The spiffier sibling to one of those OG Long Beach Cambodian restaurants. Nice to have this spot in Cerritos. Service is super friendly and the food comes out quickly even when the restaurant is full. We probably wouldn't order the BBQ beef sticks again but wow the lort cha was so tasty as was the mixed rice dish which was as delicious as it was pretty. We enjoyed our meal. Ordered a decent spread of food to share, includong Phnom Penh noodles (dry, soup on the side), Student Noodles, egg rolls, and Camboignets (cha kwai, but sweet). The broth came on the side with huge hunks of meat, and was very rich and comforting. The egg rolls were nice and crispy, but just your standard egg roll. The Camboignets were a delight, nice and doughy, and similar to a French beignet. Had the Cambodian fried rice the day after, and it was decent, if a bit bland. They provide a consistent experience with their signature soups and dishes to share with family. I will say it is much better enjoyed at the restaurant but if you can't make it up, they package it nicely for delivery. The noodles could be a little chewier. Just my preference. The kathiew and soup is really good. Has the authentic Cambodian kathiew flavor that tastes clean and light. I've been here a few times and each time, I try to order something different. For some reason, loat cha always makes it into the order. Well, that's because it's delicious of course. Everything I've had though, honestly hasn't disappointed. The place is not huge, but good enough for smaller groups. I like having the extra ginger sauces and its one of my favorite. It is not too strong which i love. With the beef stick appetizer, I could have been full just off of the soup alone. The noodles were simple but very flavorful. I always drive by here but had never actually stepped inside until today and holy smokes, I am so glad I did. The food was amazing! We were seated almost immediately and I ordered the three beef sticks plate that comes with rice and papaya salad as well as a small soup. Outstanding overall, but the tender beef on the sticks and the papaya salad were my favorite. And when I mixed them all together with the French style bread my friend ordered for us to have, it was insanely delicious. A huge however: came for lunch at close to 2 pm, which would have been just after the lunch hour rush , so many tables were unavailable because none of them were cleared! I would like to start off by saying that all of my previous experiences have been nothing short of positive, so this recent visit was definitely a disappointment. I acknowledge that I probably arrived at a poor timing while the breakfast crowd that had been nursing their tables for an hour and made a mess have created a circumstance that led to poor table turnover, but they could have also done a better job at seating customers since there were plenty of empty tables. Not a big deal since it wasn't a terribly long wait, but it does suck seeing an empty bar seating and basically not being served. When I finally got my food they gave me the wrong type of noodle, but I was on a time crunch and in no mood to really complain so it's not the biggest deal. Rather egregious was forgetting the cha quai, and I wasn't going to bother asking for it when I finished my soup by that time anyway. When I went to pay and told them to remove it since I never got it, I didn't get anything more than a tacit acknowledgement. Seems like it's pretty normal to drop the ball. Overall it was an incredibly disappointing experience and maybe I can fault it to the weather and perhaps a chaotic escaping the rain for soup early morning crowd, but honestly, I'm probably the easiest customer as someone who's just trying to get in and out and even that was a whole unpleasant experience.
