outside on their patio. For their menu, they have a nice selection of appetizers, entrees, and drinks to choose from. I got the Phnom Penh House Special, wifey got the Loat Cha, and we got the Ho-ney Ho-ney and Sea Salt Cream Taro Milk Tea for our drinks. Overall, everything that we had was absolutely delicious. All of the staff here are very and friendly. If you are ever in search of authentic and delicious Cambodian food, this spot has to be on your list. There is a reason why this spot has over 1,000+ positive reviews!

Bai moun (chicken rice)

Stopped by for a quick lunch. In the many years I've been here we never ordered the shack wings. It's great! Crispy outside, juicy tender meat and just the right amount of seasoning you don't need any sauce (it does come with sweet chili). It wasn't busy when we got here at 11:30a but it must have been a lull between the breakfast and lunch crowds.

##2. Mo's Special Noodles, dry
Tiffany C.

This is basically Phnom Penh Noodle Shack's larger and modern location in Cerritos. I had been to the original spot in Long Beach which always has a long wait, but I'll be frequenting this spot more. Menu has all the classic Cambodian noodle dishes along with some more modern eats like their shack wings and egg rolls. They have a large variety of noodle and rice dishes to choose from, I love how you can customize dry or soup along with noodle type. My go to is the #2. Mo's Special with soup on the side. Their homemade broth along with the tender pork bone hits the spot especially on a rainy day. I'll be back here again!

Will you guys be open on New Year's day?

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / June 8, 2023

There is some outside seating and it's covered. I think there's heat lamps. But why need heat lamps if you can can a nice hot soup served. Hope this helps and check out my review on YELP!

They do, it's $3.50/stick minimum order 25 sticks. Also place the order a few days prior to the event so they have enough time to prepare for it :)

We will be Open tomorrow (Monday) for Dine-In.

Sorry our online menu needs updating. But Yes, we have Vegan Option available. Please ask our servers.

I'm going to say no because I am super sensitive to MSG and never had a problem

Guppy Tea House had its successful run. But unfortunately they closed down. We don’t know the details, but we believe it’s due to lack of capital.

Yes, I just asked.

We were craving some warm pho on a cold night, and Soup Shop sounded like the perfect spot. The plaza Soup Shop is located in is usually super crowded, but if you go after 9pm when most of the other restaurants and shops are closed, you'll find plenty of parking. Write your name down on the waiting list at the front podium and then wait for your name to be called. They have a few seats to wait right outside the door. Once we were seated, we were given menus. I really like that their menu has a lot of large photos of the dishes, so you know what you're getting! Once we ordered, the food came out pretty quickly despite being busy. For appetizers, we ordered the Crunchy Pork "Bao" since it sounded unique. Inside the bao is pork shoulder, mushroom, Vietnamese sausage, and quail egg. The outside has a thin, perfectly crispy layer that gives a nice little crunch when you bite into it. Really enjoyed these and would recommend! We also got the Crusted Parmesan Cauliflower. Not sure what's in the sauce, but it's sweet, tangy, and delicious! It's also topped with fried onion, cilantro, cucumber, and parmesan cheese. Also a winner! For entrees, we got the Chicken Pho and the Pho Ribeye. For the chicken Pho, you can get it with thigh or breast meat. I got it with breast meat, and they gave a good amount of meat! A little dry, but I appreciated that it was nice and lean. The flavor of the soup is really good. Pho Ribeye was also tasty! Hit the spot.

June 2026 Updated review:…read more Bowls have been dumbed down by 40%. Less meat, more noodles, less broth and less veggie amenities. Truly disappointing since they upped the prices as well. So you're paying more for less good food. I would hope they read my reviews and go back to how they served big bowls of yummy pho with great ingredients. I know food is expensive but they've already increased their prices to offshoot current inflation. SO GO BACK TO HOW YOU USED TO SERVE PHO.

What I Ordered: Juicy Pork Dumplings ($11.99)…read morePan Fried Chinese Chives Pork Shrimp dumplings ($12.99) Wonton in Spicy Sauce ($11.50) Chicken Fried Rice ($12.99) Dry fried string bean ($13.50) Orange Chicken ($14.99) Kung Pao Shrimp ($18.99) Dan dan noodle ($13.99) Beef roll pancake ($12.99) Spring rolls ($3.50) Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba Food: The Pan Fried Chinese Chives Pork Shrimp Dumplings. I absolutely loved the crispy bottom layer because it added such a satisfying crunch to every bite. The inside stayed really juicy and flavorful with a good balance of pork, shrimp, and chives. The Juicy Pork Dumplings had soup inside, which was rich and savory. I've had soup dumplings before where the wrapper breaks apart too easily, but these held together nicely while still staying soft and delicate. The Wonton in Spicy Sauce was my personal favorite from the entire meal. The spicy sauce flavor was savory with a little sweetness. I'm typically not good with spice, so this is at a spice level that should be very manageable for everyone. I absolutely loved the spicy sauce, so I started putting it on everything. Definitely put the sauce on the chicken fried rice! The Chicken Fried Rice was a great dish to pair with everything else that we ordered. With several orders of entrees, a solid rice dish is a must order for any Chinese meal. The rice had a nice savory flavor that I enjoyed, and there was a generous amount of chicken mixed throughout the dish. I even asked the waitress if they do anything special with the fried rice because it tasted better than many other restaurants. It felt comforting and balanced compared to some of the heavier dishes. The Dry Fried String Beans were cooked perfectly with a slight crispness while still being tender. The garlic and seasoning gave them so much flavor that it honestly didn't even feel like I was eating vegetables. I do have to note that these were very much on the salty side, so if you don't like foods that are too salty, I would choose a different dish. The Orange Chicken was really crispy and juicy, which I appreciated because soggy orange chicken is always disappointing to me. The sauce had a nice citrus flavor while still keeping that classic sweet savory taste. The Spring Rolls were simple with vegetable filling on the inside with a crispy outside. I would try a different appetizer next time. The Kung Pao Shrimp was packed with flavor and had a really satisfying combination of textures. The shrimp were tender, and the peanuts added a great crunch to the dish. I thought the sauce had a really nice balance of spice and savoriness without becoming overwhelming. Another dish I really enjoyed was the Beef Roll Pancake. The pancake itself was nice and chewy throughout each bite. The sliced beef with green onions and sauce all wrapped together made every bite really flavorful and satisfying. For drinks, I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba. I really liked that the jasmine tea flavor was noticeable instead of being overly sweet like some milk teas can be. The boba had a soft chewy texture, and the drink itself paired perfectly with the spicy and savory dishes from the meal. Staff: All of the staff members were quick and friendly Ambiance: Indoor seating only. A good amount of parking in the parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza.

At first, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the overall experience was better than I anticipated. The seasoning was a little strong, and some dishes had a fairly familiar, standardized taste. Nothing was bad, and everything was prepared well, but I do feel a little disappointed when the authentic flavors of traditional Chinese food become less noticeable. There were four of us, and we ordered about eight or nine of their most popular dishes. My parents really enjoyed the food. I have worked in China before, so I may be a little more sensitive and particular when it comes to Chinese food. Overall, the restaurant has good reviews, the prices are reasonable, and it was a pretty good dining experience.

Yummy Potstickers and Dumplings!…read more I got the 12 Signature Potstickers, 12 Signature Dumplings, and 2 Corn Chowders. Both the Signature Potstickers and Signature Dumplings have the same filling so I'm assuming it's the same if you were to order the Kimchi version. The Signature filling has a good amount of meat and veggies. I prefer the Potstickers because I found the crunchy texture better suited with the filling. The Corn Chowder was okay, it had corn and pork in it. It was simple so there wasn't anything bad or good about it. The employees are very kind and helpful! I asked the employee in the front if he preferred the Signature or Kimchi, and he told me he recommended the Signature first to try it out. I am now interested in trying out the Kimchi version too. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating. There is seating indoor and outdoors, there are water cups near the register, and a sauce station on the left side of the counter. There's Sesame Oil, Black Vinegar, Garlic Sauce, and Soy Sauce. I prefer Garlic Sauce the best! The restaurant also gets pretty cold so maybe bring a light jacket. When I went to the restaurant, there was only one person in line ahead of me, and most people seem to order take out. I would come here again to try out the noodles and the Kimchi potstickers!!
